FABULOUS. We were initially staying in the North, and finally decided to spend the last 2 nights here in Funchal. We really wish we had stayed here the whole time!! The apartment was amazing, everything we needed and more. Fully equipped, the bed was super comfortable, closed parking space, you could walk to downtown in 15 min, but most importantly: THE VIEWS. What a treat to have, during the day you could see the sea, and at night the whole town lit up, from both the living room and the bedroom. We really could have not asked for better, would return any time.

We'd originally chosen this apartment for its proximity to the Estádio do Marítimo stadium rather than anything else, but we ended up really liking it. The location is perfect for anything at the Estádio do Marítimo, but even if you want to explore Funchal itself it's only a 30-45 minute walk into the centre - all downhill too! That does make it more challenging on the way back, but the Bolt app works well for summoning taxis, and fares are reasonable (less than €10 one way). There's also a bus stop right outside, though we didn't use that. The apartment itself was really well appointed, with everything we needed for our week-long stay. Even though the road outside is quite busy we didn't have any trouble sleeping, and also enjoyed using the small balconies as well. Entering and exiting the garage was a bit nerve-wrecking as it's a tight fit - we had an Astra and wished we'd hired something smaller!! Overall though we had a lovely stay and wouldn't hesitate to stay again. Thanks!

Kellemes apartman, jó kilátással. A földszinti pékség-kávézó egy főnyeremény. Reggel már nyitva van, amikor elmész, este még nyitva van, amikor visszaérsz. Egyedül az nem volt világos az elején a számunkra, hogy hogyan jutunk be a teremgarázsba a bérelt autóval. De aztán ez is megoldódott, amikor személyesen átadták a kulcsokat. Van egy aránylag rövid út a centrum felé, ha kiismered magad a környéken. Amúgy minden meg van benne, ami egy pár napos tartózkodáshoz kell. Külön radiátor a nedves ruhák szárításához, mosógép, mosogatógép, bármi, ami kellhet. Még a harmadik főnek szánt pótágy is elég kényelmes, bár nem túl hosszú. Minket az utcazaj sem zavart, mert dupla függöny van, gondolom pont a zajok csillapítása végett. Összességében egy nagyon jó ár/érték arányú szálláshely. Köszönjük, hogy itt lehettünk!

Great apartment, easy access to Funchal both walking and taking a bus. The bakery downstairs is a huge bonus. The apartment has everything you might need for a long or short stay.
The only little disappointment was that there is a new apartment building in front of the balcony which blocks half of the view - however the remaining view is still stunning!

Very good! Felt like home. Spacious, good location, not too far from the centre of Funchal, with a super beautiful view to the mountains, the city and the ocean. Big kitchen with anything you might need for cooking, also fresh bread and fruits/vegetables places in the building. Nice to have a safe parking space.

Looked exactly like on the pictures.
Location is not the best if you dont have a car and every restaurant we tried to go in the area had siesta ( we were told there is no siesta)
Some little things were missing like plastic bags, umbrella, folium paper, more tissue, proper shampoo etc.
Overall I recommend staying there.

Superb accommodation in Funchal! The apartment is fully kitted with everything that you could need, especially the kitchen. We really enjoyed the layout of the apartment, including the balcony which has a great view. In terms of location, it is just outside the heart of Funchal (but close enough to walk to), which meant that the area was quieter. As a bonus, below the apartment is a fantastic bakery! We had an amazing stay there and would definitely visit again :)

A fantastic apartment just outside the busy Funchal centre. It is equipped with a great kitchen and other facilities which made our stay wonderful. I also loved the balcony with the view! Very spacious apartment which also has a parking spot inside. The location was also great: within walking distance to many restaurants, close to the main roads and the bakery downstairs is a bonus! Check-in went smoothly and I would definitely stay here again

Apartmán byl opravdu veliký, prostorný. Měl moc pěkné vybavení, vše bylo čisté. Komunikace s hostitelem byla včasná, klíče byly předány osobně. Kuchyně byla vybavená vším potřebným. Ocenili jsme pračku a sušák. Dva balkóny nás příjemně překvapily, rádi jsme na nich trávili večery. Chytrá televize včetně internetu (youtube, Netflix..) byla součástí obývacího pokoje. Součástí bylo garážové místo.
Negative:
Apartmán je v prvním patře poměrně rušné ulice, i v noci byl slyšet hluk. Apartmán je orientovaný na východ, od časného rána bylo uvnitř horko. Instrukce k vynášení odpadů nebyly zcela jednoznačné.

Lovely apartment in an excellent location.
We had a great holiday in beautiful Madeira. The apartment in Funchal was great, very comfortable and in a great location very close to downtown but not right in the centre. The local shops under the apartment were great.
Down hill close by is the beautiful Quinta Magnolia gardens where you can also enjoy a nice meal in the evening. There are also tennis courts. Several local bus routes are close by and the No 3 bus from the centre stops right outside which the stop to go to the centre is just opposite. Round the corner you can also catch the No 8 bus.
We can recommend this apartment for a great holiday in Madeira.

Contact with the hosts was easy; Decio was super friendly at check in.

It’s an easy stroll into central Funchal. Walking back is more challenging due to the steep climb, but buses are cheap and plentiful.
The bakery/cafe below the apartment is a great place to stock up for breakfast. Good restaurants nearby including Casra da Sogra.

Alles ist wirklich sehr gut organisiert. Man bekommt ein paar Tage vorher einen Link den man ggf. noch mal ergänzen muss. Wir haben darüber auch unseren kostenpflichtigen Abholservice vom Flughafen gebucht. Der Fahrer hat auch direkt die Person zur Schlüsselübergabe angerufen und als wir vor dem Apartment angekommen waren, wurden wir herzlich in Empfang genommen.
Das Zimmer war schön und praktisch eingerichtet. Die Küche war voll ausgestattet und hatte sogar einige Sachen mehr gehabt, als wir erwartet hatten (Saftpresse zB)
Wir waren insgesamt 14 Tage in dem Apartment. Nach 7 Tagen gab es eine Reinigung und Austausch der Handtücher / Bettwäsche. Bei Anfragen über das Tool haben wir immer eine schnelle und freundliche Antwort bekommen.
Es gab sogar einen Garagenstellplatz unter dem Haus, was wir sehr angenehm fanden, nicht auf der Strasse parken zu müssen.
von den zwei Balkonen hat man eine tolle Aussicht auf den kleinen Berg und das Meer. Wir haben sehr genossen abends noch eine Weile auf dem Balkon zu sitzen und den Sonnenuntergang über Funchal zu beobachten.
Alles in allem können wir das Apartment einfach nur weiterempfehlen.

Dies ist nun Jammern auf hohem Niveau:
Allgemein hätten wir uns etwas mehr Schubfächer / Ablage Möglichkeiten gewünscht. Nachtische sind vorhanden, hätten sie ein Schubfach für ein Buch oder ähnliches wäre es toll gewesen. Gleiches gilt für das Bad, zB.: ist der Handtuchhalter etwas übersichtlich.
Wie bereits jemand zuvor in den Bewertungen geschrieben, liegt das Apartment an einer viel befahrenen Strasse. Diese ist wirklich etwas lauter tagsüber und unter der Woche. Am Wochenende und auch in der Nacht ist diese wenig bis gar nicht befahren. Dies hat uns weniger gestört, da wir meistens früh raus sind und erst am späten Nachmittag / frühen Abend wieder gekommen sind.
Ein Nachbar hat öfters abends sehr laut TV geschaut, was teilweise etwas störend war.

Location. Before moving here we lived two days in Canico in separate house and it makes huge difference in feeling the island. This apartment is in very busy and noisy area near the road and you can hear every transport passing by.
Very nice looking balconies which you can see on a photos are also unreal to use because it's no pleasure sitting near the busy road with all these gases and car exhausts.
Missing a few things in a kitchen to feel like home. There was no option to wash dishes by hand because there is only a dishwasher which makes no sense if you need to wash only a few plates or a fork.
Problematic parking place. Dispite the fact that our car was staying behind the line we get visited by neighbor which was irritated that she can't get out of her parking place because of us.

We stayed at this apartment for a week and we absolutely loved our stay! The apartment is clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals. A true highlight is the balcony where we had breakfast and dinner almost every day while taking in the view of Funchal. We felt like locals as the area is residential and not touristy. A major bonus is the bakery downstairs where we enjoyed coffee and pastries almost daily. Highly recommend becoming a regular there, the staff were friendly. We were really happy with this apartment choice and would stay here in this apartment and this neighborhood again.

We had great three weeks in this apartment. It is a perfect match if you want to work remotely from Madeira. The flat is fully equipped with all you can think of and downstairs there is a great cafe/bakery to eat breakfast or buy bread even in the evening. The only thing that could influence your stay is a building site just across the small street. It takes part of the ocean view and also the workers start around 8AM on week days so if you plan to sleep long it might not be possible… apart from that everything was great!

The apartment looks as good as the pictures suggest, it has all essential ammenities and everything works. Pleasant communication.
It is convenient to rent a car in Madeira and the apt. has a spot in the garage (note the uneven side wall while parking).
The bakery downstairs is quite busy but it does offer very delicious pastry, do try it!
There is also a small store downstairs if you need anything essential quickly and a pharmacy too.
Overall, wonderful views (lovely evenings on the balcony with a view) and a comfortable stay.
Highly recommended, would stay here again next time as well.

It's a nice, small appartment in the North-Western area of Funchal. It's equipped with everything you need for self-catering and has a good WiFi connection. The garage space, a small shop and two bakerys closeby are very convenient. It takes about 20-25 minutes to walk to the seaside and the town center of Funchal and a bit longer to walk back (all the way up). The only disadvantage I noticed is that the house is very noisy and that the neighbours are quiet loud throughout the day and until late in the evening (music, TV, conversations).

It is a lovely place, well located, great views and well furnished (not luxury). I worked remotely and the internet worked as expected. The kitchen has everything you need; maybe the refrigerator is a little bit small if you want to keep large number of things. The parking garage has enough room for the car. Communication with the host is very fast and efficient so I definitely recommend the place.

Fantastisch appartement, ruim, smaakvol ingericht en uitstekend uitgerust, heerlijk balkon met mooi uitzicht en de ochtend zon. Onder het appartement een parkeerplaats in de parkeergarage en een geweldige bakkerij met heerlijk brood, gebak en koffie. Incheck procedure heel gemakkelijk en persoonlijke ontvangst voor sleutel overdracht en uitleg over de voorzieningen. Een aanrader!

Die Wohnung entspricht den gegebenen Angaben. Sie ist modern und sehr sauber und hat unsere Erwartungen übertroffen. Wie bereits mehrfach beschrieben befindet sich vor der Unterkunft ein Cafe, dass sehr preiswert und lecker ist. Direkt vor der Haustür fahren regelmäßig verschiedene Busse (10 Minuten im Zentrum), wir waren die ganze Woche ohne Mietauto unterwegs und sind damit gut gefahren. Einziges Manko ist tatsächlich die Lautstärke der Straße, ich hatte es mir weniger schlimm vorgestellt, aber scheinbar gibt es in Portugal wohl auch keine oder eine lockerere Lautstärkebegrenzung an Fahrzeugen. Vielleicht sind wir aber auch verwöhnt, weil es bei uns Zuhause ziemlich leise ist ;) Die Straße war auszuhalten, störend aber akzeptabel für so eine schöne Wohnung und den tollen Ausblick auf die Insel. Vielen Dank für unseren schönen Urlaub <3

There were three of us (with 8-month-old baby) in the apartment for 4 weeks. The apartment is perfectly equipped, we missed nothing. The apartment is well equipped (even with vacuum cleaner, washing machine, hand blender and dishwasher) and there was even an intermediate cleaning once a week. The view from the balcony is beautiful and right next door there is a very good bakery with the best buns in the world! There are also bus stops in the area, so you can easily get down to the city. But with baby and buggy this was very complicated for us, as the doors of the buses were very narrow. A rental car was more practical in the end. :) The contact with the landlord was great! We were very well cared for from the beginning (starting from the transport from the airport to the accommodation up to the replacement of the coffee machine, which had accidentally fallen down to me). All in all a great stay. Thank you very much!

L'appartement est bien situé. On a pu se déplacer à pied (environ 1/2 heure du centre ville et de Estrada monumental). Il est parfaitement équipé et est très propre. Il a une place de parking couvert. La boulangerie au pied de l'immeuble est très pratique pour le pain et goûter des spécialités. Un grand supermarché est à 5 min en voiture. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour.

Nous avons eu un superbe accueil, le logement est très bien situé. Il correspond en tout point aux photos et à la description.
Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans la ville de Funchal.
Le parking sous-terrain est un plus, pas besoin de chercher une place pour se garer.

Appartement très bien équipé et avec une vue très sympa sur Funchal. Tout est très propre, calme, et nous avons bien profité des balcons, notamment pour le petit dej’. Il y a une supérette juste en bas de l’immeuble. La place de parking est très pratique mais demande une manœuvre un peu olé-olé.

Great flat!! It was so tidy and the accommodation is huge. You even have got a washing room/laundry, where you can air your clothes. And everything is there (also detergent). It‘s very well equipped. And it’s furnished with lovely details.
You can use the underground garage for free. But it’s a little bit tight... in front of the building there are two nice bakeries and a little supermarket. The best airbnb i‘ve ever been. When I will be back to madeira, I will be back to this flat!!

There was a little handy convenience store and a bakery outside the flat. The pastries and cakes were simple yummy. There is bus stop right outside as well if you are planning on using public transport. The team were really lovely and helpful. Thank you for your help and recommendations. The apartment was very clean and comfortable with amazing views from the balconies. Carolina was really helpful and even took us to the local supermarket when we arrived! We loved our time in Madeira and would definitely book this apartment again. Very steep hill to and from the city centre but there are cheap local buses which stop very close by which helps!

This was a lovely apartment a little outside of the city centre. I don’t recommend walking to the centre with all the hills but there are bus stops that make it easy to get around. The view of the city was gorgeous from the balcony and the bakery downstairs is delicious. We had everything we needed to enjoy an amazing week in Maderia!

We really enjoyed our time at this apartment. It was exactly as described and the kitchen was perfectly equipped. Francisco gave us a warm welcome, showed us everything and gave us some more information about where to find a supermarket. A nice to have is the underground car park where we could leave the rental car. Next to the apartment was a bakery with delicious cafe and bread rolls. Thanks for everything. We would always chose this apartment again when traveling to Madeira.

Sehr praktisch ist, dass sich unter dem Appartement eine sehr gute Bäckerei sowie ein Verlaufsladen befindet. Die Bushaltestelle befindet sich ebenfalls direkt in der Nähe. Zum Stadtzentrum hat man zu Fuss bis zu 30 Minuten.

Clean and spacious apartment. Not to far from the citycenter but mind you that you will have to walk up for a hill to get here. Like most of the island. Lots of buses pass nearby and a taxi will cost around 7euros from downtown.
Quick respons and very generous with check-in and check-out. Great value for money and the bakery downstairs have great croissants!

Die Unterkunft war wie in der Beschreibung. Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Alles war sehr sauber und ordentlich. Eine Kleinigkeit, die uns nicht ganz so gefallen hat, war die laute, stark befahrene Straße vorm Haus.

Die Wohnung und Madeira an sich hat uns sehr gefallen! Positive Punkte: sehr schön eingerichtete Wohnung, coole Extras wie ein iPad, sehr netter Empfang (sogar Nachts um 2:00 Uhr), toller Ausblick von der Terasse, Supermarkt und leckere Bäckerei direkt vor der Haustüre. Negative Punkte: sehr enger Parkplatz, Strasse morgens eher laut mit offenem Schlafzimmer-Fenster. Fazit: Auf jeden Fall weiterzuempfehlen! :)

Perfectly in line with the description. The appartment is very nice and functional with a very good bakery and small grocery close to it. We have been welcomed on time and we also had access to the parking. Thanks for all !

Very nice and clean flat. The street right below (1st floor flat) is a bit noisy but while sitting on the balcony. We did not hear anything during the night. Parking in the garage is a nice plus :)

One of the most beautifull apartment I ever stayed. Everything is charmingly decorated and the flat was well equipped with everything you need even for a long stay. A small supermarket and a cafe are located in the same building, so getting your breakfast was literally a piece of cake ;-) Andre arranged our transfers from and to the airport perfectly. He was always quick with answers when a question occurred. I highly recommend the apartment.

Ein prima Apartment für 2-3 Personen, gut eingerichtet, großzügig, toller Blick über die Bucht und in die Berge.
Fussläufig ins Zentrum von Funchal, aber auch Busse vor der Tür. Nette Nachbarschaft - insbesondere das Café unten im Haus.
Ein super Service: günstiger Transfer von und zum Flughafen.

This is a very bright and clean apartment about 2 miles away from Fuchal main town centre. A regular bus runs from outside or it is a good 25 minutes walk into town along fairly busy roads.
The apartment itself is very clean, well presented and maintained and the kitchen has everything you could need to cook a very decent meal.
The views over the bay from the flat are delightful. However, the road below does get very busy and this makes the apartment noisy.
The bakery below is amazing for cakes, bread and breakfast. There is also a handy shop below too selling all the grocer essentials you will need.
Loads to see and do and this is a good base for visiting all the Island.

I really enjoyed to stay in Barreiros I. The apartament it's not so new comparing with anothers apartments, but is well divided, very nice view in day and night time.
The location it's excellent, easy to walk to center with very nice surroundings and everything near even two hospitals.
I'm highly recommend.

Apartamento incrível. Apesar de estar localizado numa rua movimentada, permite descansar. Tem vistas espetaculares, está bem equipado (cozinha, sala, quarto e casa de banho), tendo anfitriões super acessíveis e simpáticos. Nada a apontar!

Great conditions, well equipped apartment, beautiful view and excellent location. On the ground floor, a wonderful cafe with delicious coffee, bread and pastry, nearby a bar with great food, close to the center.
I would absolutely recommend !!!
