A great stay
IonsThe flat was easy to find and the instructions for the key clear. The apartment is light and airy with great views of the City and sea. It has a very well equipped kitchen and a comfy bed. It is a straight forward 10 minute walk to Funchal centre where there were many bars and restaurants. You are a 50 minute walk from the hotel area - but I like this

We enjoyed our stay very much. The apartment is excellently placed for the old town with its numerous restaurants and shops. Busses are a short walk away enabling the island to be explored further afield. The An Island Apart management were helpful and flexible. The apartment is well equipped and tastefully decorated. The view from the balcony overlooking the harbour and Funchal is excellent. Would certainly recommend.

Great apartment
The apartment was just as shown on photographs, spotlessly clean and fresh smelling. It had everything we needed and more for a stress free holiday. Very comfortable (large) bed, adequate crockery and cutlery, superb power shower, even a very decent hairdryer 😊 Perfect location, 5 mins walk into old town and 5 mins in the opposite direction to Funchal main town, couple of roads are steep but not too challenging. Lots of restaurants within easy reach, daily market place and large Pingo Doce supermarket within walking distance. Both balconies have a spectacular view of the ocean and also the mountains, we enjoyed watching a cruise ship come into port and also the cable cars gliding by. The apartment building is secure and communal areas are kept clean. I would absolutely recommend this apartment.
