Luxury flat, in historic building, in Funchal city centre.
Malvasia Branca de São Jorge or Malmsey is a grape variety used for the production of Madeira Wine.
Malvasia is part of a group of properties called "The Wine Lodges", located in the heart of the city, in a historic building, which houses one of the most important Madeira wine cellars, owned by the iconic Blandy family.
With a decoration thought to detail, where elegance coexists in symbiosis with the building's history, this property offers excellent comfort and luxury details without equal.
The flat has generous spaces, making it perfect for a holiday with a group of friends or family.
Situated on the first floor, in its total area we find a master bedroom, with double bed. The guest bedroom is equipped with two single beds and the living room has a sofa bed for two people.
This property accommodates a maximum of six people.
Wi-Fi is available in all areas of the house.
There is no lift and no private parking.
AREA
The property is located in the noble and central area of Funchal. From this property, you will be able to know all the downtown and main points of interest. This flat is situated right next to the famous Municipal Garden of Funchal and very close to the Funchal Marina and the Municipal Theatre.
In the same building of the property you can visit one of the most important Madeira wine lodges Blandy's Wine Lodges is open daily for tastings and guided tours. In these same lodges you may get to know and purchase a wide range of wines, which you may later pick up at the airport after passing through customs. Guests of this property have one free ticket per couple.
Another must is the bar and restaurant "1811 Wine Bar", which is located in the same building. Here, you can enjoy unique delicacies accompanied by excellent wines. Our guests are granted an exclusive discount in this fantastic space.
In the city centre there is plenty of information about all kinds of activities you can do during your holiday: cultural activities, radical activities, activities linked to nature... whatever the purpose of your visit to Madeira Island!
GETTING AROUND
The best option to get to the property will be the transfer. Ask us to book one with our local partners. It is cheaper than the taxis you find at the airport.
If you rent a car, any navigation app can easily find the address.

OTHER OBSERVATIONS
- According to Portuguese law, all guests are required to present a valid ID. (passport or identity card).
- Check-in hour must be scheduled in advance. If it is not scheduled within a maximum of 48 hours before, guests will be subject to the availability of our team.
- All bed linen and towels are provided. We can also put a baby cot, a high chair and a baby bath if needed, but you should request. There are a first aid kit, extinguishers and fire blanket in the property.

We want you to feel at home. We do not ask for more than respect for neighbours and care for the property, in addition to not smoking inside the house.

Your positive comments about the amenities and restaurants nearby, as well as the capacity to cater for up to 6 people are much appreciated. We deeply regret the issues you've mentioned and truly apologize for the discomfort they caused. We understand that the condition of the property did not meet your expectations and we're sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. We will take your comments regarding the carpet, the hallway floor, and the bathroom decoration into account as we continue to make improvements. We also appreciate your feedback regarding the lack of sufficient glassware, cutlery, and bath towels. These are aspects we will certainly take on board and rectify immediately. About the communication, we didn't received any message from you in general WhatsApp (+351 925 444 444). If we received something we surely inform you that we just change the towels of reservation with more than 8 nights and as ou said you had 4 sets of towels and you were 4 people. Besides, the apartment has a clothes washing machine and the weather was very hot to dry the clothes and towels. In addition we have an option to guest pay an extra fee for new sets of towels. Your comments regarding noise are also valuable to us. We will look into possible solutions to ensure a more peaceful environment for our future guests. Your feedback is invaluable as we strive to improve and offer an even better experience for our guests.
