Fully refurbished, close to the promenade for seaside strolls and several beaches, this modern and well decorated duplex apartment brings together everything you need for an excellent family vacation.

This nice and modern duplex apartment is located in the tourist center of Funchal, where several hotels, restaurants, stores, beaches and a fantastic promenade where you can end the day with a relaxing walk.

With two floors, this apartment is completely remodeled and has large areas in all rooms. On the upper floor you will find three bedrooms, one with a double bed, private bathroom and balcony; and two other bedrooms with two single beds and a common bathroom, one of which allows access to the balcony.
The living room and kitchen in open space are located on the lower floor. In this space you will also find a bathroom and access to the balcony with seating area, which offers a fantastic sea view.
This apartment has a maximum capacity for six people and is fully equipped with all the amenities for a pleasant vacation in Madeira Island.
The property has a parking space.

AREA
This property is located in Rampa do Lido, next to an Indian restaurant, a supermarket and the post office branch. It is an area with many services available around, restaurants, bars, hotels, beaches, bike path, promenade, gardens and paddle courts nearby. The nearest Shopping Center (Fórum Madeira) is 900 meters away (3 minutes by car or 13 minutes walk).
It will take about 7 to 10 minutes by car to reach the center of Funchal.

GETTING AROUND
The best option to get to the property will be the transfer. Ask us to book one with our local partners. It is cheaper than the taxis you find at the airport.
If you rent a car, any navigation app can easily find the address.

ACCESS TO PROPERTY
You have access to all areas of the property.

INTERACTION
We are always available to help or answer questions. We do our best to reply all requests. We also have an app for guests with all the important information about the property and other useful information for your stay.

OTHER OBSERVATIONS
- According to Portuguese law, all guests are required to present a valid ID. (passport or identity card).
- Check-in hour must be scheduled in advance. If it is not scheduled within a maximum of 48 hours before, guests will be subject to the availability of our team.
- All bed linen and towels are provided. We can also put a baby cot, a high chair and a baby bath if needed, but you should request. There are a first aid kit, extinguishers and fire blanket in the property.

ATTENTION
Please be advised that a Tourist Fee will be charged to all persons staying overnight in the municipality of Funchal. Thus, all customers staying in tourist resorts and/or accommodation establishments, aged 13 or over, will be charged €2.00 per person/night, up to a maximum of 7 nights and a maximum of €14.00 per person/stay. When you arrive, you will receive a link to pay this municipal tax.

Enkele kleinigheden moeten aangepakt worden: sloten van de ramen, putjesgeur in de toiletruimte, krakende koelkastdeur, waterafloop op terras.
De kasten konden een betere schoonmaak hebben.
Hele vlotte en snelle communicatie met de beheerders, duidelijke uitleg voor in- en uitchecken.

Great place to stay, very close proximity to shops and restaurants. Just note that the apartment is up quite a steep hill which makes driving a bit difficult / walking if your mobility isn’t great. Overall great apartment with lovely views and interior. Only comment would be to provide more towels for the stay but otherwise lovely place to stay and would highly recommend!

Can only recommend this place. Spacious duplex, impeccably clean, sunlit, well equipped. The 2 bathrooms and 3 toilets make it comfortable for a larger group too (up to 6 peolle). Staff has even offered to clean and refresh the flat on the third day of our stay. A huge advantage is the very good supermarket just around the corner with a buffet-style restaurant and café. A public beach free of charge is just a (very) short walk away. Free and closed parking place. Quick access to the highway if one wants to drive out of Funchal. Funchal old town is half an hour away on foot, but the walk is nice and easy. Disadvantages: none.

Nice spacious apartment. Good kitchen and dining table. We liked the location with supermarket downstairs and a shoppingmall within a 10 minute walk. We enjoyed the sea view from the balcony and had quiet nights to sleep.
Driving up in the narrow street to the apartment and parking at the parking spot was challenging but practice makes you master it. You need a car to go to the city centre of Funchal.

Świetne miejsce na pobyt na Maderze! Mieszkanie idealnie sprawdza się jako baza wypadowa – w zaledwie 5 minut autobusem można dotrzeć do centrum Funchal, a spacer zajmuje około 20 minut. W pobliżu znajduje się sklep spożywczy, a przystanek autobusowy oddalony jest o zaledwie 3 minuty spacerem, co bardzo ułatwia poruszanie się po okolicy.

Największym atutem mieszkania jest przepiękny widok na ocean, który można podziwiać już od samego rana przy śniadaniu. Mieszkanie jest czyste, dobrze wyposażone i komfortowe. Właściciel jest bardzo pomocny i sprawna komunikacja sprawiła, że cały pobyt był bezproblemowy.

Zdecydowanie polecam każdemu, kto szuka wygodnego i dobrze położonego miejsca na pobyt na Maderze!

Excellent location in the middle of the Lido neighbourhood. Easy to access the express roads to both sides of the island and to the airport. Amenities were as described in the ad, with AC on all rooms, clean and spacious. Very clean apartment, reasonable garage spot.

Schöne, saubere Wohnung mit offenem Wohn-Koch-Bereich der ein gemeinsames Essen sehr angenehm macht. Für die Gegend ist besonders der private Parkplatz von Vorteil, damit hat man immer einen verfügbaren und sicheren Ort um ein Auto abzustellen. Die Nachbarn waren sehr zuvorkommend und ein Supermarkt ist in einer Minute zu erreichen. Alles in allem empfehlenswert.

We really enjoyed staying at this property! The location was perfect. The supermarket was a 1 minute walk away and it was also centrally located to all the main tourist attractions. In addition, the best Indian restaurant was located just steps away. The house was exactly what was shown in the listing. It was well kept, beautifully designed and had a nice sea view.

A few things to consider: 1. Unlocking the gate to access car parking was a little confusing. It would help if there’s a video demonstration, similar to how the host provided to enter the property. 2. There were tiny ants in the kitchen area near the sink. 3. We were having a dinner with two of our group who just got engaged. We were notified the volume inside was too loud, so we kept the volume down and no issues after that. If you are a large group, consider there may be a volume reader inside the unit. However there were no issues once we responded.

Overall, we’d highly recommend this property!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The apartment is very spacious with plenty of light. The location is perfect with the essentials on our doorstep. The City itself is a nice leisurely 35-40 min walk. There was a couple of niggles at the beginning but these were addressed very quickly by an Island Apart. Looking forward to returning.

We had a wonderful time. Our son was training with local futball team. Location was perfect with easy walking access downtown Funchal and many great restaurants nearby. Supermarket right next door was convenient. Only thing missing from unit was a working coffepot, but with so many places nearby was not a major issue.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans cet appartement.
Le logement était propre, confortable, spacieux et calme. Balcon très agréable.

De plus, un supermarché se trouve à même pas 50 mètres de l'appartement, ainsi qu'un excellent restaurant indien.
Le front de mer avec possibilité de baignade était de plus très proche.

Nous n'avons pas eu besoin d'entrer en contact avec An Island mais tout était très bien organisé.
Instructions claires pour rentrer dans l'appartement. Possibilité d'arranger un transport de/vers l'aéroport.

Very cozy and big apartment with full facilities. Big advantage with the private parking space! Definitely will come again!
A few negatives points:
-Not clean when we arrived. Wanted to clean by ourselves but the vacuum was not working.
-The sink from the bedroom bathroom was completely clogged, so not possible to use it.
-Lot of noise from the neighbours dogs.

Very spacious and well organised apartment.
Nice balcony on both floors.
Superb view from the living and 2 of the bedrooms.
Private parking space.
Close from the airport.
Not clean when we arrived. Wanted to clean the space by ourselves but the vacuum didn’t work.
One of the bathroom sink was completely clogged at the arrival so impossible to use.
Lot of noise from the neighbours dogs.

The view from the balcony was amazing. This was a safe location and the parking space was very useful as we rented a car. The A/C worked well. We appreciated the arrival gift and made use of the good stock of kitchen supplies.

Es hat alles tiptop geklappt und wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt. Die Bilder auf der Webseite zeigen, wie es wirklich aussieht. Sauberes, modern eingerichtetes Apartment, gut ausgestattete Küche. Tolle Aussicht vom Appartement. Alles ist in der Nähe, der Supermarkt ist um die Ecke.
Es war eine fantastische Basislage und ich kann diese Wohnung nicht genug empfehlen!

The area where it is situated is certainly wonderful!

The size of the apartment is a plus, as is having the two floors, the two balconies, the three rooms, and the two and a half bathrooms. The spacious kitchen, the large dining table and the separate laundry room were also much appreciated.

We were very happy with the comfort of the beds and that they were changed once a week.

We did encounter a few issues and we received a rapid response.

Hatalmas apartman, 3 fürdőszobával és két erkéllyel. Teljesen felszerelt és nagyon jó helyen található. Rögtön az utcában egy kiváló indiai étterem, pár perc séta az óceánpart. 10 perc gyaloglással elérhető több kiváló étterem és bár is. A belváros busszal 5 perc. Az apartman mindennnel rendelkezik ami lehetővé tenné egy több hetes otttartózkodást.
Csak apróságok: az emeleten nincs wifi, a fenti fürdő törölközőfogasa kimozdult. Kevés a törölköző.

Sehr schöne, große Wohnung in der man sich direkt wohlfühlen kann. Sie ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man so braucht und hat einen wundervollen Blick von den zwei Balkonen aufs Meer. In der Umgebung sind viele gute Restaurants und Bars und der Supermarkt ist auch direkt die Straße runter. Einziges Manko ist, dass es -dank der zentralen Lage und einer Firma direkt unter der Wohnung - recht laut ist. Aber alles in allem hatten wir einen tollen Aufenthalt

The place was lovely and definitely walkable to many restaurants and shopping destinations. There was a little issue during check in, where the main green gate was locked and I did not realize the key fob was inside the house and not in the lock box. However the host was really helpful and directed me to the correct location right away. Another minor issue with the location of the place (not to the host's fault, more so in regards of the surrounding tenants) is that at night there are two patrons that will park their car in front of the main green gate. You will be able to still fit a car between the cars and the wall to get in and out of the parking garage but it is a tight fit. I would suggest going home early to avoid stressing about squeezing in tight spots. Overall, the place is perfect for our family of five and we had an amazing time in Madeira.

Great AirBnb with everything you need.
You have a supermarket right next door, all the restaurants in the area and by bus to the city center will take you 10 min costin 1,95€ pp.
The terrace on the second floor is the best part with a beautiful view over the sea.
Only the sink was smelling during our stay.

Just wrapped up a lovely week at this Island Apart property in Lido. The apartment was perfect for our group as was the location. Grocery just around the corner, amazing Indian food next door and a view to die for. Couldn’t be happier with our spot and wouldn’t hesitate to return.

Pluses first. Location is really good. It is about a 1.5 mile walk to the center of Funchal, but Lido 1 is in a nice neighborhood with plenty of great restaurants around. An Island Apart has a great customer portal and it was super easy to request an early check-in and late check-out (at very reasonable rates), and order transportation to and from the airport. Nice perk! The apartment is spacious and the upstairs balcony was particularly nice.

Minuses. The apartment was fairly clean, however the kitchen table still had stuck on food and crumbs in the chairs from previous guests. We also found a drawer full of underwear. General items you expect in a VRBO were lacking. There were no paper towels (had to buy our own), only 1 kitchen towel, one dishwasher pod, no dish soap, etc. Towels were an issue as well. Although this is a 3-bedroom, 2 ½ bath unit, we were only given 1 towel each for me and my husband. We called and texted about the towels and it took a day to get 2 more. Normally we would wash the towels but with no dryer it was taking quite a while for items to air dry. My husband was told they only allow one towel per person. IMO, it is a better guest experience to equip the house to the number of bedrooms/bathrooms. Barking dogs. There are several (very annoying) barking dogs as neighbors.

Not a positive or a negative, but good info to share – there are approximately 70 stairs from the main road to the apartment. We liked the exercise, but if you have trouble with stairs, this may not be the place for you.

This is a gorgeous flat, in a convient location, however there was construction in the surrounding flats from 8am-6pm Mon-Sat. The project was not near finished when we stayed so please check with the host before booking. The sound was so loud we couldn’t stay in the flat during those hours. When reported to the host they indicated it was out of their control. They offered replacement properties several hundred euros per night cheaper than this flat and a small refund.

Check in and check out instructions weren’t clear. Spent an hour trying to check in. Never received check out instructions.

Some basic amenities were provided (coffee, salt, pepper, oil) but some were missing (hand soap, hand towels in each bathroom, shampoo, body wash, enough toilet paper and laundry detergent for the length of stay)

The laundry area and main bathroom areas have a constant pungent smell.

Communication was slow and not always clear. If these issues were resolved it is a beautiful flat and safe and central area.

The noise coming from the construction depends on the phase of work they are in. This is out of our control; however, we have done our best to help you by offering you the possibility to change accommodation (we gave you several options, the only ones we had available) and as you still did not accept to change accommodation we proceeded with a 20% refund.
All the information about your booking and the necessary check-in and check-out instructions are made available, in a simple and clear way, in your customer area which is made available when you confirm your booking. In any case, we are sorry if we have not been perceptive enough. You will always be welcome at our properties. :)

Great place for long term stays. Had all the conveniences one would need especially the Pingo Doce (grocery store) just down from the duplex. Views are incredible from both balconies. It is very peaceful in the evening. It is a short 20 minute walk to the centre of Funchal. We purchased a monthly bus pass and it was worth it. It would be remiss of me not to mention that the adjacent duplex is under renovation. Madeira is an incredible island.

So close to everything including a delicious Indian food restaurant. Very comfortable apartment with all the essentials but not much extra. They were kind enough to allow us a very early check in. But then ghosted us and any questions the rest of the trip including not informing us that we had an early check in for next guests. The guests ended up on our doorstep an hour before check out as we rushed around the apartment picking up to leave. Turns out they were from our area of the states so we were able to share a laugh with them and gift them the inevitable extra wine and ice cream we had to leave behind. So not perfect but still a nice space at a good value.

Enjoy the nice place with sea view at the balconies. If you plan to cook and relax, they have efficient kitchen. Also great location for restaurants and stores. Only thing, communicate ahead with management company to access the property if you don’t want to wait outside for a while to hold of someone.

What a fantastic place! It is really well presented and the photos do not do it justice.

Check in was super easy and the apartment was spotless with a really nice welcome card from the host. Each room was set out nicely with a set of fresh towels.

Everything was as expected and there is a handy chart with all the useful information. The WiFi was also really fast (350MB).

The kitchen is well stocked with crockery / cutlery / cleaning products and doesn’t lack for anything with all modern appliances. There is also a washing machine but we didn’t need to use it.

The location is amazing and literally 2 mins walk to the local supermarket and some excellent bars and restaurants. It also feels really safe and quiet in the evening so you can really enjoy the views.

There is no Uber in Madeira but there is a taxi rank for 4 / 7 seater taxis 5 mins walk away. We also pre-booked our airport transfers via the portal which was really convenient.

It was a fantastic base location for our break and I cannot recommended this apartment highly enough!

We are very happy about our stay! The apartment is very spacious and is nicely decorated! Everything is new, the furniture is stylish and of a good quality. Kitchen has everything you need. There are two balconies on both floors with sea view, two bathrooms and one toilet downstairs. Everything is close by, the supermarket is just around the corner. We had a very pleasant stay🙂

Velký, nově zrekonstruovaný apartnmán, ze dvou ložnic s výhledem na oceán. Pohodlné postele. Parkování zdarma, v okolí vše potřebné (obchody, restaurace, zábava).
Problém při příjezdu s klíči (zapomněli poslat email s kódem) a s předáním ovladače k bráně (také zapomněli), nicméně, předpokládám, že to jsou začátečnické problémy, které se nebudou opakovat.
