AREA
Accommodation in a building located in the city centre of Funchal. From this building, you can visit the main points of interest in the capital of Madeira Island on foot. It is close to restaurants, the Farmers' Market, Funchal Cathedral, the Municipal Garden, the Municipal Theatre, Funchal Marina, shopping centres, supermarkets, bars and museums.
In the city centre there is plenty of information on all kinds of activities you can do during your holiday: cultural activities, extreme activities, nature activities... whatever the purpose of your visit to Madeira Island!
GETTING AROUND
The best option to get to the property will be the transfer. Ask us to book one with our local partners. It is cheaper than the taxis you find at the airport.
If you rent a car, any navigation app can easily find the address.
There are bus stops near the flat.
ACCESS TO PROPERTY
You have access to all areas of the property.
INTERACTION
We are always available to help or answer questions. We do our best to reply all requests. We also have an app for guests with all the important information about the property and other useful information for your stay.
OTHER OBSERVATIONS
- According to Portuguese law, all guests are required to present a valid ID. (passport or identity card).
- Check-in hour must be scheduled in advance. If it is not scheduled within a maximum of 48 hours before, guests will be subject to the availability of our team.
- All bed linen and towels are provided. We can also put a baby cot, a high chair and a baby bath if needed, but you should request. There are a first aid kit, extinguishers and fire blanket in the property.
ATTENTION
Please be advised that a Tourist Fee will be charged to all persons staying overnight in the municipality of Funchal. Thus, all customers staying in tourist resorts and/or accommodation establishments, aged 13 or over, will be charged €2.00 per person/night, up to a maximum of 7 nights and a maximum of €14.00 per person/stay. When you arrive, you will receive a link to pay this municipal tax.

Cancelation policy
Free cancellation up to 14 days before check-in. If the reservation is made less than 14 days before check-in, the cancellation is free up to 48 hours after the reservation, up to a maximum of 5 days before check-in.
After that, guests may cancel up to 5 days prior to check-in and receive a refund of the price per night and the cleaning fee, but not of the service fee.

Location for a stay in Funchal. We knew the location as we stayed in the Turim Santa Maria hotel in October 2023. Everything you need is there. Clean towels and linen every 5 days. Plenty of cooking utensils and saucepans which were needed as we were mainly self catering. Local supermarket was only 10 minutes away. Plenty of local restaurants. Sadly no view from the window.
Communication with An island apart was excellent and very helpful.
I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone wanting to stay in Funchal.

Mimořádně hlučné - z různých důvodů. Umístění sice ve vedlejší ulici, ale blízko jedné z hlavních tříd - velký hluk z hlavní třídy dlouho do noci a od brzkého rána. Horší byl ovšem hluk způsobený našlapováním na dřevěnou v apartmánu a především hluk, který vydávala pravděpodobně zcela zničená, zřejmě rozlámaná pružinová matrace. Sebemenší pohyb jednoho z nás znamenal probuzení obou. Pobyt v apartmánu se tak díky hluku rovnal několika probdělým hodinám každou noc a opravdu velké únavě na jeho konci. Je třeba také počítat s tím, že fotografická prezentace ubytování je poněkud matoucí. Pokud byste měli dojem, že součástí je minimálně společná terasa, mýlíte se. Náš apartmán (patro 2, byt E) neměl ani malý balkón a výhled byl přes ulici na zcela vyhořelou budovu. Příjemný nebyl ani zatuchlý odér vycházející z gauče. Hostitelům jsem tyto výhrady napsala již před několika týdny, dosud bez reakce. Ráda bych věřila, že reakcí byla alespoň výměna matrace...

Za nepříjemný zápach a hlučnost se upřímně omlouváme. Tato zpětná vazba nám pomáhá identifikovat oblasti, které vyžadují zlepšení, a podnikneme nezbytné kroky k nápravě. Stav matrace je již nahlášen a prověříme rovněž, zda je potřeba aktualizovat prezentaci apartmánu, aby byla pro budoucí hosty jasnější.
Je nám líto, že jste na svou předchozí zprávu nedostala odpověď. Omlouváme se za toto opomenutí. Rádi bychom Vás ujistili, že na Vaší zpětné vazbě záleží a že se snažíme co nejrychleji zlepšit naše služby.
