Sun, pool and much comfort. A luxurious home for a dream vacation.

Located in Arco da Calheta, this property is between the mountains and the sea. Here, you can plan to start the day doing a “levada” walk in Rabaçal area and finish the day diving into the crystal clear waters of Jardim do Mar. If you prefer to stay at home you will have the possibility to swith the dip in the private pool with some barbecue snacks.
With two bedrooms, one with queen-size bed, the other with two single beds, this house has a maximum capacity of 4 people. It is ideal for a family holiday. Or couple. Or with friends.
It has all the necessary amenities and a superb view. It also has private parking space.

THE NEIGHBORHOOD OVERVIEW
Situated in the west, this house is in the must sun exposed area of the Island of Madeira.
About 5 minutes drive away is the center of Calheta where you will find the yellow sand beach, several restaurants and a supermarket.
Calheta has the Museum of Contemporary Art, a fantastic architectural masterpiece.
Jardim do Mar and Paúl do Mar are a 10-minute drive away. These two small villages offer beach, animation and a very own beauty.
Closer, in the vicinity, you will find small bars/restaurants and grocery stores.

GETTING AROUND
We recommend the private transfer service as the best option to get to the house. Contact us in advance to schedule a private transfer car with our local partners. It is cheaper than taking a taxi by your own in the airport!

Guests have access to all areas of the house.

We are always at your disposal to help or answer your questions. You can contact us via our mobile numbers or by email. We will do our best to meet your requests.

OTHER OBSERVATIONS
-Please be advised that a Tourist Fee will be charged to all persons staying overnight in the municipality of Calheta. Thus, all customers staying in tourist resorts and/or accommodation establishments, aged 13 or over, will be charged €2.00 per person/night, up to a maximum of 7 nights and a maximum of €14.00 per person/stay. When you arrive, you will receive a link to pay this municipal tax.
- According to Portuguese law, all guests are required to present a valid ID. (E.g. passport, identity card).
- Check-in must be scheduled in advance. In case the check-in is not scheduled within a maximum of 48 hours prior arrival, guests will be subject to the availability of our team.
- All bed linen and towels are provided. We can also provide a crib, a baby high chair and a baby bathtub if needed. First aid kit, fire extinguisher and fire blanket are available in all properties.

Clean, modern and bright apartment with a gorgeous sea view. We relaxed next to the pool, took every opportunity to have breakfast on the balcony. It is the perfect place to relax and the biggest highlight was the orange cake Rita backed for us on the last days! We would always come back and had an amazing stay!

The Villa itself was perfect, there was nothing at all we would change. It was spotless, luxurious and immaculate. Every little detail had been thought of and everything you needed was provided.

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans cette maison avec nos deux filles. Les lieux sont conformes à la description, tout est prévu pour que vous puissiez profiter directement de la maison : matériel de cuisine, produits ménagers, panier d’accueil, etc.

La localisation est un bon point de départ pour sillonner l’île !

Le gros plus : la gentillesse de Rita, son envie de tout faire pour que l’on soit bien et sa disponibilité. Elle répond très vite aux questions et est prête à aider dès qu’elle peut. Nos filles l’adorent !

My stay in these apartments was an absolutely wonderful experience! The space is spacious and cozy, with everything you need for a comfortable stay—from kitchenware to comfy beds and clean towels. The hostess is truly a gem! She is not only attentive to every detail but also genuinely cares about her guests. We were traveling with our little child, and she made sure to prepare everything necessary for him, which was such a thoughtful touch. When we arrived, we were also greeted with an amazingly delicious orange cake, which made our stay even more special. The atmosphere in the apartments felt truly homely and warm. I highly recommend it to anyone who values comfort and care!

Beutiful, clean house with a stunning view. Even better than the photos. Excellent service from Rita who welcomed us with wine and snacks. We where even provided with clean towels and a orangecake in the middle of the week. Hope to come back!

Die Wohnung ist super ausgestattet und die Gastgeberin sehr zuvorkommend. Wir haben sogar einen selbst gebackenen Kuchen und Snacks beim Ankommen erhalten. Die Terrasse ist riesig. Die Wohnung ist sehr ruhig gelegen aber trotzdem nicht zu abgelegen für Ausflüge.
Leider ist die Sicht aufs Meer größtenteils durch Bananenstauden zugewachsen. Dringend notwendig wäre noch Insektenschutz an den Türen, da das Mückenaufkommen doch recht erheblich war und man nachts oder morgens gern die angenehm laue Luft hereinlassen möchte. Die Mückenplage war unser größtes Problem vor Ort.

The Searenity apartment has a beautiful view and a large terrace with seats and lying beds to enjoy the outside area. Sunsets are amazing and the pool is clean and lovely to cool down in. The apartment had all the needed amenities we needed and was very clean. The host was so sweet and friendly, left us some fresh fruits and snacks to enjoy on arrival and even baked us a home made cake. Checkin and checkout went very smooth and easy. Overall 5 stars!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Top Lage mit atemberaubenden Blick. Die Bilder des Inserats versprechen keinesfalls zu viel.
Die Ausstattung ist perfekt und darüber hinaus sind viele Kleinigkeiten wie z.B. Spülmaschinentabs, Grillkohle (selbst Batterien) auf Vorrat vorhanden. Die Sauberkeit war schlicht perfekt, besser geht es nicht.
Die Gastgeberin ist sehr freundlich und hilft umgehend.

Alles was perfect, zeer proper, modern nieuw huis, grote tuin, airco in elke kamer, alles is er voorzien voor een zorgeloze vakantie. Zwembad niet verwarmd maar zeker niet nodig in de zomer, mits toeslag konden we deze wel verwarmd krijgen. We bleven er 10 dagen en in het midden vroegen we verse handdoeken e.d. en kregen we onmiddellijk van Rita. Rita woont in het huis achter het vakantiehuis dus als er iets was, was ze nooit ver weg. Superhost, en lekkere orange cake, dankje Rita voor het warme welkom.

Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt. Die Wohnung ist sehr sauber, super ausgestattet, gut aufgeteilt und verfügt über einen fantastischen Ausblick. Ein Auto ist zwingend erforderlich, ein Supermarkt befindet sich in der Nähe und Restaurants sind mit dem Auto gut erreichbar. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wir haben einen traumhaften Urlaub in diesem einmalig schönen Haus genossen, alles blitzsauber und mit allem ausgestattet was man im Urlaub benötigt. Schöne Unterkunft. Modernes Design. Tolle Lage. Manchen Küchenutensilien wie Gläser, Besteck sind mittlerweile zu wenig. Pool schön. Obwohl die neue Nachbarbebauung zu nahe gekommen ist, hatten wir einen insgesamt guten Aufenthalt und können diese Wohnung auf jeden Fall empfehlen. Es ist ein Sichtschutz
geplant und würde die Gesamtlage einzigartig machen.

Wir waren 2 Wochen in dem Haus. Rita hat uns herzlich empfangen. Sehr sauber, perfekte Küchenausstattung. Das Haus war tip top! Nach einer Woche gab es eine Reinigung und sogar einen selbstgebackenen Kuchen.
Leider entsprechen die Außenbilder des Hauses nicht mehr der Realität. Der Außenbereich ist zwar schön und gepflegt, aber angrenzend wurde ein großes Ferienhaus gebaut, bei dem immer noch Bauarbeiten anfallen. Dies ist zwischenzeitlich auf Googlemaps zu sehen. Zu unserem Buchungszeitpunkt leider nicht. Das hat den Urlaub insbesondere bzgl. Privatsphäre und teilweise im Bezug auf Umgebungsgeräusche stark gestört. Wäre das Inserat mit den Außenbildern korrekt gewesen, hätten wir das Haus nicht gebucht. Denn wir waren auf der Suche nach Ruhe und möglichst wenig Nachbarn.

Wir waren mit zwei Paaren für eine Woche in Ritas Apartement. Die Aufteilung ist super - jeder hat seinen eigenen Schlafbereich mit Bad und man kann sich in der Mitte im Wohnzimmer mit Küche treffen. Das Apartment hat alles was man braucht und die Aussicht ist traumhaft. Rita war supernett und sehr hilfreich. Wir würden das Apartment auf jeden Fall noch einmal buchen

Sehr schönes und wirklich sehr sauberes Haus, tolle Aussicht von der Terrasse auf das Meer und die Sonnenuntergänge. Küche sehr gut ausgestattet. Auch sonst war alles da, was man braucht (zusätzliche Decken, ausreichend Handtücher, auch für draußen, ausreichend Spülmaschinentabs, Geschirrtücher, Handseife, Kapseln für die Kaffeemaschine, Eiswürfel im Gefrierfach etc.), uns hat nichts gefehlt! Außerdem stand bei unserer Ankunft ein Korb mit allerlei Leckereien und einer Flasche Wein zur Begrüßung auf dem Tisch. Rita ist eine sehr sympathische und nette Gastgeberin, Kommunikation sehr gut und schnell. Auch uns hat sie (wie schon in vorhergehenden Bewertungen zu lesen ist) einmal mit einem unglaublich leckeren Orangenkuchen überrascht. Nochmals vielen Dank dafür, Rita! Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und können das Haus zu 100 % weiterempfehlen.

Het huis is prachtig gelegen op een heuvel met uitzicht op zee. Het is heel proper en echt alles is aanwezig in het huis. De host, Rita, is super. Bij aankomst had ze een fruitschaal en een mand met van alle lekkers voorzien. Tijdens ons verblijf stond ze plots aan de deur met een zelfgebakken, heel lekkere cake. Het was er ook heel rustig. We hebben een top vakantie gehad op het mooie eiland Madeira!

Super schöne und saubere Unterkunft mit einem atemberaubenden Ausblick aufs Meer. Die Unterkunft ist mit allem was man benötigt ausgestattet und bietet viel Platz. Perfekter Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge auf der Insel. In der Nähe findet man einen Supermarkt, Apotheke, eine leckere Pizzeria, und noch vieles mehr. Ganz besonderes Dankeschön an die Gastgeberin Rita! Bei unserer Ankunft fanden wir einen Korb mit Wein, Brot, Käse, Schokolade und Obst vor. Auch bei Fragen konnten wir uns jederzeit an Rita wenden. Nicht zu vergessen, der leckere Orangenkuchen den sie für uns gebacken hat! Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen auf jeden Fall wieder :)

Der Ausblick von unserem Haus war einfach Wahnsinn. Das Haus war auch richtig schön und spitzenmäßig ausgestattet. Die Fahrt zum Haus ist etwas abenteuerlich da es sehr bergig ist, jedoch gut machbar. Ein Mietwagen ist hier Goldwert. Rita ist eine sehr liebe Vermieterin die mit Rat und Tat zur Seite steht. Wir fühlten uns rundum wohl in ihrem Haus und sollten wir nochmal nach Madeira reisen kommen wir gern wieder.
Der Pool war natürlich auch noch ein Highlight.

Directly upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the host Rita. The house was just wonderful, very clean and well-equipped with everything one could possibly need. We immediately felt at home and spent 10 marvelous days there as a family of four. We already miss the breathtaking 180 degree Ocean view. Our kids (6 and 8 yrs. old) especially enjoyed the great pool.

Wir wurden sogar auf der Suche nach dem Objekt von der Schwägerin zum Haus begleitet. Die Besitzerin wohnt gleicht nebenan, was bei Fragen oder Wünschen sehr hilfreich war. Jede Raklamation (kaputter Sonnenschirm, Toaster) wurde sofort zur besten Zufriedenheit erledigt. Angenehm auch die Zwischenreinigung der Wohnung.

We had a tremendously enjoyable stay and relaxed with a beautiful view of the ocean. The hostess was super friendly and surprised us with a basket of traditional Madeira products and a basket of fruit upon our arrival. And later on she surprised us with an incredibly delicious orange sponge cake. Our stay will remain unforgettable.

We give this a 9.....but clicked on the wrong number and then couldnt change it!

Spacious property with an amazing view. The house had everything we needed....even a coffee machine! The host is lovely too.9

This really is a great place to stay.
Building work next door meant we felt unable to use the pool or terrace during the day as there was no privacy. However, we feel that the good points of Searenity 1 far outweigh this one negative.

One other point to mention is you really do need a car if you are staying here. Not a negative but important.

Einfach fabelhaft, nichts anzumerken. Neue Unterkunft, perfekt ausgestattet, makellos sauber, gute Lage und tolle Aussicht. Die Gastgeberin war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam, die Kommunikation war sehr unkompliziert.
Die Klimaanlage hat im Heizungsmodus nicht funktioniert, das war aber für uns kein Problem, da es nachts nicht besonders kalt war.

Nous avons passé de merveilleuses vacances à Madère.

The property was amazing, and really clean and easy to stay in. The unexpected building work causing noise, dust and lack of privacy ruined the stay. The lack of speedy response from An Island Apart also added to a stressful stay. It’s a shame because once the building work is completed the place will be back to perfect again. Had we been told of the building work in advance we would have stayed elsewhere.

The villa was immaculately clean and so well equipped. We have stayed in places that had minimal cutlery and crockery and poor cooking utensils. Not here - Searenity villa was the best place I have stayed. There was a welcome basket with wine, bread, nibbles and chocolates. Ice in the freezer and even extras like dishwasher and clothes washing tablets. Plenty of coat hangers in the fitted wardrobes and beach towels and throws supplied too. Very easy to find and Rita, who is easily contactable via WhatsApp, was very helpful - also her orange cake was to die for.

Kein Wunsch bleibt offen, die Unterkunft hat wirklich ALLES was man sich wünschen kann, jegliches Zubehör ist vorhanden, es gibt einen Präsentkorb zum Start, die Gastgeberin vor Ort ist unglaublich nett und hilfsbereit.
Die Wohnung, der Pool, der eigene Parkplatz - alles wundervoll und auch als Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen ist der Standort prima.

Perfectly equipped with all you need to have relaxing a vacation. Fits for a family or 4 adults.

We have been to dozens of nice villas through Airbnb over the years and this one is by far the best so far.

Beautifully furnished, nice sized rooms, all on one level and a huge balcony with perfect un-interrupted sea views.

Rita is the perfect host.

A car is recommended as it is up on a hill in a small village which doesn’t have much to offer, however it does have a well stocked minimart with bakery and coffee shop.
We were there in winter so the village may offer more in the summer.

We would definitely return: 10/10 is our score for Rita’s villa

Location. Cleanliness, well equipped. Great views.
Building works next door disrupting entire vacation for 9 hours every day. Noise, shouting, dust, dirt, shaking ground.
The only reason its not at 1 star and never again is because one day the relentless noise and dust from the building works next door will stop. For my trip in October and the foreseeable future it's a misery staying here.

A balanced review, I admit the location is great in a lovely friendly village, close to shops with stunning views. The property was clean, well equipped for self catering. It all started so well....

Minutes after the host left us she TEXT to say that there are building works and we may hear noise.

True to this message, every weekday between 0730 and 1730 you will hear relentless building works taking place within 5 metres of the pool, right next to your "serene" villa.
It should be paradise and peace but let me tell you, it is absolutely not while the works continue and they are not ending anytime soon.

We were NEVER informed about the building works so please let me inform you now.

The impact this had on our trip was significant, forcing us to leave the property every day to get away from the noise and dust that rained in and woken every day by it too.

Relentless banging, drilling and clattering noise.
Shaking of the ground due to the large building equipment.
Building dust flying over the wall and on to us and the pool.
Bellowing builders shouting to each other.
Forced out of the holiday villa we planned to remain in for the trip to relax, thus giving a vast increase in budget due for expenses to fill our time outside of the villa for 9 and half hours.

If you plan to be out and about all day in madeira then you will avoid this disruption and it's a great villa to base in. If you want peace during the day, well. You have been well informed now.

Das Haus entspricht komplett der Beschreibung und den Bildern. Es fehlt an nichts und alles war sehr sauber. Die Terrasse mit dem Blick auf den Atlantik ist fantastisch, zumal man von Vormittag bis zum Sonnenuntergang komplett Sonne hat. Fussläufig gibt es einen kleinen Supermarkt und eine Pizzeria, für alles weitere kann man runter nach Calheta fahren. Ein Auto mit ausreichender Leistung ist erforderlich, die Umgebung ist wie die ganze Insel sehr steil. Rita, die die Gäste betreut, ist ein Engel. Immer besorgt, immer ansprechbar und immer bemüht, den Aufenthalt noch schöner zu machen. Wir waren begeistert.

Herrliche Lage mit wunderbarer Sicht auf den Atlantik. Wir genossen die ruhige Lage.
Die Vermieterin ist äusserst zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Sogar ein Willkommenskorb mit lokalen Spezialitäten stand bei der Ankunft bereit. Wir wurden sogar mit einem selbstgebastelten „Madeiracake“ verwöhnt.
Die Kommunikation verlief unkompliziert auch via WhatsApp.
Ein Mietwagen ist Pflicht. Damit ist aber die die ganze Insel ideal zu erkunden.
In der Nähe zur Unterkunft befindet sich ein kleiner, gut sortierter Supermarkt und eine Pizzeria.

Madère est une île magnifique très nature qui permet de nombreuses balades. Le logement était impeccable avec une vue magnifique sur l’océan. Un rêve ! L’accueil de Rita était super chaleureux avec beaucoup de petites attentions. On reviendra,s’était exceptionnel.

Modern house in a quite location. Good base for visiting the western part of the island. Phenomenal ocean views from a south facing terrace. All rooms very clean and perfectly equipped kitchen, clearly above expectations. Many thanks to our host Rita for the great hospitality. We couldn’t ask for more. Highly recommended.

We had a great time at the Searenity Vacations Home which met and exceeded our expectations from the pictures we had seen before. Everything was super clean, we had a great welcome basket with fresh fruit and local produce, our lovely host Rita was always available with recommendations and checked in regularly if everything was OK. Very beautiful location with a fantastic sea view. The house is clean. Rita is very helpfull, a real sweetheart. Also perfect for people in a wheelchair. Good to know, you should rent a car so you could see more of the island.

Absolutely perfect! We loved the house. It is located up the hill of the city center of Calheta. (About 8 minutes drive). We would rank the streets as advanced driving level on european standards, because of the strong slope. There is a supermarket in the city center, but also one about 3 minutes further up the hill. The interior of the house is chosen thoughtfully, the decoration is very modern. The outdoor space is amazing as well. We‘ve had a stunning view over the coast of Madeira and especially at night time with the lights on, the ambience is beautiful. We also enjoyed watching the sunsets from the terrace. We would recommend to heat up the pool for some days, since it is very windy and it hardly ever feels like it’s 25 degrees outside. The house includes pretty much everything you can think about. No need to buy essentials during the stay! We felt very much like home. Special thanks to the owner. We have had the best experience! Rita is the sweetest person, always making sure you are happy. 100% worth 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We had an extraordinary warm welcome and found some madeiraian specialities in the kitchen, we were very surprised by. The house offers everything you can imagine: a perfectly equipped kitchen, a nice barbecue area, spacious and prettily furnished rooms and the great outside area of course. The view from the inside as well as from outside is stunning.

Apart from the six vacation homes, the neighborhood appeared as not touristic at all. Moreover, guests will definitely need a rental car to get at least to a good supermarket and to reach restaurants and all interesting sights.

Wir wurden herzlich begrüßt, der Check in unproblematisch. Das Haus sehr gepflegt und sehr sauber. Gut ausgestattet mit allem was man braucht. Große Terasse, schöner Pool, toller Blick. Alle Wünsche wurden umgehend erfüllt. Wir hatten einen tollen Urlaub.

Zum zweiten Mal waren wir in diesem tollen Haus. Es sind wohl diese klaren Linien im Haus und der freie Blick " bis nach Amerika", der einen so zur Ruhe kommen lässt Die Ausstattung des Hauses ist beeindruckend und top gepflegt. Alles sieht aus wie nagelneu...

Séjour top ! Pourquoi ? Et bien pour plusieurs points importants. Adresse facile à trouver. Nous sommes arrivés tardivement après un retard d’une heure vers minuit à cause de l’avion, rita a été joignable de suite et nous a attendons jusqu’à notre arrivée. La maison est extraordinaire, exactement comme sur les photos. Un panier de bienvenue avec fruits et spécialités locales nous attendaient. La Propreté impeccable, vue magique, chaque chambre a sa propre salle de bains, tous les équipements du four au micro ondes en passant par le lave linge sont neuf et de qualité. On se sent comme à la maison. Jusqu’à pousser le détail des sac poubelles odeurs lavande, lessive à disposition, pastilles de lave vaisselle. Rien ne manque ! La literie est excellente, les oreillers de grande qualité, les draps propres et de qualité. Rita nous a même déposer un gâteau pendant notre séjour. Nous louons systématiquement et uniquement par airbnb pour nos divers déplacements durant l'année et nos congés, rita est une hôte aux petits soins très attentionnée, discrète mais disponible. Si nous devions dire un mot sur notre location, Nous la plaçons en numéro 1 pour toutes les raisons évoquées. Merci à rita pour sa sincère bienveillance et bravo pour la qualité de sa location ! Rita ist der beste Gastgeber- lieb, verständnisvoll, entspannt, aufmerksam und hilfsbereit! Man fühlt sich sehr gut aufgehoben bei ihr und mit ihrer besonderer Gastfreundschaft gibt sie einem das Gefühl, dass man zu Hause ist!
Die Wohnung ist besser als beschrieben- bequem, sauber, schön eingerichtet und sie hat alles! Die Aussicht ist unglaublich und es ist richtig ruhig dort! Die Lage ist perfekt, besonders wenn man von dort aus die ganze Insel erkunden möchte.

Beautiful appartment, we had such a lovrly, restful time.

The appartment is equipped with everything you need, there is also a restaurant and supermarket in walking distance.

So many lovely extra touches like little food extras and honey cakes.

Wir haben uns die neun Tage sehr wohl gefühlt und bedauern nur, dass wir die restliche Zeit nicht auch dort geblieben sind. Es war alles da und es gab tolle Geschenke obendrein. Rita unsere Gastgeberin wohnt ein Grundstück oberhalb und ist immer erreichbar und sofort zur Stelle, wenn es Wünsche gibt. Der Ausblick auf das Meer von dort oben (über einen Hang mit Gemüse) ist atemberaubend und jeden Tag anders. Es gibt zwei Häuser für je 4 Personen nebeneinander, aber gut getrennt. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder.

The stay was amazing! The apartment was great - beautiful view, clean, everything was there. But what made our stay really perfect was the hospitality of Rita. At our welcome she had some wine, fruits etc for us and after a few days she even had freshly baked cake for us. Thank you for this amazing time!

Das Haus ist genau wie beschrieben und zu 100% perfekt. Rita ist eine unglaublich aufmerksame und fürsorgliche Gastgeberin. Wir wunden sehr herzlich empfangen und währen unseres Aufenthaltes stand sie bei Fragen stets hilfreich zur Verfügung. Das Haus liegt sehr ruhig fernab vom Trubel , aber ein kleiner Supermarkt und eine nette Pizzeria sind fußläufig zu erreichen. Sehr gerne kommen wir wieder in dieses tolle Haus und können es nur empfehlen. 5 Sterne ***** von uns !!

Andres place is tully amazing, you can expect even more than you can see on the pictures, the house is very nicely decorated, totaly new and very clean. The location overall is great, near the store and restaurant, but on the other hand offering full privacy. The view is someting which we will remeber for our whole life since the glass fence gives you full visibility on the fantastic ocean. Also Paulo and his mother especialy are always awailable and supportive for whatever is needed.

The Searenity home is essentially brand new construction with all of the amenities you would expect in a new modern American home. The small town it is situated in is quiet and at night time the only sound to be heard are the crickets. Also the view of the ocean is amazing to be able to wake up to every morning! Do not hesitate to book a stay here as the pictures do not even do it justice!

Unterkunft ist wie beschrieben und auf den Bildern erkennbar, wenn nicht sogar noch besser. Wir wurden herzlich empfangen. Frisches Obst, kleine Leckereien und eine Flasche Wein standen auch als kleine Begrüßung bereit. Alles sehr sauber und im besten Zustand. Einen grandiosen Blick aufs Meer gibt es von jedem Zimmer. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen wieder.
