Wir haben alles wie zuvor beschrieben vorgefunden. Der Check-In war auf Nachfrage sogar spontan etwas früher möglich. Die Unterkunft selber war nach kurzem suchen dann auch gut zu finden.
Die Möbel waren intakt, das Badezimmer in Ordnung. Die Ausstattung in der Küche auch sauber und ausreichend, es fehlte nur an Kleinigkeiten (kleine Löffel, Handtücher, Spülmaschinentabs). Die Lage war optimal! Nachts es etwas laut durch den Verkehr, insbesondere heizende Motorräder. Bei geschlossenen Fenstern aber nicht störend. Die Terrasse war ein Traum! Tolle Aussicht vor allem abends beim Sonnen Untergang und nachts mit Blick auf das beleuchtete Funchal.

Had a small issue getting inside due to the number security key not working. This was fine once we gained access due to then having a key. Underground car park a bonus. Not easy to find but once located a big plus as parking in Madeira is difficult. Would recommend this apartment.

Poduszki dekoracyjne w jednej sypialni nie były zbyt czyste tak samo jak i zasłony. jednak ze względu na cenę i wyposażenie nie uważam tego za duży minus. Polecam to miejsce jako świetną bazę wypadową do zwiedzania wyspy :)

I have always used An Island Apart when staying in Funchal and have found them to be very reliable. Instructions prior to our stay was clear and they helped to book transfer to/from the airport. Check in was straight forward and communication was prompt.
The apartment itself was in a great location in Funchal and walking distance to restaurants, marina, supermarket, Santa Catrina park, Cristiano Ronaldo museum and other places of attraction. As we were there for the New Year, the caretaker opened the roof terrace and we were able to watch the infamous fireworks from an amazing spot. It was breathtaking.
The apartment was spotless and had everything we required for our week's stay. Balcony over the city with views of the mountains were amazing especially at night time. On a minus side, it could get a bit noisy given the location and time of year but a small price to pay.
I would definitely recommend this apartment for any family thinking of staying in Funchal.

We very much enjoyed our stay at this apartment. It is spacious, well-equipped, and spotlessly clean. A couple of minor issues were fixed immediately (thank you Hugo). We found the beds very comfortable. We know the building/area well, so were not surprised by some traffic noise - the trade-off for being in the heart of the city. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Faco uma observacao que considero importante, com relacao ao check-in, tendo em vista que nao havia ninguem esperando, conforme combinado: informar no email o codigo do cofre, junto a porta ,para ter acesso as chaves .
Acho importante tambem deixar junto as instrucoes ,que estao dentro do apartamento um mapa simples de acesso a garagem e tambem a localizacao do box dentro desta ,pois eh bastante grande .PS: Indicar aonde esta o elevador na garagem, pois a identificacao da porta eh dificil.
Sao pequenos detalhes mas muito importantes , evitando-se assim perda de tempo e estresse na chegada.

The place is right in the centre of Funchal! It is noisy and you get the noise because you really need all windows and terrace door open for the great fresh air from outside. There's a parking which is helpful, but also bugs (small cocroaches) all over the kitchen which are less welcome. The balcony and windows are towards the mountains, not the ocean. And you need to set a meeting time in advance in order to check in (it is not a self check in) - the hosts are very nice. Above all - the location and price worth it.

The apartment (and the whole building) were invaded by coackroaches!
When we tried to use the kitchen, the coackroaches came out of the drawers; they also were in the bathrooms and in the bedrooms. Even the floor was really dirty.
Our vacation was ruined because we couldn’t use the kitchen and enjoy the apartment.
The customer service was not interested in solving this problem properly and replied us inappropriately.

The location and included underground parking space were great. However, there was a lot of street noise which continued until well after midnight. Mold in bathroom showers around fixtures and bottom doors and glass necessitated three applications of mold spray before we used them. The toilet paper roll holder and light over the bathroom mirror in the hall bathroom were also broken. The coffee maker did not filter through the coffee completely and the dented toaster burnt the bread. One deck chair was torn 3/4 of the way through so we were not keen to use it. No central heat or air-con but plug-in heaters and fans available. There were extra pillows in the closets but no extra pillow slips and the extra pillows were yellowed in the middle. This apartment has great potential but needs repair and updating. All in all not a place we would return to or recommend.

Lots of Potential but Not Up to Par
The close location for walking to the old town and the underground parking, plus the deck, attracted us to this rental. It was a very secure building. However, it was noisy way after midnight even with closed windows; some things needed much better cleaning (black mold in showers especially), and some items were broken or didn’t work well. Beds were OK. No central heat or air/conditioning. Room fans and heaters only. This rental has lots of potent but needs to replace and update things. We would not stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay in this apartment. It is close to shops and the harbour. As previous reviews have mentioned, there is some traffic noise, and if this worries you, this is not the place to stay, but, we didn't really find that it caused us a problem. The apartment was clean and well appointed, including a car parking space which was excellent when we hired a car for a couple of days.

Die Vermietung war top, auch die Kommunikation war super. Bäder und Zimmer sehr sauber. Abzug gibt es für den Geräuschpegel. Auch in der Nacht, obwohl die Fenster geschlossen waren, dachten wir ab und an wir sind direkt an der Straße im Erdgeschoss. Ruhig war es meistens erst ab 1 Uhr früh. Wem dass nichts ausmacht ist hier toll und zentral aufgehoben. Auch ist ein Garagenplatz vorhanden. Besonders gefallen hat uns der morgentliche Blick auf die Bergansicht und auf die Burg.

Excellent location in the centre of Funchal. It is steps away from the harbour, parks and shopping mall. The apartment was very comfortable, clean and well stocked with kitchen utensils and appliances.
Negative:
Miscommunication upon arrival. Waited half an hour for keys to arrive. Our driver, apparently contacted someone to let us in, but it was weekend, so they tried to get a co worker to meet us. Took too long for a tired and cranky family of four. But, this condo was worth the wait!!

Negative:
There was an infestation of cockroaches which prevented us using the kitchen at all. In spite of reporting the infestation the problem was not dealt with adequately for 5 days. The rest of the apartment was clean and I would have recommended the property but for this, as it was obvious the infestation was there before we took over the rental. We also had a problem with the main shower leaking, but this was dealt with speedily and rectified.

The flat was really spacious, a couple of bedrooms, and a couple of bathrooms, which was really convenient as there was 4 of us traveling there. There is a nice terrace with the view on the main street in Funchal, but we couldn't really hear the noises as it was really high (except the rally cars during this very weekend!).
I thought the location was perfect as it's very easy to walk toward the city center (5-10min walk), and the old town. We had a car, and the parking situated at the basement of the building was really convenient, although a bit narrow.
Last but not least, the people from the property management team were really nice, both the person communicating with us by email (Maria), and the other person giving us the keys when we arrived. He actually thought we were doing an early check-in, and waited for us for a couple of hours around the building. I thought this was nice, even called us on the phone to know when we could get the keys.
For the conveniency of the flat, at this price, I really recommend this option.
Negative:
I thought everything went pretty good, except perhaps some neighbors upstairs that walked during the night with heels on their terrace (which was above our bedroom), so the negative aspect is more related to their lack of education and common sense, than to the quality of the flat.

Ich würde diese Feienwohnung jedem empfehlen, der eine gemütliche, zentrale Unterkunft mit super Preis-Leistungsverhältnis sucht! Es gibt zwei Schlaf- und zwei Badezimmer und die Wohnung ist wirklich eher gross. Theoretisch würde sie sich für bis zu vier Gäste eigenn, obwohl wir nur zu zweit waren fanden wir den Preis mehr als angemessen. Ich möchte besonders die zentrale Lage (direkt an der Marina, irgendwie Teil eines Einkaufscenters, es gibt Restaurants und Supermärkte ganz in der Nähe), den dazugehörigen Parkplatz in der Tiefgarage und den Balkon lobend erwähnen, wunderschöne Aussicht auf die Berge beim Frühstücken.

Para quem quer estar no centro do Funchal, o apartamento tem uma boa localização. Tem lugar de garagem. A máquina de café que estava no apt não estava completa e foram rápidos a resolver.
Negative:
Por onde começar..Logo no primeiro dia, encontramos uma companhia animal, uma barata. O apartamento tem péssimo isolamento, não recomendo a quem tem um sono leve porque ouve-se tudo o que se passa lá fora. A cama e as almofadas são igualmente péssimas, cama super mole e as almofadas é igual a não ter nada. Não é fácil perceber como funciona o chuveiro. As paredes da sala estão com a tinta a descascar e apanhamos uma noite de temporal e a casa ficou cheia de água. O anfitrião não pareceu preocupado nem apresentou uma solução. O apartamento não é acolhedor, com umas pequenas melhorias podiam ter um espaço ótimo.

The apartment which is located on the 7th floor has wonderful views of the mountains, Santa Catarina Park and the Avendida Arriaga. It is situated in close proximity to the harbour, restaurants, shopping malls, bakery, taxis and buses- fabulous central location. This spacious condo is well equipped for four adults. The dishes, appliances and furniture were in great shape. The beautiful terrace and cable tv were used to relax after a full day of sightseeing. You will not be disappointed!

The apartment has one of the best locations in Funchal, especially for a first time stay in Madeira. Everything is within walking distance, plenty of shops, restaurants and attraction. In addition, it has a great balcony with a wonderful view of the city.

The Communication is also very good, we arrived a little bit sooner but that wasnt a Problem which was very nice.

The views from the terrace were lovely. We were here in November so there wasn’t much sun on the terrace. It was also noisy outside with traffic and the fountain outside. But nice and quiet inside.

O apartamento é exatamente como na descrição, amplo, limpo e muito bem localizado. Eu quero destacar a reatividade sempre que eu precisei. Perto do mar, de centros comerciais, de linhas de bus, taxis e varios parques, o apartamento é perfeito para o sejour de uma familia ou amigos. Eu apreciei muito, recomendo e se eu voltar a Madeira, certamente vou tentar ficar nesse endereço novamente.

I can nothing else but highly recommend renting an appartement from Travel to madeira. Communication was excelent, check in and checkout smooth. Madalena who was waiting for us was friendly, helpful and we can call her if anything during whole stay. Travel to madeira also arranged for us taxi to and from levada walk in very reasonable price. Thanks for everything.

Amazing location, modern apartment and awesome view of the balcony. Unfortunately, wifi doesn't reach the two bedrooms, garage location and spot is very confusing. Should have an in depth explanation/ visual of the parking spot if renter is planning to rent a car. It was a puzzle going thru the shopping center and thru all the stairs and doors. FYI have some tips on where to have local cuisines not touristic locations. Thanks.

Definitivamente esta es la localizacion perfecta para disfrutar de Madeira y Funchal. Puedes ir a pie a visitar el casco historico y a los restaurantes sin necesitar coche
Tienes parking incluido debajo de la casa lo cual es de agradecer ya que en el centro es dificil aparcar.
Las vistas son bonitas desde la terraza aunque está en una calle con bastante trafico por lo que con Las ventanas abiertas hay bastante ruido pero no tuvimos problema para dormir con ellas cerradas. Fue un acierto coger este apartamento sin piscina en vez de uno en la zona de Lido con ella.

Unbeatable location and spacious flat, recommended. Some appliances in the kitchen and the bathroom would need a fix, though. As downside points I'd say that the Wi-Fi doesn't reach the most distant bedroom and small (up to 1.5 cm) cockroaches roamed in the kitchen.

Concernant l’appartement, il est bien avec une terrasse pour en profiter, par contre assez bruyant malgré les fenêtres doubles vitrages, on entend un bruit de fond..

Fabulous location right by the beerhouse and marina and bus stops to the Main Street where hotels are located. It’s a nice walk into town and the old town is only 10 mins away too.
The apartment is very well equipped and comfortable and balcony was a lovely touch.
They organised our airport transfers with no issues
Would not hesitate to book again

Apartamento muito bom, localização fantástica. Bem equipado. Pedi acessórios de bebé, banheira, cadeira alta e berço que foram colocados. Check in flexível, entramos mais cedo do q o previsto. Único inconveniente foi a existência de baratas no apartamento, mas pelo que me apercebi é um problema do prédio, já que vi alguns cartazes a referir o controlo de pragas. Ainda assim algo deve ser feito porque há hóspedes que devem ter medo e não será nada agradável.

Very good location. Everything in Funchal is within walking distance. We stayed for five weeks and enjoyed every day. Practical and clean flat. Some noise from Avenida Arriaga, but this is smack in the middle of town, and we enjoye hours on the balcony every day in January/February.
Good cleaning and check-in service. Rapid answers from management. Would stay again.

En ce qui concerne le logement:
Logement très propre, avec 2 salles de bain et 2 chambres.
La terrasse est parfaite pour prendre les repas.
Tout les équipements sont là (serviette, machine à laver, lave vaisselle...)
L'hôte est très réactif

While the apartment itself was great as was the location the communication on the day of our arrival was not. I had organised an airport transfer via the host (giving our flight details and times etc) and yet there was no one at the apartment to check us in on arrival nor was anyone responding to phone calls or messages initially. We ended up waiting over an hour with our luggage to get checkin as it seems they had forgotten to organise this for us.

The place is however noisy and has no aircon, better have earplugs at night

A quem tem sono leve poderá incomodar o barulho de uma rua muito movimentada (que é, na verdade, o preço a pagar por tanta centralidade). Mas, após 2 caminhadas por veredas maravilhosas, o mais provável é adormecer profundamente de imediato!
Experiência, no global, muito positiva e a repetir. Recomendo!

We really enjoyed everything about the this apartment ,the location,the size ,the cleanest,the mountain view specially at night, almost perfect. The only reason did not give 5 because of the showers in the bathroom they were new and looked fancy but not very practical.

The apartment is really in the heart of the town next to the theater. Everything is close. The down side is that also the noice level is higher (trafic, people etc.). The apartment is well equipped but we did miss the oven and the washing macine.
