In der Nähe gibt es eine große Auswahl an Restaurants, Bars, Geschäften und Supermärkten, Apotheken und anderen Gewerbeflächen.

ANREISE
Die beste Möglichkeit, die Wohnung zu erreichen, ist der Transfer. Bitten Sie uns, einen bei unseren lokalen Partnern zu buchen. Er ist billiger als die Taxis, die Sie am Flughafen finden. Wenn Sie ein Auto mieten, wird jede Navigationsanwendung die Adresse leicht finden.
Es gibt eine Bushaltestelle 2 Minuten zu Fuß von der Wohnung entfernt.

Bitte beachten Sie, dass für alle Personen, die in der Gemeinde Funchal übernachten, eine Touristengebühr erhoben wird. Für alle Gäste, die in Ferienanlagen und/oder Unterkünften übernachten und mindestens 13 Jahre alt sind, wird eine Gebühr von 2,00 € pro Person/Nacht erhoben, bis zu einem Maximum von 7 Nächten und einem Maximum von 14,00 € pro Person/Aufenthalt. We really enjoyed our stay at the apartment in Funchal. The location was perfect, walking distance from the main area in Funchal.
The only issue we had with the apartment was getting into the carpark when we initially arrived. We got the key from the safe box however this did not have the fob on it to open the barrier for the carpark and the host was not replying. Luckily someone with a fob let us in and we later found the fob inside the apartment. This could have been made a little clearer on the check in instructions.
However once we were inside our stay was perfect!!

Very nice stay, clean and functional apartment. Kitchen is well equipped. The view from the balcony is amazing. Smart tv was also a plus. Location is great, because it’s close to the bay and city center and yet it’s easy to get out of the city by car avoiding all the traffic (when going to the western and northern coast). We really enjoyed the stay.

Die Ferienwohnung ist einfach nur super! Wir werden bei unserem nächsten Aufenthalt versuchen, sie erneut zu mieten! Die Altstadt (Zona Velha) ist bequem zu erreichen, man ist nach wenigen Fußmetern im Geschehen und wohnt dennoch ruhig. Der Blick über Funchal ist toll, egal zu welcher Tageszeit! Für eine Woche waren ausreichend vorrätig: Handtücher, Bettwäsche, Kaffeefilter, Kaffeepulver, Toilettenpapier, Küchenrolle, Waschmittel, Spülmaschinentabs, Olivenöl, Essig, Pfeffer und Salz.
Die Schlafcouch ist nicht wirklich bequem zum Schlafen.
Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet, doch fehlte uns ein Küchensieb (zum Nudeln abschütten und zum Salat trocken schütteln beispielsweise).
Bis zum Schluss war es uns ein Rätsel, wo sich der Schlüssel zum Müllhäuschen befindet.
Die Schranke war zum Parkplatz hin zu, als wir ankamen. Einer muss zunächst hoch in die Wohnung, um die Fernbedienung für die Schranke in der Wohnung zu holen (befindet sich am zweiten Schlüsselbund).

The flat was great; it was clean and only a short walk away from the center of Funchal. There is also a bigger grocery store close by. The highlight was definitely the views over Funchal from the balcony. Really enjoyed staying here and can definitely recommend it.

Clean modern flat well located to many sights and restos.
Easy walk to Rua Santa Maria, water front, groceries and many other sights. Clean and has on site gated parking.
No air conditioning but host provides a fan and open the windows and there is a great breeze.

Schöne und zentrale Unterkunft mit fantastischem Meerblick und Blick auf die Stadt (zwei Balkone).
Fußläufig zu zahlreichen Restaurants und dem Herzen Funchals. Durch einen eigenen Stellplatz perfekt mit einem Mietwagen zu erreichen.
Super ausgestattetes Apartment. Leider waren die Dusche sowie das Sofa leicht verschmutzt.
Unkomplizierter Check-in und Check-out. Nach einigen Tagen wurden uns frische Handtücher und Bettwäsche angeboten.

Nice, modern, well equipped, clean flat. Great view from the two little balconies. Nice, comfortable bed. Well equipped kitchen. Quite quiet, within 10 mins (hilly) walk from old town.
Only downside was the afditional charge for early check in. The explanation was: the cleaning crew had to prioritize…. Fair, if only it had been trye, flat was empty the night before arrival.

Mes deux semaines à Funchal ont été pourries par la literie

Il s'agit d'un matelas avec d'énormes ressorts et une double armature périphérique en fer. Ce matelas est posé sur un simple panneau d'aggloméré en guise de sommier
Ce n'est pas ferme, ni extra ferme, c'est extra dur !!!

Antonio de An Island a fait mettre en place un sur-matelas de chez Ikea. Cela apporte un léger mieux, mais ne remplace pas un matelas de qualité avec un vrai sommier

Il dit qu'il ne peut faire plus et que personne ne s'est (publiquement) plaint jusqu'à présent

C'est vrai que sur Airbnb, les aspects positifs sont publiés en commentaires publics et tous les aspects négatifs sont cachés en commentaires privés

À nous, touristes, de faire changer cela

Les super hôtes, perles rares, généralement complets ... on s'en fout

Il faut tout mettre en commentaire public, le bon et le mauvais et dénoncer les faux "particuliers", qui sont en fait des sociétés

Dommage, car bien placé, bien équipé, avec une belle vue.

GREAT location! We loved everything about the condo with once exception. There was a strong smell of cigarette smoke as soon as you enter. Other than that it’s a fantastic space. Love the parking spot and the quick walk to Funchal waterfront. Oh, the views are fantastic too. Would stay here again.

Apartment was as listed. Views onto the water, city and a soccer field (exciting games to watch), and the cable car. Area is residential with lots of dogs… but noise level very acceptable at the end of the day. A short walk down to the action , Restos, groceries etc.
Wifi very fast and bed comfortable. Kitchen well equipped with a drip coffee machine .Sat on the balcony enjoying the views with coffee in the morning, soccer games in the evening 👍. Rental comes with an outside parking space (essential if renting a car in Funchal). Control of security gate is with the set of keys with the remote control .
Communication with An Island was difficult at first (took 3-4 messages for someone to answer our questions before arrival). They were responsive afterwards.
Unit had an really bad smell of stale cigarettes when we arrived. We were able to air out the unit, but the washing machine stank terribly - think previous renter smoked heavily. Not An Island’s fault,they were to look into this

we gave this stay a 3/5 rating. Nothing wrong with the apartments itself and it is as described. we found the check in instructions were unclear making the check in process confusing and time consuming. Upon entering very little was explained, we found the coffee maker tucked away on day 3, the fan hidden in closet day 6 and couldn’t figure out the parking gate key until our last day leading to lots of frustration and poor communication. That didn’t mean our stay wasn’t good it just could have been better with more explanation.

An excellent apartment with great views from both balconies. The flat is very well equipped with a proper kitchen. The WiFi works well and so does tv - if required.

It is only a 10 minute walk into Funchal centre. It is a good 50 minute walk to the hotel area - which we liked as the area was less touristy.

As clearly stated on the details- the apartment doesn’t have air conditioning- which can get abit challenging at night.

Das Appartement liegt gut zentral. Die City ist schnell zu erreichen. Wir haben den Blick auf den Atlantik genossen. Leider war es nachts teilweise sehr laut . Mehrere Hunde kläfften stundenlang um die Wette . Und es ist noch einiges los auf den Straßen. Wer einen leichten Schlaf hat, kommt nicht so schnell zur Ruhe . Das ist aber nicht die Schuld der Vermieter .
Leider gibt es keine Klimaanlage, was sehr schade ist bei der Wärme , so mussten die Fenster geöffnet bleiben . 😀Lärm , siehe oben 😀
Bushaltestelle direkt vor der Tür, in beide Richtungen Funchal und Flughafen.
Seilbahn nach Monte und Altstadt sind in wenigen Minuten erreichbar
Aber sonst war es schön auf der Insel und wir kommen wieder .

Het appartement was ruimtelijke en het gebouw was fijn. Ook waren er extra vazalliteit zo al een droog rek en een derde set handdoeken wat erg handig was. Veder was de keuken erg groot en bevoegd met alle benodigdheden. Het matras was alleen erg wiebelig waardoor we niet goed geslapen hebben.

‘An Island’s’ Alegria 111 was in the perfect spot and was exactly as depicted in the photos, and had brilliant views of Funchal and the Atlantic Ocean from the Living Room’s two balconies

Literally a five minute walk to the old town, but far away from the noise and congestion, the apartment is close enough to walk to all the major sights, and there is a bus right outside the building

The kitchen is well stocked, and as we had been away from home for close to two months, enjoyed cooking for ourselves on occasion utilising the well laid out appliances and kitchen gadgets. A large Pingo Doce supermarket is approximately 400 metres away for everything you need.

The team at ‘An Island’ were brilliant, being proactive and very responsive. Special mention to Francisco for assisting us to get in early on the day of our booking, we later ran into him walking around the old town, and to Inacia for logistical support as needed.

Would highly recommend this apartment and will definitely return.

Les autres commentaires reflètent très bien notre sentiment sur ce logement.
Vue hyper agréable, très propre, avec un parking (indispensable si vous louez une voiture) et surtout, tout est accessible à pied : magasin, resto, le centre ville...
Avoir un logement bien adapté participe a des vacances réussies et ce fut vraiment le cas.
Madère est une île géniale... A découvrir !

Le petit truc à améliorer serait les éléments de cuisine : il manque un peu de vaisselles et de couverts si vous avez des invités... Il n y avait pas non plus de tire-bouchon, de passoire ni d'essoreuse (An Islande doit pouvoir améliorer ça très facilement)...
Notre semaine nous a coûté 840€ pour 7 jours au mois d Avril. Nous avons eu la chance de bénéficier d'un tarif très avantageux (en promo), car nous avons réservé 2 semaines avant (il y a sans doute eu un désistement).
On recommande fortement ce logement !!!

We enjoyed our stay very much. The apartment is excellently placed for the old town with its numerous restaurants and shops. Busses are a short walk away enabling the island to be explored further afield.
The An Island Apart management were helpful and flexible.
The apartment is well equipped and tastefully decorated. The view from the balcony overlooking the harbour and Funchal is excellent.

Modern, well-equipped apartment, looks just like the photos. Handy café downstairs serving coffee and breakfast goods. Good views of the city and sea from both balconies. Not far to the old town - but uphill on the way back!
Something to note: we found the bed in the main bedroom to be very hard (partly personal preference).
The friendly agency team (AIA) was very helpful and responsive, even booking us a good value airport transfer.
We enjoyed our stay in Madeira.

Beliggenheden var perfekt, 10 min. gang til centrum.
Lejligheden er meget rummelig, ren og godt udstyret.
Også rart med elevatoren.
En mindre ting: det vil være en god ting at udskifte elpærer i lamperne fra blåt lys til varm hvid.
Adgang til badeværelset var fra stuen, og blev lukket med en skydedør i frostet glas.
Døren lukker ikke helt til, så det kan være problematisk med privatliv, på begge sider af skydedøren.

Beautiful apartment.
Stunning views and beautiful layout.
Definitely the place to stay in Funchal. Walking distance from the Old Town and Cable cars plus parking in private car park with security barrier. Could not ask for more!!!!

The house was cleaned and it's in a central location, the view from the balcony is stunning.
I'm leaving 4 stars though because the bathroom door was broken and being two couples was not easy to use. The sofa bed was not ready on our arrival and this was a bit confusing at first.

This apartment was perfect for our week's stay. The views are amazing! While we did not cook, there seemed to be everything you would need. The neighborhood is not touristy, very local, which we loved. It is a very good location, close to bus stops and very convenient for walking to the many areas of Funchal. Beautiful, clean, comfortable apartment.

Eine wirklich sehr schöne, große Wohnung mit toller Aussicht auf die Stadt, sowohl bei Tag als auch bei Nacht ☺
Alles was man benötigt ist vorhanden (und auch mehr wie z.B. eine Waschmaschine).

Die Altstadt mit den ganzen Restaurants, die Seilbahn und das Stadtzentrum ist in kürzester Zeit zu Fuß zu erreichen, auch ohne größere Anstiege.
Kleine und auch ein großer Supermartkt (Pingo Doce) sind ebenfalls schnell und bequem fußläufig erreichbar.

Das Einchecken war nicht so ganz optimal, weil wir im Dunkeln erst gar nicht den winzigen Aufkleber auf dem Schlüsseltressor gesehen hatten und dann auch nicht wussten, dass die Wohnung (mit der Nummer 12) in der 4. Etage ist.
Wir haben erst bei der falschen Wohnung an der Tür gefummelt, - die dadurch aufgeschreckte Bewohnerin hat uns dann weitergeholfen.
Außerdem kommt man ohne den zweiten Schlüssel, der sich aber in der Wohnung befindet, nicht mit dem Auto durch die Schranke zum Parkplatz. Und das Parken vor der sehr steilen Einfahrt ist kein Kinderspiel ...

Insgesamt können wir diese Wohnung guten Gewissens jederzeit empfehlen und wir haben uns sehr wohl dort gefühlt.
Der Abschied hat uns traurig gemacht.

El alojamiento muy cómodo y agradable con todo lo necesario. Tiene dos terracitas que vienen muy bien para tomar algo o secar la ropa y tienen buenas vistas al mar y a la ciudad. Está muy cerca del centro de Funchal a pie. El acceso para salir con el coche y conocer la isla también bien contando con las cuestas empinadas de Madeira en general. La comunicación con los anfitriones fluida. En resumen fue acierto coger este alojamiento. Además tiene parking dentro de la urbanización.

This Airbnb is perfect for anyone who wants to explore Madeira by car because it has a perfect easy reserved parking space in a private lot- SO handy. The balconies have lovely views and the location is ideal for walking to dinner and into town. We plan to come back here on our next visit!

The apartment was just as shown on photographs, spotlessly clean and fresh smelling. It had everything we needed and more for a stress free holiday. Very comfortable (large) bed, adequate crockery and cutlery, superb power shower, even a very decent hairdryer 😊

Perfect location, 5 mins walk into old town and 5 mins in the opposite direction to Funchal main town, couple of roads are steep but not too challenging. Lots of restaurants within easy reach, daily market place and large Pingo Doce supermarket within walking distance. Both balconies have a spectacular view of the ocean and also the mountains, we enjoyed watching a cruise ship come into port and also the cable cars gliding by. The apartment building is secure and communal areas are kept clean.

I would absolutely recommend this apartment.

Great flat in a fab location, only 10 mins walk from the old town's restaurants and bars. The flat has everything you need for your stay including allocated parking and 2 balconies with sea view. Smooth check in and great communication. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.

This condo was the best! We truly enjoyed our stay. It was modernly furnished with all the basics. Very comfortable and we enjoyed the 2 balconies every day. The location was perfect. A quiet building and An easy 10 minute walk to town. We loved everything about An Island. Can’t wait to come back.

Great flat. Updated furnishings, lots of space, an awesome shower, and a great view from the balcony. It was a bit confusing to have the check in information in a different app/website, but when I couldn't figure it out, the management company was quick to respond and help out. I was a little cold the first night because I couldn't figure out where the thermostat was, but it warmed up after the first night, so it wasn't an issue. The flat doesn't appear to have air conditioning, so it might be warm in the summer. It was nice to have a lift and parking, but my rental car bottomed out on the driveway unless I backed out. Overall, a lovely stay and would recommend.

We enjoyed our stay - the balconies were lovely for looking out over the sea. The flat is around 5mins from the old town, and so it was easy to get around. The amenities were good, and the property included a fan in the bedroom for sleeping.
