Hello Ian, thank you for your feedback. It is unfortunate that you feel this way. Upon reviewing your interaction with our guest services, I can assume that your stay started with little or no understanding of general terms and conditions of your reservation. You claim you lost half a day, but you were informed upon booking this property that check-in would be from 16:00 hours, yet you arrived at the property earlier and demanded to be allowed inside, which was not possible and you were informed of such. Secondly all your queries during your stay were answered and resolved, yet you claim they were not. We sincerely hope that you can visit us again in the future so we can take really good care of you and manage your expectations from the day you make your reservation until the day you leave.

What you see is what you get
The apartment met all our expectations and we spent two wonderful weeks in Madeira Palace Residences. We liked the spacious living room, the well-equipped kitchen (incl. washing machine), the cozy bed and the outstanding view from the balcony. You can enjoy the sunset with pool/sea view and the first thing you hear in the morning is the sound of the sea. The parking garage was right across the floor and comfortably accessible. We spent a lot of time at the pool which was not crowded at all. The location is just outstanding. Few steps to the Forum shopping center, the promenade coast walk to Funchal or Camara de Lobos. If we come back to Madeira this residence is definitely our Number One choice!

Lovely apartment
A few minor issues which I would not normally flag, but when paying over €4500 for a week for a 1 bed apartment, I feel the service should have been up to standard: 1. Lack of towels (no hand towels provided for bathrooms) 2. Extra bedding and pillows provided but no linen. The bed only had 1 pillow each, we wanted 2 and couldn't use them the first night as there was no linen 3. Complex is like a rabbit warren and the orientation provided did not reasonably cover this 4. Sofa had chair covers which did not fit so kept coming off when sitting 5. Rug in bedroom is a trip hazard so we had to move it under the bed 6. Electrical fault with large lamp in lounge 7. Cleaning was poor in places, for example patio doors were only cleaned up to a certain height 8. Toilet paper was rationed. We only just had enough. 9. Balcony doors did not look which was a security concern on a low floor As I said, mainly minor issues and 1,2 & 9 were rectified by the agent when we contacted them but for the price I would have expected these to have been in place from the point we checked in. I would however stay here again, particularly if the price was more reasonable. Great location with the beach very near, some great restaurants nearby and a good shopping centre/supermarket under 10 mins away. Certainly the nice end of Funchal. View was amazing to wake up to and sun is on the balcony in the afternoon/evening.
