A fantastic holiday home for a unique experience between wine and nature.

Casa do Lanço is part of a vineyard property of about 25,000m2 and is located in a transition zone between the Laurissilva forest and the agricultural lands of São Vicente. On the terraces of the vineyard we can see the Tinta Negra Mole and Verdelho grape varieties, these grape varieties that produce the famous Madeira Wine.

The property is in a group of houses with several hundred-year-old trees, with a large oak tree dating back over 250 years and several endemic Laurissilva species such as tis, vinháticos, barbusanos and laurels.

The house has a decoration with several details, in a fusion between the classic and the contemporary, which accompanies the whole tradition of a family home. The house features a bedroom with two singles in traditional style with an outside access door so you can wake up with a fantastic view of the backyard and gardens of the house.

Inside the property you can enjoy a walk along the stream, the gardens or the backyard outside, which allows you to have breakfast (not included), made every morning by the home keeper.

During your stay you can participate in the process of viticulture or purchase the wines available in the house.

The mother house has belonged to the same family since its inception and maintains its original architecture although it has been renovated and modernization works.

THE NEIGHBORHOOD OVERVIEW
The house is situated in the northern part of the island, more precisely in the Rosário, parish of the county of São Vicente. Because it is in a more secluded area, you will not find any kind of shops in the vicinity of the property. A ten minute drive from the village of São Vicente, there you will find local shops, restaurants, supermarket and pharmacy.

In the vicinity of the house you have access to several trails and levadas, where you can enjoy walking and exploring on foot our fantastic island.

If you want to find other places or activities, the city of Funchal is 45 minutes away by car.

GETTING AROUND
We recommend the private transfer service as the best option to get to the house. Contact us in advance to schedule a private transfer car with our local partners. It is cheaper than taking a taxi by your own in the airport!

GUEST ACCESS
Guests have access to all areas of the flat.

OTHER OBSERVATIONS

● According to Portuguese law, all guests are required to present a valid ID. (E.g. passport, identity card).

● Check-in must be scheduled in advance. In case the check-in is not scheduled within a maximum of 48 hours prior arrival, guests will be subject to the availability of our team.

● All bed linen and towels are provided. We can also provide a crib, a baby high chair and a baby bathtub if needed. First aid kit, fire extinguisher and fire blanket are available in all properties.

● Cleaning services during the stay, as well as the replacement of bed linen, towels, and consumables, are carried out on a weekly basis. If you wish extra cleaning service this can be arrange at an extra, affordable charge. The weekly cleaning and the replacement of bed linen, towels, and consumables will not be carried out for stays of less than seven nights.

Great 'hacienda' in the hills!

This complete house was in a fabulous location with stunning views, very private, great balcony and modernised to a high standard. Very clean and everything in good order. As it was sometimes a little cool in the evening, we especially enjoyed the fabulous open fire!
