Refurbished apartment, with sea view balcony and barbecue, for a wonderful holiday in Calheta, one of the hottest areas of Madeira Island.

Intelsol Calheta Apartment II is a completely renovated 1-bedroom property with a modern, simple and practical style. Access is by stairs, as this flat is on the third floor of a building located in the Loreto centre, Calheta.
The property has one bedroom with double bed and access to the outside. The WC is common to the flat and is equipped with a shower. The living room and the kitchen share the same space and give access to the outside, which offers incredible views over the sea, a dining area and a barbecue. The sofa turns into a bed, so the capacity of this property is for a maximum of 4 people. All rooms have air conditioning.

Wi-Fi is available in all areas.
There is no reserved parking, however there is free parking next to the building.

AREA
Flat located in the Loreto centre, a sunny area of the Calheta municipality. It is a 10-minute drive from Calheta beach, where you can also find bars, restaurants and a supermarket. Close by is the “Engenho da Calheta”, one of the oldest sugar cane mills in Madeira Island. The facilities and its machinery used in the production of sugar cane brandy and honey may be visited all year round. It has a tasting room and a wine bar.
Calheta is about 40 minutes drive from the Funchal city centre.

GETTING AROUND
The best option to get to the property will be the transfer. Ask us to book one with our local partners. It is cheaper than the taxis you find at the airport.
If you rent a car, any navigation app can easily find the address.

ACCESS TO PROPERTY
You have access to all areas of the property.

INTERACTION
We are always available to help or answer questions. We do our best to reply all requests. We also have an app for guests with all the important information about the property and other useful information for your stay.

OTHER OBSERVATIONS
- According to Portuguese law, all guests are required to present a valid ID. (passport or identity card).
- Check-in hour must be scheduled in advance. If it is not scheduled within a maximum of 48 hours before, guests will be subject to the availability of our team.
- All bed linen and towels are provided. We can also put a baby cot, a high chair and a baby bath if needed, but you should request. There are a first aid kit, extinguishers and fire blanket in the property.

ATTENTION
Please be advised that a Tourist Fee will be charged to all persons staying overnight in the municipality of Calheta. Thus, all customers staying in tourist resorts and/or accommodation establishments, aged 13 or over, will be charged €2.00 per person/night, up to a maximum of 7 nights and a maximum of €14.00 per person/stay. When you arrive, you will receive a link to pay this municipal tax.

A acomodação é maravilhosa. Tudo novo! Cozinha impecável, linda, limpa e completa. A sala de estar com decoração charmosa. Banheiro muito confortável, seguro, lindo, novo e limpo. Ótimas toalhas de banho. Quarto maravilhoso! Cama ótima, lençóis macios e limpos, ar condicionado no quarto e sala, e uma varanda de frente para o Atlântico com uma vista incrível do oceano e cadeira para banho de sol, café da manhã e churrasqueira.

Das AirBnB ist das oberste Stockwerk im Haus. Es gibt keine genaue Adresse, es ist oben über dem Elektronik-Geschäft. Mit der Treppe zwischen den Häusern ganz nach oben. Die kreisförmige Öffnung in der Fassade gehört zum Balkongeländer.
Schön renoviert, alles da, was man braucht. Ein Doppelbett und eine Auszieh-Couch für zwei. Das heiße Wasser funktioniert, es gibt einen Föhn und Handtücher. Schöner Blick auf das Meer. Mini-Supermarkt zwei Häuser weiter.

The flat has a great design and is a good base to access walks inland + south coast. The view from the terrace is fantastic, we loved the sunset facing the church! Very local place,very peaceful. It has all the equipment required, even an electric orange squeezer. There is a small local grocery shop with all the essentials you’ll need (2 min away by car). We enjoyed our stay.
Very personal note: the mattress is really firm.

Schöne Wohnung mit toller Terrasse.
Sehr sauber und man hat schnell auf Nachrichten reagiert.

Einziger negativpunkt war, dass das Wifi 5 Tage nicht funktioniert hat. Sonst alles super.

- gute Lage für die Erkundung der gesamten Insel
- geräumig

Negativ:
- Auto ist zwingend erforderlich

Tolle Unterkunft. Super Gastgeber, die immer schnell geantwortet haben.
Es wurde sogar einmal kostenlos zwischendurch gereinigt und es gab neue Bettwäsche und Handtücher.

Wir waren sehr zufrieden, große Dachterrasse schöner Blick aufs Meer. Schönes Badezimmer mit Tageslicht.

Einzig: Bei Veranstaltungen auf dem Dorfplatz wird es in der Wohnung sehr laut, aber dafür liegt sie eben sehr zentral. Wir hatten am ersten Abend eine riesen Bühne mit Band auf dem Dorfplatz und es war unfassbar laut, man hat den Bass in der Wohnung gespürt, aber dafür kann keiner was! Man hatte auf der Dachterrasse dafür Premiumplätze :-)

Check-In und Check-Out waren sehr einfach. Bett und Kissen relativ hart.

Wir würden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen!

Very clean and new apartment with all forniture. I appreciated the coffee machine, washing machine, dish washer and air conditioning. Quite quarter a part of a dog barking often. Just pay attention to few ants and throw away the garbage daily. Lovely view by the sea. Good space for smartworking. Parking on the street. Big balcony to eat outside. Possibility to grill. I loved staying in this apartment for 10 days.

Location convenient
We were surprised that the unit is on the fourth floor...only accessible by stairs. It made carrying luggage to the unit very difficult. At age 75 , my wife and I are thankful to be in good health, but it was not a pleasant surprise.

Was die Bilder im Inserat nicht zeigen:
den Blick auf völlig ungepflegte Hinterhöfe vom Eingang aus, die von Taubenkot verschmutzte Terrasse, die völlig unzureichende Größe und Qualität des „Schlafsofas für 2 Erwachsene“ und den Staub darunter, die noch feuchten Sitz- und Rückenkissen, die wackeligen Esstischstühle und die allgemein mindere Qualität der Einrichtung - und all das für einen völlig überhöhten Wochenpreis! Insgesamt extrem gut fotografiert und extrem wenig dahinter - dazu noch der äußerst unverschämte Umgangston und die fehlende Professionalität von An Island Apart: Diese Unterkunft ist aus unserer Sicht keinesfalls zu empfehlen!

Vue océan depuis la terrasse et l’appartement. Beau 2 pièces, spacieux. équipé d’un lave linge et d’un lave vaisselle.
Literie confortable.
Isolation phonique des baies vitrées chambre et salon pour réduire les bruits de la rue, le chant des coqs et les cloches à partir de 8h du matin.
Quelques équipements à compléter : bols ou mugs en quantité suffisante, un étendoir sur pied, des matelas pour les 2 transats de la terrasse.

Excelente estadia, o apartamento corresponde à descrição e tem todas as comodidades para desfrutar de uns dias na Madeira. Das Appartement (3. Etage, von außen über eine nach oben schmaler werdende Treppe sehr gut zu erreichen) ist exakt wie auf den Bildern dargestellt. Die Einrichtung ist clean, gemütlich und wir haben uns sofort wohlgefühlt. Der Ausblick von der Terrasse ist zu jeder Tageszeit schön; insbesondere der Sonnenuntergang.

Die Unterkunft ist im kleinen Örtchen Loreto gelegen; zentral im Ortskern mit Kirche, Snack Bar , Mini Mercado und Café nebenan. Man fühlt sich dadurch wie ein Local, da die Lokalitäten von den Einheimischen aufgesucht werden und man so direkt etwas von der portugiesischen Lebensart mitbekommt. Toll!

Parkplätze gibt es direkt vor dem Haus am öffentlichen Platz.

Wenige Meter die Straße nach oben gibt es zudem ein italienisches Restaurant sowie einen weiteren Supermarkt.
Mülltonnen sind sowohl an der Hauptstraße als auch unterhalb des öffentlichen Platzes zu finden.

Verbesserungsvorschlag:
In der Unterkunft gibt es zwar einen Handkehrer, aber ein großer Besen wäre gut

Beautiful place, very well equipped, balcony , view, crisp sheets and towels, a real pleasure!
Yes, there is a church bell and no it's not disturbing, actually very cute and only in decent hours. It was easy to park right infront and overall the place felt easy and homey!

Úžasný byt s krásným výhledem, vše čisté, krásné, dobře vybavená kuchyně a jako bonus zatemňovací závěsy. Při příjezdu chyběla dětská postýlka, ale kontaktovala jsem An Island a neprodleně to přinesli. Sousedství je klidné a i když to není přímo v Arco da Calheta, ale vedle v Loreto, nevadilo nám to. Úžasná, velká terasa je vhodná i pro děti. Hned vedle je café-bar s večerkou a nedaleko také menší supermarket. Toto ubytování hodnotíme na 10/10, cítili jsme se zde skvěle.

Die Unterkunft war wirklich einwandfrei. Die Lage war Prima. Nicht mitten in der Stadt und schön ruhig. Mit einem Mietwagen war alles super zu erreichen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilft einem bei allen Fragen. Wir können es definitiv weiterempfehlen!

Très bel Airbnb avec une vue incroyable sur l’océan.
L’appartement était très propre et très fonctionnel : cuisine bien équipée (machine à café Dolce Gusto, pensez à prendre des dosettes :) )
L’accès est facile à condition d’avoir une voiture : stationnement dans la rue.
Nous avons loué ce Airbnb pour la première partie de notre séjour et visiter l’ouest de l’île.

Die Fotos entsprechen absolut der Realität. Toll fanden wir, dass in der Hälfte unseres Aufenthaltes eine Zwischenreinigung stattfand :).

Un alojamiento increíble y muy fiel a lo que se muestra en el anuncio. Lo único importante es alquilar también un vehículo propio o por lo menos tener en mente que hace falta para poder moverse no solo por la zona, si no por toda la isla. Por el resto ninguna pega, repetiría sin duda.

Outstanding experience. Needed another blanked and got it delivered a few hours later. They even pointed out an upcoming rally with road closures we weren't aware of. The Apartment is very clean and the balcony / view is absolutely amazing!

This is a pristineAirbnb in a low-key area with gorgeous views over the ocean. The host's communication could have been better, and the Airbnb lacked paper towels, adequate toilet paper, and laundry detergent. Still, we enjoyed our stay because of the serenity of the surroundings.

Beautiful and spacious apartment with all the amenities you need. Highly recommended. Amazing balcony with stunning sunset and ocean views.

Only thing to note is that the building has no elevator so you have to bring your luggage up 3 floors. Could be a challenge for older or less mobile guests.

Our stay at this home was great. The view is fantastic and the apartment was squeaky clean. Great shower and bedroom. There is a great pizzeria a few minutes walk up the street and a grocery store located just up the road walking distance. The host was responsive and helpful when we needed laundry detergent and bathroom supplies.

Ein wunderschönes Apartment mit großer Dachterasse und traumhaftem Ausblick. Alles war sehr sauber und ordentlich. Sehr freundliche Kommunikation.

Der Check-In lief sehr einfach über eine Schlüsselbox. Bei der Anfahrt hatte „Maps“ etwas Probleme mit der Adresse, bei „Karten“ ist das Apartment hingegen hinterlegt und kann so sicher angefahren werden.
Ein Auto ist empfehlenswert, um in kurzer Zeit zu allen wichtigen Punkten auf der Insel zu gelangen. Restaurants, Supermarkt und Bankautomat gibt es in der Nähe.

Insgesamt waren wir überaus zufrieden! Vielen Dank!

Eine moderne, top ausgestattete Wohnung, in der ich drei erholsame Wochen verbringen durfte.

Die Lage in Arco da Calheta ist super. Da größere Supermärkte weiter entfernt sind, ist ein Mietwagen empfehlenswert.

Die Ansprechpartner sind sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Sonntags findet eine Reinigung statt.

We were really happy with apartments. Great sea view, big terrace, very quiet at night. Next supermarket is less than 10 min walking time. In Calheta harbour are plenty of good restaurants and nice beach. And it’s near to most popular Levada hiking routes.

We absolutely enjoyed every minute of our one week stay. The apartment is furnished in modern style, very clean and well equipped, and has a large terrace with a stunning view on the sea and towards the mountains.
Grocery stores and restaurants are within walking distance. We never had any problems finding a parking spot near the building. The village is generally quiet, with the exception of some dogs occasionally barking at night (the bells of the church beside the building remain quiet at night). It lies about 400m above sea level, which means that the beach in Calheta, and, in the other direction, the amazing hiking trails on the high plateau of Paul da Serra are only a few (very steep) driving minutes away. Communication with the owners was friendly and quick, self-check-in and check-out were easy, too.
