Modernes Studio-Apartment, mit einer maximalen Kapazität für 4 Personen, in einem der touristischen Zentren von Funchal, nur wenige Gehminuten von den Stränden der gesamten Küstenregion der Stadt.
Diese Eigenschaft, auf der ersten Etage eines Gebäudes mit Aufzug gelegen, hat einen schönen Balkon und eine geräumige Terrasse mit guter Sonneneinstrahlung und bequemen Gartenmöbeln.
Diese Wohnung ist mit einer Klimaanlage ausgestattet. Das Wohnzimmer ist in zwei Bereiche unterteilt, einen Wohnbereich mit Schlafsofa, Kabelfernsehen und einer kleinen Essecke sowie einen Schlafbereich mit einem Doppelbett. Das Badezimmer ist für alle Bereiche gemeinsam und ist mit einer Dusche ausgestattet. Die Küche ist mit allen notwendigen Annehmlichkeiten ausgestattet, um einen angenehmen Aufenthalt zu genießen.
Wi-Fi ist in allen Bereichen verfügbar.
AREA
Die Wohnung befindet sich in einem der touristischsten Viertel der Stadt. Es ist nur wenige Gehminuten von Gärten, Stränden und verschiedenen Dienstleistungen wie Supermärkten, Restaurants, Bars, Apotheken, Friseuren, CTT und Einkaufszentren entfernt. Für Strandliebhaber gibt es verschiedene kostenlose und kostenpflichtige Möglichkeiten in unmittelbarer Nähe des Hauses.
Wenn Sie das Stadtzentrum erkunden möchten, finden Sie hier zahlreiche Informationen über Aktivitäten und Sehenswürdigkeiten in Funchal und in den verschiedenen Orten der Insel Madeira.

Die beste Möglichkeit, das Haus zu erreichen, ist der Transfer. Bitten Sie uns, einen solchen bei unseren lokalen Partnern zu buchen. Er ist billiger als die Taxis, die Sie am Flughafen finden.

I stayed at Lido View Place for a week, and while there were some positive aspects, there were also several issues that significantly impacted our experience. To start with the positives: communication before our arrival was excellent, and the check-in process was handled smoothly and efficiently. The apartment itself is very spacious and clearly benefited from substantial investment and care at some point in the past. However, shortly after our arrival—after a long day exploring beautiful Funchal—we discovered there was no hot water in the apartment. It turned out that the boiler had been switched off by the staff and not turned back on. While mistakes happen, this meant we had to wait several hours before we could take a shower. On the second day, we noticed there was only one towel left on the toilet, which we assumed was meant for the floor due to its texture. We had no hand towels. I reached out to the host to request a hand towel, and while I was assured one would be provided, it never arrived. More concerning was the start of noisy construction work right next to the building on the third day. While I understand that some things are out of the host’s control, I believe guests should be informed in advance of such disturbances, along with an estimate of how long the work will continue. On the second day of noise, I sent a video showing how loud it was inside the apartment—it was impossible to have a normal conversation without shouting. I received an apology and was assured the work would not continue. Unfortunately, the construction noise persisted the following day. Upon checkout, we received a kind apology for the inconvenience and were offered a 10% discount as a gesture of goodwill. I appreciated this acknowledgment. However, despite following up, I have yet to receive any response regarding the promised discount. My messages have been read but ignored

Poco puedo decir bueno de esta estancia. Quizá es que tiene un espacio suficiente y es luminoso.
Apartamento sucio con manchas en sabanas y sofa, cama incomoda y ruidosa, la atención telefónica por parte de la gestora es insuficiente. La terraza exterior es grande pero está bastante sucia y con el mobiliario descuidado. No repetiría y tampoco se lo recomendaría a nadie por este precio.

Die Unterkunft ist wie auf den Bildern und im Inserat beschrieben. Wir haben uns hier wohlgefühlt. Wir haben immer schnell Antworten von An Island bekommen und es wurde sich gut um unsere Anliegen gekümmert. Wir hatten einmal eine Kakerlake im Bad, es ist aber bei dieser einen geblieben und es kam am nächsten Tag jemand vorbei mit einem Mittel gegen Kakerlaken. Der einzige wirkliche Minuspunkt ist die Garage, die Einfahrt ist extrem eng und steil und auch in der Tiefgarage selbst ist sehr wenig Platz zum Rangieren. Ich würde dort nur mit einem sehr kleinen Auto reinfahren- wenn überhaupt. Ansonsten waren wir sehr zufrieden.

Es verläuft eine etwas größere Straße direkt zur Seite des Balkons. Dafür war die Geräuschkulisse mit geschlossenen Balkontüren in Ordnung.
Die Polster der Terassenmöbel waren leider zum Teil nicht mehr bezogen oder beschädigt. Generell ist die Terasse micht super einladend, da man auf micht sonderlich schöne Hauswände und Fenster schaut. Das waren nir ddie negativen Punkte. Der Rest war wirklich super!

Apartament jest w pelni wyposażony i usytuowany w przepieknym miejscu. Bylismy bardzo zadowoleni. Jedyny minus to dosyc halasliwa ulica. Siedzenie na balkonie bie sprawialo frajdy z powodu halasu. Oraz wieczorami tez bywalo glosno. Pomimo tego 10/10

Doskonała lokalizacja - świetne połączenia komunikacyjne (autobusy) z centrum Funchal, łatwy dojazd do drogi ekspresowej prywatnym samochodem. W okolicy mnóstwo świetnych restauracji i sklepy spożywcze.
Dużym atutem była dostępność miejsca postojowego w garażu podziemnym (wjazd i wyjazd dla doświadczonych kierowców).
Mieszkanie komfortowe, o dużej powierzchni, świetnie wyposażone - dostępna suszarka do włosów w łazience, czyste ręczniki, wszystkie akcesoria kuchenne. Dostępna kuchenka mikrofalowa, czajnik, lodówka, pralka, zmywarka, żelazko, deska do prasowania, suszarka, odkurzacz.
Łóżko było wygodne, ale bardzo skrzypiało, każdy drobny ruch wybudzał ze snu.
Klimatyzacja / wentylacja mogłyby działać lepiej (urządzenie chyba było za małe na taką powierzchnię mieszkania).
Dostępnych mogłoby być więcej akcesoriów higienicznych (papier toaletowy, mydło, ręczniki papierowe).
Dużym atutem była dostępność miejsca postojowego w garażu podziemnym (wjazd i wyjazd dla doświadczonych kierowców).

Łóżko było wygodne, ale bardzo skrzypiało, każdy drobny ruch wybudzał ze snu.
Klimatyzacja / wentylacja mogłyby działać lepiej (urządzenie chyba było za małe na taką powierzchnię mieszkania).
Dostępnych mogłoby być więcej akcesoriów higienicznych (papier toaletowy, mydło, ręczniki papierowe).

Really nice apartment located in super convenient place, just 2 minutes away from the station from where you can take the bus to Funchal downtown, 15 minutes ride, a small Spar downstairs and a bigger super market 3 minutes away up the stairs. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you might need for a longer stay, including tupperware for taking food with you on trips, and the balcony and the large terrace overlooking the street was a nice way of spending mornings and evenings sipping coffee or having a glass of wine. They even changed our bed linen and towels midway through our 11 nights stay. Also the underground parking spot is a big plus.
The bed was squeaking which was kind of annoying but upon discussion with the hosts they promised this will be fixed for future stays.

Erg genoten van het appartement en het terras. Enige grote nadeel was het krakende bed. Bij elke draai kraakte het. Dat heeft onze nachtrust erg verstoort. Daarnaast was er ook geen handdoek/theedoek in de keuken aanwezig. Douche cabine in badkamer was klein. Daarnaast was de gelegenheid van een garage met prive plek erg fijn.

I’ll start with the good: the location is nice. It’s in the heart of Lido, 40 min walk from Funchal and 2 mins from a grocery store. Surrounded by great restaurants and local stops for Poncha. The facilities were also nice, the bed was large and comfy, the AC worked well, the washer worked well.
Now for the bad, the check in was confusing and needs better information. I arrived late at night, the garage is locked and there is nowhere to enter a keycode. After scrounging for info I found a phone number for a check-in liaison and called it. The contact said that the garage opener was on the kitchen counter so we had to go up and grab it. Ok fine, there is no nearby parking so we blocked off the garage while we tried to enter. We could not find the apartment entrance anywhere. We called our contact again and he said he was driving and would send instructions in a few minutes. He never did. We asked both shops below the building how to enter the apartment and they did not know where to enter. Ultimately we found you have to go down an unlit alley on the right-hand side and the lockboxes are there. There are no lights so you need to hold a flashlight with your teeth while you enter the code to get the key. I suppose the lighting is not the fault of the host but some instructional photos would have helped. That was the start of our poor communications.
The next issue we had was trash. The instructions in the building say that there is trash next to the Spar grocer on the first floor. OK great, we found the trash (marked ‘Casa de Lixo’). Except it’s locked and none of the keys worked to open it. Again we called our contact and got no answers. He got back to us 2 days later and said he was on break and that his colleague was supposed to reach out. (No colleague reached out) Still did not give us info how to get in there. We ended up just hoarding bags of trash in the apartment and hopefully the cleaner has a key.

The unit was just what I needed. It was nice and quiet, had a nice kitchen, laundry, and a comfortable bed. I wouldn't have minded staying there a lot longer, but would definitely stay here again in the future.

Die Unterkunft war wie beschrieben. Wir haben uns direkt sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Küche war sehr gut ausgestattet und uns hat es an nichts gefehlt. Das Bett war bequem, hat aber etwas gequietscht, was uns persönlich nicht gestört hat. Für lärmempfindliche Personen sollte bedacht werden, dass die Unterkunft an einer stark befahrenen Straße liegt. Es war uns demnach leider nicht möglich mit offenen Fenster zu schlafen. Bei geschlossenen Fenstern war der Lärm kaum zu hören.
Im Ergebnis würden wir dennoch die Unterkunft weiterempfehlen.

Schöne Wohnung in guter Lage. Balkon und Terrasse waren so wie beschrieben. Allerdings gab es dort morgens und abends keine Sonne, sodass wir beides kaum genutzt haben, da wir tagsüber unterwegs waren. Die Straße ist sehr laut, sodass wir nachts das Fenster schließen mussten. Leider knarzt das Bett außerdem ziemlich stark. Wir hatten gehofft, dass die vielen Kommentare hier in den Bewertungen diesbezüglich zu einer Veränderung geführt haben - das war leider nicht der Fall. Positiv anzumerken ist, dass zusätzlich eine Waschmaschine und ein Trockner in der Wohnung enthalten waren und dass nach einigen Tagen das Bett frisch bezogen wurde und die Handtücher gewechselt wurden. Wohnbereich und Küche sind mit allem ausgestattet, was man benötigt. Der Zugang zum Haus und zur Tiefgarage ist sauber und sicher. Die Garageneinfahrt ist zwar steil, aber problemlos zu händeln. Achtung: der Garagenöffner liegt in der Wohnung, sodass man bei Ankunft dort zuerst hinein muss :)

Good Airbnb from which you can explore the entire island. It has a good location, close to Funchal, the beach and various bars and restaurants. The room is well-equipped and clean, and it's great to have a balcony and a terrace.

The check in instructions need to be much clearer, especially relating to how to access parking. Also worth noting that the parking garage is a bit of a nightmare to get in and out of.

O apartamento é muito acolhedor e espaçoso, seguro para bebés/crianças e com uma cozinha muito completa, completamente funcional.

A wc é boa o suficiente.
Pontos negativos:
- MUITO barulho, as janelas não isolam bem o som e a rua é muito movimentada e perto de restaurantes/bares.
- A cama é horrível. É inútil ter uma cama bonita para ficar bem na decoração se depois range alto em cada movimento, assim como um péssimo colchão.
- Reportei a situação da cama ao anfitrião que disse que a equipa de manutenção iria verificar e remediar, por duas vezes. Nunca foram e eu desisti. 4 noites a dormir mal.
Houve falta de consideração/respeito por nós enquanto hóspedes, estando a pagar para dormir ali e não fazerem nada para melhorar a situação, nem houve um pedido de desculpas pelo incómodo.

An Island was a great location for a few days spent in Funchal. It’s beautifully decorated, has a fully equipped kitchen, it is located near the water front and within walking distance from a ton of restaurants and coffee shops, and it offers an indoor parking space. That said, it is located on a very busy street, so street noise should be expected during the day. Of course, if you plan to spend your time outside exploring the island, then this won’t be an issue.

It was a bit dusty and the shower wasn't really clean, however the bathroom itself and the kitchen was tidy. The apartment is equipped really well, everything works, but some of the things are visibly used. Overall we enjoyed our stay, would recommend.

We had no option but to leave after just 4 nights out of our original 12 night booking. As seasoned travelers, we enjoyed our last stay in Funchal 10 months prior to this trip. In this instance however, the level of traffic noise, speeding motorcycles in the early hours every night, dragged tables and chairs from restaurant below and above until midnight, uncomfortable bed with very squeaky bed frame became unacceptable . The final straw was live soprano singing to piano from the restaurant so LOUD, it drowned out our television too. We left this well appointed apartment clean and tidy to seek alternative accommodation on the island. Check-in was late as we waited for cleaners, however we cleaned the dirty balcony ourselves. Put simply, noise here was excessive above what wound be expected for a city stay, and we were unable to get any sleep. Our host was blunt, unsympathetic and blamed us, saying we should have known it would be noisy and if we wanted a peaceful break, we should have booked elsewhere. Be warned about this host. On checking their Facebook page, we discovered we are not alone in being badly treated. So pleased we escaped to a different apartment and different host - we throughly enjoyed our remaining 8 days on this beautiful island.

We had no option but to leave after just 4 nights out of our original 12-night booking. As seasoned travelers to Madeira, we enjoyed our last stay in Funchal 10 months before this trip. In this instance however, the level of traffic noise, speeding motorcycles racing at full-throttle in the early hours each night, dragged tables and chairs from the restaurant below and perhaps above sometimes until midnight, uncomfortable bed with very squeaky bed frame (especially on the left side) became unacceptable and made sleeping impossible to achieve. The final straw was live soprano singing to a grand piano from the restaurant directly below so LOUD, it drowned out our television too. We left this well-appointed, attrractive apartment clean and tidy to seek alternative accommodation on the island. Check-in was unfortunately late as we had to wait for cleaners to complete their task, however, we had to clean the dirty balcony ourselves, including the dirty wet towel left on the outside furniture from previous guests. Put simply, the noise level here was excessive above what would be expected for a city stay, and we were unable to get any sleep. Our host was blunt, unsympathetic, and even blamed us, saying we should have known it would be noisy and if we wanted a peaceful break, we should have booked elsewhere. We politely requested a percentage of refund in recognition of the considerable inconvenience and additional expense we incurred - this was not the right thing to do and communication from this host became borderline rude and offensive in tone. On checking their Facebook page, if things go wrong, we discovered we are not alone in being badly treated. Our main point of upset and bad feelings resulted from how we were treated by this host. We were so pleased to escape to a different apartment and a different host - we thoroughly enjoyed our remaining 8 days on this beautiful island.

The apartment was exceptionally clean! The view is pretty nice, a supermarket is fairly close. Located a bit away from the historic center but it’s still reachable on foot in ~40 minutes.

Perfect location, beach nearby, alot of restaurants. Easy access from and out of town. Private parkingspot in garage with unusually steep access. Communication was ideal, even got warnings about bad weather conditions. Very easy to check in and out.

We hebben hier een heerlijke vakantie gehad. De locatie van het appartement is super. Ook het feit dat je een parkeerplaats hebt is heel fijn. De buitenruimte is perfect.
Wifi werkt prima.

Het bed was erg zacht en kraakte wel heel erg. We stonden vaak op met rugpijn.
De werking van de sleutelkluis kan misschien iets beter worden uitgelegd. We werden wel snel geholpen door An Island.

Mieszkanie jest bardzo przyjemne i lubiliśmy tam wracać. Z perspektywy czasu super było wybrać miejsce nieco oddalone od centrum Funchal. Dostępność restauracji jest bardzo wygodna. Wjazd do garażu nie należy do najłatwiejszych ale nie mieliśmy z tym problemu. Miejsce parkingowe to super udogodnienie.

Appartamento molto carino e curato in zona Lido. Una zona a 10 min di macchina dalla città vecchia di Funchal. Ben collegata da qualsiasi mezzo. Proprio di fronte al lungomare.
Situato al primo piano. Molto luminoso. Completo di ogni facilities ( lavatrice, ferro da stiro, asciugacapelli, wifi, tv satellitare). Bagno molto piccolo e non particolarmente bello. Cucina nuova con disponibilità di stoviglie. Ampio terrazzo con tavoli e salottino con vista sull’interno del condominio.
Altro balconcino vista mare ed arredato, proprio adiacente alla stanza da letto.
Punto di forza è sicuramente il box auto coperto situato sotto il condominio.
Punto a sfavore il forte rumore che viene dalla strada per tutta la notte. Bar, ristoranti e supermercato a due passi.
Prezzo molto abbordabile.
Comunicazione con lo Staff eccellente.

Das Apartment hatte alles, was man für einen Aufenthalt dort braucht, um sich wohl zu fühlen. Es entsprach genau der Beschreibung und hatte sogar weitere Features, die nicht angegeben waren: Waschmaschine und Trockner sowie ein privater Balkon + Terrasse. Das Apartment liegt an einer vielbefahrenen Straße, was man ab und an trotz geschlossener Fenster deutlich hört. Die Lage ist trotzdem empfehlenswert, da alles schnell erreichbar ist und man Ausflüge schnell von dort aus starten kann. Die Kommunikation mit dem Gastgeber war super freundlich und schnell. Der Tiefgaragenstellplatz ist ein Pluspunkt. :)

We enjoyed our stay in Madeira our accommodations exceeded our expectations. The Lido view apartments are located close to many restaurants, walking distance the beach as well as a pingo dolce and bike rental shops. A drive into Funchal city center was also 9 minutes away, which is really convenient. The unit contains not one but two balconies that one can take a chiller approach to staying on the island. To our pleasant surprise even though not indicated, the unit does include a washing machine and hanging rack which we found extremely useful. Check-in was straightforward, but a little bit complicated as we arrived via car, and there is no way to park underground until we entered the unit itself, perhaps this step could have been explained a bit more clearly. During our stay, Madeira underwent a rare tropical storm in June that hasn't happened in over 70 years. The unit held up well. Our hosts were very accommodating in being flexible and extending our stay a additional day.

We really enjoyed staying here, the location wasn’t central to Funchal but easily accessible by bus for €1.95.
The location was close to the beach and on a scenic road.
The apartment was spotless and beautiful decorated.

Die Wohnung liegt sehr zentral und hat viele Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in der Nähe.
Die grosse Terrasse ist cool und der Nachbarshund ist auch sehr lieb:)
In der Küche gab es ein paar Mal Ameisen die sich an unser Essen machten...
Ansonsten war alles sehr sauber!
Das Bett ist extrem bequem und sorgt für guten Schlaf.
Wenn man die Insel mit dem Auto erkunden möchte, gibt es keinen besseren Standort meiner Meinung nach!

We were happy with the stay but it was a bit loud around us and the street right next to us was also loud at night, so you should be aware of that. Overall it was great, clean and easy to check in. The kitchen was perfectly fine and had all the supplies. The hallway of the house was a bit dark and hidden but manageable. Over all its a good stay for the money.

We had a great stay at An islands apartment. Check in was easy, good location and apartment was spacious and clean. The parking spot is in an underground garage with a steep entrance so not easy to access but on street parking is cheap and easy to find.

The accommodation wasn’t bad. It looked nice - same as on the photos. However, the bed was really bad - not the mattress but the bed construction. It was really noisy with every move. It kept waking me up. Also, since the accommodation is located right next to pretty noisy street, we got woke up few night due to some crazy motor drivers. We also didn’t have enough toilet paper as we only had 4 toilet paper rolls available for 7 nights.

We stayed for 3 weeks. The place is incredible. All the kitchen equipment is new, I loved cooking there they had everything we need to prepare perfect breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Having dishwasher (tablets were also provided weekly) to clean, made it so easy. Location is great, we had tennis court right in-front of our balcony. Besides amazing view from the balcony, the grocery store is just 2 minute walk. I fell in love with this store. Always fresh and delicious products. Lots of restaurants, ocean is right there so you might enjoy walks by the water, if you are a swimmer there is a swimming area with stairs to the water. . Place felt very new, very clean. Customer service was also nice, very responsive and accommodating. If you are light sleeper, be advised that it is on the main road, and if the balcony is open you might hear cars. Shower temperature was not always hot for both of us if you go one after another. I would definitely come back and recommend it to our friends.
