If you are up to a 15 minutes walk uphill to this property from the town centre then I can recommend this property. We would certainly use it again.
The beds were very comfortable (although the pillows were a bit lumpy). The bathrooms were spotlessly clean and there was a good supply of hot water in the mornings for two of us to shower. The TV proved a challenge to work but we finally worked out that it had Prime TV and Youtube. A brief explanation of the handsets would have been nice.
The property had everything you could need on holiday - washing machine, extra utility sink for washing off boots, drying rail, microwave, etc. It also had fans and heaters in the cupboards, which we didn't need. It was set away from the noise of the city and the traffic and we were almost unaware of other residents in the block, as they were so quiet. The barking dogs (which can, unfortunately, be found wherever you stay in Madeira, even near the best hotels) were just far enough away and did stop towards midnight.
The information from the owners both before and during the stay was excellent.
The only criticisms we had were the kitchen unit doors, which were well past their best, and the difficult key/lock on the front gate, but this did not affect our enjoyment of the property.

A very comfortable apartment 15 minutes away by walking from a busy and bustling street, 20 from Santa Maria Street in Funchal. 10 min walk from a major grocery store (Continente). The rooms are spacious and the neighborhood is calm aside from a few dogs barking now and then. We loved staying there would stay there again if we returned to Funchal.

Em relação à quantidade de Loiça providenciada no apartamento iremos fazer um levantamento da mesma e agir em conformidade.

Our stay was ideal for what we needed as we were in the town most of our stay. Not a long walk from the centre but quite an uphill climb to get back. Lots of mosquitos so we could have done with some type of netting at doors because it was so hot at night, but fans were good addition due to no AC.

Lage zum Zentrum, auch wenn der Rückweg sehr beschwerlich sein kann. Manchmal haben wir daher den Bus benutzt, der direkt vor dem Appartement hält.
Hinweis, dass man das Wasser als Trinkwasser benutzen kann.
Negative:
Alles etwas verwohnt (Schlafsofa roch etwas "benutzt"), es gab im Garten nur Kunstrasen mit Hinterlassenschaften von Katzen. Vielleicht ist das auch der Grund für die vielen Mücken. Draussen Sitzen war ohne Autan nicht sinnvoll.
Wohnung im Erdgeschoss, aber bodentiefe Fenster konnte man nicht klappen. Also offen für alle oder Fenster zu. Leider auch keine Insektengitter. Nur portable Klimaanlagen.
Schlüssel für Gartentor funktionierte manchmal nicht. War nicht schlimm, da Tiefgarage immer offen war und so jeder in das Treppenhaus konnte!!!
Fürchterlich das dauernde Hundegekläffe, das immerhin gegen Mitternacht verstummte. Okay, kann der Vermieter nichts für, stört trotzdem.
Zwei große und zwei kleine Handtücher für fünf Übernachtungen, nicht gerade üppig. Im zweiten Badezimmer kein Shampoo vorhanden.
Keine Infomappe über Funchal vorhanden.
Keine Restaurants und Supermärkte in der Nähe vorhanden.
Leider keinen der Verantwortlichen einmal persönlich gesehen. Alles per Mail und mit Schlüsselbox. Eigentlich kein Problem, wenn alles in Ordnung ist.
Gerade im Vergleich mit dem Appartement in der Vorwoche auf den Azoren, meine Wertung:

We will take into account the issues you mentioned and fix it as soon as possible.
As you can understand, we live in a semi-tropical island, which insects are part of it. Our properties are desinfected regurlaly but, if the windows and doors are open, this stays without any effect.
We offer self catering properties, this means our properties are equipped with all necessary to stay in. AC isn't advertised on the property mentioned but it has portable ones to make our guests confortable. It's given one set of towels for each guest and afterwards, you can wash and dry them in house. (We do have a extra service to have more towels with an extra fee).
You will always be welcome at our properties :)

Único ponto que eu poderia sugerir uma pequena melhora é relativamente à limpeza. Existia muito pó no chão e principalmente nos tapetes. O sofá também já necessita de uma limpeza. E poderiam deixar produtos de limpeza para a cozinha e chão, visto que cozinhamos no apartamento e no fim é necessário limpar. E talvez mais panos e papel higiénico que não foi suficiente para o número de pessoas.

Very nice place with all the amenities you would need for a longer stay. Also has private parking spot which was nice bonus. A bit of uphill climb from downtown area and while this was not a problem for me just something to keep in mind if you have mobility issues consider car rental or Bolt.

AnIsland is a great host, excellent communication and always willing to help - much appreciated. Apartment is rather basic yet very clean and extremely well located. It’s literally 10 mins walk to the centre. Going back might take longer as it’s up the hill. Terrace is a great addition as it’s always sunny so we really enjoyed our breakfasts there! We had a pleasant three week stay although would be great if internet connection was more stable and faster as it was a bit challenging to host video calls on two devices simultaneously. Kitchenware was quite bare but enough for easy meals. Overall a good stay, recommended. Obrigado!

Located approx 10min walk from Central Funchal. Clean spacious apartment with nice little garden area. Good check in experience and information on the local area if wanted. Car park space was useful and secure for only apartment block residents. Would return and recommend this accommodation.

Det eneste man skal være opmærkom på er at der ikke er indkøbsmuligheder lige i nærheden ( vi fandt dem ihvertfald ikke ). Vi gik ca 1 km for at finde et supermarked og da hjemturen går stejlt op ad bakke var det en noget besværlig tur....

- O sofa estava a roçar o mau estado;
- A mesma simpatia com o check-in, ainda que com algum atraso, poderiam ter tido no check out.
Pontos positivos:
-Garagem e elevador;
-Boa localização;
-Boas Áreas;
-Jardim;
-Cama confortável.
Resumindo , de 0/10 recomendariamos 6.

Os serviços de limpeza intermédia só se efectuam após 8 noites de estadia. No entanto, se pedido, por um valor extra, fazemos quando nos pede o cliente. Não efectuamos check-out nas nossas propriedades para facilitar a saída do cliente. :)

A short walk from centre of funchal, bus stop outside the apartment for those who don't like steep hills. Lovely private garden. Really well stocked kitchen and spotlessly clean. Garage parking available if you hire a car. We arrived at very short notice and they were really accommodating.

This is a lovely, modern ground floor apartment in a quiet residential area of Funchal. The apartment is very clean, bedrooms are spacious. There is plenty outdoor space. It is a short 10 minute walk from the town centre. There is a bus stop directly opposite the apartment for those not wanting to walk up the hill.

Ficamos, 2 casais, 7 dias no apartamento. Gostamos bastante e recomendamos face as comodidades encontradas. Filipa nos atendeu prontamente tanto no checkin como no checkout e André nos dias que antecederam. Pode-se chegar ao centro onde se encontra a região dos restaurantes e supermercados em 15 minutos a pé facilitado pela descida. Fiquei na suíte e o casal amigo no quarto, ambos com conforto.

Appartement très propre bien situé si vous restez plusieurs semaines les femmes de ménage passe une fois par semaine pour vous changer les draps les serviettes et faire le ménage à 600 m du centre-ville par contre il faut des bonnes chaussures de marche car ça grimpe énormément pour les moins courageux il y a le bus juste en face le numéro 26

No dudéis si quieren pernotar en Funchal en reservar esta estancia. Saludos

Fab apartment with all basic needs and in a great location to explore Funchal. Particularly good kitchen facilities, I was able to cook like I was at home. There is also a small play area within the apartment building complex that was great for our 2.5yr old. If you stay during cold weather you may want to ask for an extra heater as there was only 1 small plug in radiator. Probably unnecessary for most of the year though!

Mieszkanie w cichej okolicy, przestronne, nowoczesne, dobrze wyposażone (nawet w przyprawy, naczynia, garnki czy płyn do prania). Posiada parking podziemny, co jest niewątpliwym plusem. 15- 20 minut spacerem od centrum (stromą drogą, ale tam to standard). Świetny gospodarz!!! Gorąco polecamy!!!

Flat is fully equipped with everything you need, situated in 10 min by feet uphill from the center, but for lazy - a bus stop just at front door.
New building, nice small private garden. Parking at -1 floor.
Meeting was at time we needed showed and explained everything.
We got a great pleasure during our holidays there

Very nice location just a short walk up the hill from the old town (approx. 10-15 minutes) in a pure residental area. Perfect for 4 persons. Well equiped kitchen and a terrace for a relaxed time. Underground parking for the car.
Check in and out was as arranged. Very clean. WLAN.

I cannot recommend this place highly enough, wonderful.
The pictures do it justice, it is decorated nicely and to a very high standard throughout, and was immaculately clean.
Three of us stayed, but 5 or 6 would have been comfortable. Beds are large and comfortable, bath has jacuzzi jets(!), garden is a sun trap, kitchen has everything you would need, and there are plenty of communal areas to sit, chat, or play.
Car parking is tight, but convenient (would recommend hiring a car to see the island - we used WeRent)
The location is great - in a quiet residential area, a 15 minutes walk from the front (down a pretty steep hill, but then Funchal and madeira are made of hills), and 10 to supermarkets, shops, and cafes. Very close to the old town, cable cars, restaurants, etc. A great base.

Apartment was very big, small garden perfect if you are staying with the child. It was very clean, kitchen well equipped. I have nothing to complain about.

The apartment is very nice, and it is great with the small garden. Everything worked well also with the host, including communication and everything. We arrived earlier and were allowed to check-in right away, which we really appreciated. Only thing to mention is that there are no shops nearby (at least we did not find them). The nearest shop we found was app 1 km away and we had to walk a very steep road on the way back from shopping, which was quite exhausting.

Had a very nice stay at this accommodation. Comfortably appointed and having 2 bathrooms a big plus. In a quiet residential area, apart from the occasional enthusiastic barking of local dogs. About 15 minute walk into centre, a bit tiring walking back up to apartment as it is uphill. Then we discovered number 26 bus stops right by front door, with 2 other buses stopping close by. Made life a lot easier. Would wholeheartedly recommend this apartment.
