Overall a great place to stay at with a group of friends or family
Positive:
Great location surrounded by locals, not many tourists in the neighborhood.
Big and comfortable beds and a great view of bananas plantations from the terrace.
The house has everything you might need, fully equipped kitchen and also a working laundry machine downstairs with WiFi working with no problems whatsoever.
Negative:
The driveway to the house can be a real challenge, very narrow and very steep. The first time can be scary, but everyday it becomes easier to drive there.
The check-in was a bit chaotic, we were told it’s going to be a self check-in, but after a while of searching for a locker with the keys it turned out the owner of the house had to come down and give us the keys. He was really nice and helpful though :)

Świetna lokalizacja, blisko sklep, świetnie miejsce wypadowe do zwiedzania. Przemiły personel, Pan który dawał nam klucze chętny do rozmowy (poopowiadał nam kilka ciekawostek), miejsce dokładnie takie jak na zdjęciu. Czyste i duże pokoje, dwie łazienki, bardzo dobrze wyposażona kuchnia. Okolica cicha, duży parking na terenie obiektu. Świetne miejsce zarówno do odpoczynku jak i główną baza wypadowa.

Podjazd, w pierwszy dzień byliśmy załamani uliczką która prowadziła do naszego domku 😂 bardzo stroma i wąska, pierwszy zjazd był ciekawy. Kolejne dni już bez większych problemów, kwestia przyzwyczajenia się

Communication was poor. Phone not answered, messages not responded to. One of the beds had hairs and crinkled sheets, but we couldn't get anyone to provide clean sheets. There are other issues to bear in mind:
1. The access road is very narrow and nerve racking in a rental car.
2. The kitchen towels were dirty.
3. The kitchen had nothing....no salt, no tea or coffee, no sugar, absolutely nothing (we left our supplies behind for the next person).
4. Only after we'd left did we get an email asking if everything was ok, when it was too late. Was this attempt to avoid a negative review? Will I get a negative review because I answered his questions?

La casa es bastante grande, puedes guardar el coche dentro y tiene buenas vistas a un valle. El dueño es una persona muy amable que a parte de enseñarnos la casa nos dio recomendaciones de turismo y sitios para comer, la única cosa mala que puedo decir es que la calle de acceso es muy estrecha y inclinada, pero cabe un coche sin problemas.

Schöne Haus mit Charme und viel Platz

Altes Haus mit sehr viel Charme. Es gibt 2 Etagen mit 2 Schlafzimmern und 2 Bädern. Das hat für uns super gepasst - da es ein "3Generationen Urlaub" war, und so hatte jeder sein eigenes Zimmer. Zum Frühstück oder Abendessen kann man sich super auf der schönen Terasse zusammen setzen. Der Ausblick auf die Banenplantagen ist sehr nett. Von hier aus ist man schnell im Ort und auch gleich auf de rAutobahn. Der Supermarkt ist sowohl mit dem Auto, als auch zu Fuß schnell erreicht.
Die Straße zum Haus ist sehr gewöhnungsbedürftig - schmal und steil, mit etwas Übung aber machbar - am 3 Tag fand ich es nicht mehr schlimm, am ersten hätte ich am liebsten wieder umgedreht ;)

Point - : le chien des voisins qui jappe constamment. Il n’est pas possible de profiter de la terrasse ni de dormir le matin. Les voisins laissent le chien dehors du matin au soir et l’animal jappe dès qu’il nous voit/entend. Pour l’arrivée, il est mieux d’avoir une ligne téléphonique puisqu’il ne regarde pas les messages rbnb. Nous avons dû aller dans un restaurant pour emprunter un téléphone à un inconnu.

Positive:
On first arrival, you need to get acquainted to the steep streets in Madeira. The road to the house in particular. Funny to notice how quickly you get used to things like this. The house has two terrases and a big privat parking place, two floors, three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a kitchen. Great place to stay with you family, also with small kids.
Negative:
Since the property didn't have a number attached, it was a bit hard to find. One of the double beds was pretty soft, the rest fine.

Für 17 Tage Aufenthalt könnte mehr Wäsche (Bett und Handtücher) zu Verfügung gestellt werden. Das Küchengeschirr war sogar für 4 Personen teilweise etwas sehr knapp bemessen - besonders an Gläser hat es gehapert.

W domu jest kompletne wyposażenie, jest bardzo czysto. 2-piętrowy ponad stu letni dom położony w cichej okolicy, przy najstarszej i najwęższej ulicy w Camara de Lobos, odrestaurowany. Taras z widokiem na zielone pola bananowe i niebieski ocean, dostępny od razu z kuchni na miłe śniadanie czy wspaniałą kolację przyrządzoną z miejscowych produktów. Istotne, że jest miejsce na parking na podwórzu. Blisko do autostrady również, co oznacza że można dojechać szybko w każdą część wyspy. Dostępne dwie łazienki na każdym piętrze, pralka i suszenie, prasowanie. Bardzo wygodne łóżka. Bardzo miły gospodarz. Polecam pobyt tu!

Para quem, como é o nosso caso, gosta de se sentir calorosamente acolhido como se estivesse em casa da avó, então a casa é perfeita. Muito bem cuidada, bastante confortável, extremamente limpa e completamente equipada com tudo o que é necessário para uma estadia perfeita. O espaço exterior é fabuloso, tem vista de mar e aproveitámo-lo sempre para tomar o pequeno almoço.
O Sr. Mendes e a esposa foram muito simpáticos aquando do check in e sentimo-nos sempre bastante à vontade.
Negative:
O único senão é mesmo a localização Embora bem situada pela proximidade ao centro de Câmara de Lobos e fácil acesso a todos os pontos da Ilha, o acesso à própria casa não é de todo fácil e cremos que é mesmo este o ponto a ter em atenção porque para alugar carro, o ideal é ser um carro pequeno e com uns bons travões, porque a estrada é má, estreita, irregular, extremamente inclinada e ainda por cima é uma estrada de duplo sentido, na qual cabe um carro na passagem e mal, além do que, em certos pontos mais "largos" ainda há por vezes, carros estacionados. Pese embora os habitantes locais façam o percurso com a maior desenvoltura, há que compreender que, para quem não está acostumado a este tipo de estradas e para mais quando não está a conduzir o seu próprio carro, o caso muda de figura. Para se ter uma ideia, há inclusivé um ponto que tem um poste que alguém embrulhou com esponja para minimizar os danos à passagem. Fora isto, a casa tem dentro de portões, espaço mais do que suficiente para deixar o carro estacionado. Deixar o carro à parte de cima é difícil, porque para além de não haver quase nunca onde o fazer, é um esticão a pé até às casa o que, se tiverem crianças pequenas como era o nosso caso, não é fácil.

Dom świetny - wszystkie udogodnienia - w pełni wyposażona kuchnia,pralka, żelazko itd., dom doskonały dla pięcioosobowej rodziny, bardzo przyjemne patio, widok na ocean i plantacje bananów...Przemiły gospodarz. Świetna lokalizacja,jeśli chce się aktywnie zwiedzać wyspę, w Camara de Lobos przeważnie jest słonecznie nawet jeśli gdzieś indziej pada. Dom w cichej uliczce, ale miasteczka ( bary,restauracje, mercado) schodzi się tylko 15 min. Do Pingo Doce autem 5 min. Miasteczko w weekendy ożywa, przynajmniej w lutym. Uliczka,która prowadzi do domu za pierwszym razem mrozi krew w żyłach - ale naprawdę TYLKO za pierwszym razem,nie można się zrażać. Generalnie przed wyjazdem na Maderę dobrze potrenować ruszanie z ręcznego;))

Honestly, the house had everything we needed and the host was extremely nice. She gave us recommendations on what to visit, and where to eat. The location was on a hill overviewing banana trees and it was on a quiet road. It was quite central in the sense you have amazing acesses to every part of the island, and plenty of amazing restaurants and super-markets close by (max 10min by car).
Negative:
The only thing that comes to my mind is the road leading to the house. It is a sloping narrow street, I would advice renting a smaller-medium sized car. The first time might be "scary", but after that you get used to it. A plus side is that you can only go down the road, one way only. So really, it is not difficult if you are careful.

Ulica dojazdowa jest stroma i wyjątkowo wąska (jednokierunkowa w dół), w szerszych autach lepiej złożyć lusterka. Dom piętrowy ma bardzo strome schody. Brak typowego salonu, dwa "saloniki telewizyjne" są urządzone w holach i mają po jednej niewygodnej kanapie. Naszym zdaniem to nie jest wygodny dom dla sześciu osób, za mało miejsca na powierzchniach wspólnych - kuchnia i "saloniki". Światło na tarasie gaśnie automatycznie po ośmiu minutach.

Madeira ist immer eine Reise wert; wir kommen wieder.
Positive:
Grundsätzlich war das Haus für einen Ferienaufenthalt sehr gut ausgestattet; die Nähe zu Restaurants und den Meerblick haben wir genossen. Gute Parkmöglichkeit im abgeschlossenen Innenhof. Vor allem ist der sehr freundliche Gastgeber und seine Gattin zu erwähnen, die uns herzlich empfangen und sogar eine Flasche Madeirawein hingestellt haben! Der Gastgeber hat uns auf dem Parkplatz des in der Nähe liegenden Supermarktes abgeholt und ist dann das Stück bis zum Ferienhaus vorgefahren. Das war auch gut so, denn in diese superenge Gasse wären wir freiwillig niemals hineingefahren - schon mal gar nicht in der Dunkelheit (wir kamen sehr spät an).
Negative:
Die Zufahrt zum Ferienhaus ist grenzwertig: Sie ist sehr schmal (man sollte nur kleine Mietwagen wählen) und vor allem sehr steil! Das ist nicht gut für ungeübte/unsichere Fahrer. Die Küche im Erdgeschoss ist nur bei schönem Wetter nutzbar, da kein Fenster, sondern nur eine komplett zu öffnende Tür vorhanden ist. Dies ist bei Regen/Wind unangenehm, da sich durch die feuchte Luft in der Küche eine gewisse "Muffigkeit" verbreitet. Das ist aber normal, da die Außenwände des ansonsten sehr schönen und gepflegten Hauses aus unverputzten Natursteinen sind. FAZIT: An Regentagen geht man besser ins Restaurant!

The road to access is tricky and it's quite close to the neighbors making it a bit lively at times, but it's the perfect location to enjoy Madeira.

An authentic experience in a valley above in Camara de Lobos! Getting there is a challenge if you’re driving, but going down the narrow road a few times will improve one’s driving skills! Taxis are just a phone call away. The bay is close by and offers a more peaceful tourist ambience compared to Funchal. Great view from the house, too. Would stay there again!

Dafür wird man mit einem tollen Blick ins Tal und auf Bananenfelder belohnt. Genügend Wohn-/ Schlafraum auf zwei Etagen verteilt, eine tolle Terrasse und ein Aussengrill (Kamin) - es hat uns prima gefallen!

Excelente local para explorar a Madeira!
A casa tem as condições necessárias para uma semana de férias agradável.
Não tivemos nenhuma dificuldade em aceder à casa, no entanto, para os menos experientes, é desaconselhável usar uma viatura grande, ou nos piores casos, uma viatura média. Nós fomos de Twingo e de 108. Mas também é verdade que, num dos dias, vimos um SUV da classe superior fazer a estrada como se nada fosse!
Os quartos e casas de banho têm bom espaço, e têm tudo o que é necessário. Também estavam muito bem limpos.
A cozinha tem um pormenor muito engraçado, que é um forno antigo (só decorativo). Faltava alguma louça e panelas, mas nós fazemos sempre as refeições em casa... Tinha espaço suficiente para nós 6 estar à mesa nas refeições. A cozinha pecou pela limpeza quando chegámos. Tivemos de lavar a louça toda (estava suja), e o interior dos armários pois encontrámos fezes de ratos. Isto provavelmente aconteceu porque, devido à pandemia do covid, a casa deve ter estado fechada muito tempo...
A casa tem um grande terraço, ideal para fazer refeições ao ar livre, ou simplesmente desfrutar do som da queda de água que dá para ver do local!
O Sr. Agostinho e esposa foram extremamente calorosos na receção, e foram tentando ajudar-nos na nossa estadia. A sua ajuda foi preciosa e incansável naquele primeiro dia.

Great refurbished traditional house in a rural spot out of (but not far from) the tourist zone. Neighbouring houses are locals who farm bananas etc. on the steep slopes, so you will hear dogs, roosters in the mornings etc.. Access road is one-way downhill and requires some driving skills (not good for anxious or unexperienced drivers and/or very wide vehicles. Nice and practical 2-level house with new bathrooms. Kitchen well-equipped (but without dishwasher) and just large enough for dining indoors with a family. Wonderful terraces.

Nice place to stay with a family
We had a nice week in the Casa da Aldeia! Perfect to stay with the family because of the two bedrooms upstairs plus bathroom, and the third bedroom downstairs with an additional bath and the kitchen. In the evening we set on the terasse with view to the sea, a small waterfall and banana plants in the surounding. The equipment of the house was complete and clean.

Geschmackvoll ausgestattetes altes Haus mit Charme
Wir haben uns in diesem alten Steinhaus sehr wohl gefühlt. Es liegt an einer sehr schmalen, sehr steilen Straße, in der Nachbarschaft sind weitere alte Häuser und Bananen-Plantagen. Wir hatten kein Auto, was von uns einige Sportlichkeit abverlangte, um abends aus dem Ortszentrum wieder zum Haus hinauf zu steigen (aber die ältere einheimische Bevölkerung hat dies ja auch ein Leben lang so bewältigt). Im Ortszentrum gibt es Bushaltestellen. Der Ort hat einen Kieselstrand.
Wir würden erneut in diesem Haus wohnen wollen, vielleicht dann aber doch mit Auto :-)

Nice house with a big outside area
Big rooms, everything is very clean and the outside area is great to have a good time with family and friends. The road to the house is a big small but you get used to it. Great service and also very good location (close to Funchal but still in a very quite neighbourhood). We recommend it.

Greatly renovated house with fantastic outside yards to enjoy the beautiful weather and landscape!
Bedrooms were very cosy and we enjoyed our stay.
Location is not the best even if you are an experienced driver! The first approach (up or down) were (words here do not suffice :-)) despite no accidents. It is a super house, however, located in a dramatic street! We had no problems in the end but I do think I got an extra plus in my driving license capabilities (and I am a good driver ;-))!

Everything was more than fine and we would really recommend it.
House has a good equipment, owner is fantastic and helpful, view is AMAZING. :)
Enough space for 6 people (2 bathrooms, 2 TVs, 4 sunbeds, parking space for min 2 cars and BBQ corner.
Camara de Lobos is a nice village and a good starting point for trips through Madeira. Supermarket only 5min drive with a large selection (you get there everything you need incl. fresh bread, meat & fish).
Top sauberes Haus
Alles super, sehr nette Vermieter, unkompliziert.
Einziges wirkliches Manko ist die Nachbarschaft: Hund auf der Terasse der z.T. früh endlos kläfft. Überhaupt viel Hundegebell und Hähnekrähen nachts in der Siedlung. Also wir haben dann bei geschlossenem Fenster geschlafen, was bei höheren Temperaturen auch nicht so prall ist.
