Modern villa on hillside, with garden, swimming pool, barbecue, a charming sea view and sunset. Decoration in lively and jovial tones. Situated on the west side of Madeira, in a quiet and sunny location, for a relaxing family holiday on Madeira Island.
House 3 bedrooms with 3 floors, decorated in bright and cheerful tones, in sunny and very quiet area. On the entrance floor, a large suite with double bed and canapé with the possibility of using as a bed for small child, a private bathroom with Jacuzzi and walk-in shower. South balcony with hammock. Still on the same floor, a bedroom with double bed and a twin bedroom with 2 beds and a shared bathroom with walk-in shower.
On the intermediate floor, in open space, there is a large fully equipped kitchen, a dining area and a living room with a balcony. A room with laundry/storage room, clothes treatment room, a guest WC and access to a small storage room.
On the lower floor, a barbecue and fully equipped kitchen, dining area and living room with sofa, cable TV, a social toilet and access to the outside.
Outdoor area with garden, dining table, shower, swimming pool, sun loungers, swing and beanbags, with an incredible view of the sea and the fantastic sunset at the right time.
This property is set up to accommodate a maximum of 6 people.
Covered and uncovered parking available within the property.
Wi-Fi available in all areas.
AREA
Property located west of the island (the area with the highest sun exposure of Madeira), in the parish of Tabua, municipality of Ribeira Brava, in an area that borders the municipality of Ponta do Sol. Very quiet and sunny area, just a few minutes from the well known Levada Nova, a footpath where you can enjoy the beautiful landscapes of the west coast of Madeira Island.
There are other points of interest to explore during your stay at Villa Candelária; the Miradouro do Espigão (Ribeira Brava), MUDAS - Madeira Contemporary Art Museum (Calheta), Ponta do Sol beach, Madeira Ethnographic Museum (Ribeira Brava), Ribeira Brava’s Market and much more.
Funchal is about a 20-minute drive from this villa.
Also, in the centre of Funchal there are several tourist attractions and information on cultural activities, radical activities, nature activities, whatever the purpose of your visit to Madeira Island.
GETTING AROUND
The best option to get to the property is by transfer. Ask us to arrange one with our local partners. It's cheaper than the cabs you'll find at the airport. If you rent a car, any navigation app will easily find the address.
ACCESS TO PROPERTY
You have access to all areas of the property.
INTERACTION
We are always available to help or answer questions. We do our best to reply all requests. We also have an app for guests with all the important information about the property and other useful information for your stay.
OTHER OBSERVATIONS
- According to Portuguese law, all guests are required to present a valid ID. (passport or identity card).
- Check-in hour must be scheduled in advance. If it is not scheduled within a maximum of 48 hours before, guests will be subject to the availability of our team.
- All bed linen and towels are provided. We can also put a baby cot, a high chair and a baby bath if needed, but you should request. There are a first aid kit, extinguishers and fire blanket in the property.

We want you to feel at home. We do not ask for more than respect for neighbours and care for the property, in addition to not smoking inside the house.

We really enjoyed our stay at this house and would highly recommend. It's beautiful, spacious, very well appointed and has an amazing view. Internet is fast (~200 Mbps download, ~150 Mbps upload). Our only regret was that it was too cold to enjoy the pool.
Dimitry was a great host. When our car battery died, he arranged for his father to come over in the middle of a storm and give us his battery charger. This was very helpful and greatly appreciated.

certes c'est une maison magnifique.... mais que de problèmes d'humidité. Beaucoup de murs sont très abîmés et des fuites nécessitent de grosses réparations. Bien dommage....

Lage und Ausstattung des Hauses waren sehr gut.
In der unteren Küche gab es einen offenen Grilkamin, auf den ich mich sehr gefreut habe. Weil es keinen Kohlerost gab , ging die Kohle immer wieder aus, da es keine Luftzufuhr von unten gab. Letztlich haben wir unsere Fische doch noch mit viel Luftwedeln gar bekommen

We had a great stay at this Airbnb! The view is unbeatable and the house was very comfortable (the view and pool were really the highlights). It is pretty far up in the hills so it is not the kind of place you can walk to things, but if you are looking for peace and quiet, to relax in a beautiful place with a view, and to enjoy being in a beautiful home, it's perfect! It was exactly what we needed for our stay.
We had a little bit of trouble with our check-in (we had a fairly significant flight delay so there was a bit of miscommunication around who would be meeting us and when, then we had some difficulty finding the place so I would advise visitors make sure you use google maps and not another maps app), but once we were settled in everything was wonderful!

Just had a lovely stay here. The views from the villa are stunning. The villa itself is well equipped, comfortable and very spacious.
Our only slight grumble would be the outdoor living space could be made more comfortable with some sun loungers - it has been mentioned in previous comments and seems to be an easy and quick fix !
Other than that a lovely stay and a good location to explore the island of Madeira.

The villa had beautiful view of the sea, very serene and tranquil place. The villa was very clean and modern, had all the facilities. The location was also excellent. Very big , perfect for our family of five. The kitchen appliances were excellent, having a washing machine was convenient.

This was upsetting because we stayed there for 9 nights, that is a long time but for the whole length of our stay they couldn’t fix the problem. The weather was also not that hot, kids didn’t enjoy the pool as the water was very cold. Once you book a place to stay you should be able to get all the facilities that are advertised but in this case we were let down.

The most beautiful modern home in Madeira. In the perfect location: close drive to the beach and restaurants and peaceful surroundings. Views from every room even the carport has windows; you drive in to park with a view of the sunset. We were blown away with the home and how big it was. We wish we stayed longer. You need at least a week to really relax and enjoy the beautiful island. The company really knows how to manage this come and is super professional and helpful. Thank you

Really amazing! It is even better then on the pictures. The house was clean upon arrival and the check-in proces was very easy. The view from the garden is stunning and with a 5 to 10 minute drive there are lots of restaurants at the beach with a great view. I would recommend this house to everyone!

The house is much like the description. It is equipped with modern appliances. House & property is well maintained. Pool area is very nice. Plenty of room to park 3 small cars, if needed, with security entry gate for the driveway. Located in quiet neighborhood. Close to local towns with restaurants and activities. About 30 minute drive from Funchal. And again, beautiful views from several areas of the house.

What a breathtaking view from this amazing place🤩. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to enjoy a high quality stay that feels just like home. 😍 the instructions to get in was super easy also the space was very clean and matching the exact same pictures provided. Die Unterkunft ist sehr großzügig und schön eingerichtet. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet und man kann direkt von Haus aus in einige Wanderungen starten.
Leider ist der Pool nicht auf Anfrage für einzelne Tage beheizbar, wie es im Inserat steht, sondern wenn dann nur 48 Stunden vor der Anreise für den gesamten Zeitraum. Das ist sehr schade.
Generell war die Kommunikation sowohl zur Anreise als auch während unseren Aufenthaltes mit dem Gastgeber schwierig und langsam.

We had an excellent vacations at this villa. Everything was as described, great view, cosy rooms, well equipped kitchen... I specially appreciate that there was coffe, tea, sugar, everything what you need for fresh start of the day and also some oil, vinegar, salt, pepper and other spices, just what you need to prepare your meal.
Location was great to explore the islan but in very nice and quiet surroundings with beautiful view over the ocean. If I'll ever come back on Madeira I will certainly stay again in this villa.

Amazing stay at this beautiful villa! We were 4 adults and two toddlers who stayed for 10 days and definitely wish we had more time. The property looks exactly like the photos and everything was clean and ready for our arrival including children's beds and chairs. Kitchens are fully equipped with everything you need to cook for the family and enjoy a meal on the outdoor pool terrace. With young children it was great to have the pool on a different level to ensure supervision. A quick drive into Ribeira Brava or Ponta do Sol for restaurants or the larger supermarket. Definitely need a car when staying here however I believe this would be the case anywhere you stay if you plan to visit more of the island. Great central location, nothing was too far for a day trip. The views from the villa are incredible and we hope to be back next year!

Great place. Beautiful views, fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. Very clean. The pool was great. We’ve had a lot of fun.

This is a new, beautiful home perched far above the sea. It really was a restful spot to relax, with tastefully appointed rooms and a well stocked kitchen with new appliances. The only downside is it is up a set of very steel hills, so make sure you have a car and be prepared to drive everywhere.

Dmitry was very friendly in getting us checked in. The location of the house will require renting a car in order get to restaurants and groceries. Note to not rely on gps maps because it is not accurate and will require some maneuvering around. We were informed late evening after we checked-in that the landscaper and pool needed maintenance the next morning. We did not have privacy all day on Saturday and we opted to go out on Sunday morning because they had to complete the pool pump repairs on Sunday. We specifically picked this house because of the pool option but lost two days out of our four day stay (not very happy). There were issues with the bathtub leaking, so we avoided using it. The clothes washer in the laundry room had water leaks and we also avoided using it. Wi-Fi signal is not the best on the third floor bedrooms. Overall a beautiful house, located in a quiet location with great views for those seeking 3 bedrooms with 2 full baths + half bath options.

We apologise for the inconvenience caused by the technical intervention of the pool, it was due to an anomaly detected and the intervention to be made immediately so that the problem does not increase.
