Quiet neighborhood that is notably separate from the hustle and bustle of Funchal. There is much greenery below the property before more structures exist which helps keep the surroundings quiet. The glass railings give relief from the winds and the hot tub is nicely positioned. There is covered lounging furniture for when the afternoon showers come which still allows you to sit outside. The glass railings were a bit dirty and the hot tub was not as warm as we prefer when we arrived. I brought this to the property managers attention and both items were immediately addressed.. there is no clothes dryer on property but the do provide clothes hangers which we used and worked okay. We could not find a means of producing ice on the property which we would have enjoyed. The home is very close to some wonderful restaurants and has an easy path to the main highway system. The beds were harder than we prefer but didn’t detract much from our stay. By far we enjoyed the great setting the pool and hot tub area produced. The views are fantastic… we looked forward to wine and sunset watching each evening.

The villa is incredibly beautiful and spacious, offering stunning ocean views from every room, the terrace, jacuzzi, and pool. It had everything needed for a comfortable stay—we never felt like anything was missing. The host was very friendly and quick to respond to requests for help. For example, he came right away to assist us with setting up the jacuzzi as soon as we reached out.
The villa is located in a very peaceful area but is still close to the center of Funchal, a supermarket, a gas station, and other essential places. This isn’t our first time staying in this part of the city, and we highly recommend this host!

We had a lovely stay here. The bedrooms were great, lovely open plan living space and the kitchen was well equipped. The surrounding views were picturesque and it felt very private with the well placed trees. A short up-would hike to a stunning view point over Funchal. And a relatively walkable trip down the hill with various restaurants. We ordered food through Uber eats when we arrived. The only thing I would mention, the listing says the parking can fit 2 small cars. It’s a struggle to fit 2 medium cars, but the host was very helpful and advised us of an alternative solution. Would definitely come back here and recommend!

Such a stunning place! The pool and outdoor area was incredible, the views could not be better. Everything was clean and comfortable and the management was responsive and helpful. Being that it was only a 10 minute drive into the city, you probably wouldn’t need to rent a car, we used the Bolt ride service and we were able to get around everywhere that way despite having rented a car. Everything was great, we would come back again!

Det har en fantastisk udsigt og skønt poolområde. Det er et stille kvarter. Nemt at checke ind og ud. Skønt hus selv om det virkeligt trænger til renovering. Det er ret slidt. Køkkenskabe og skabe på badeværelser er i virkeligt dårlig stand. Køleskabet er ødelagt og låger hænger/skraber på i mange skabe. To værelser er kun adskilt af en tynd dør. Et værelse har intet vindue der kan åbnes og heller ikke terrassedør så man kan ikke lufte ud. Poolen har en del skader på fliser og grøn belægning flere steder. Der er ikke wifi på første salen hvor alle værelser er placeret så man kan ikke komme på nettet - kæmpe minus.

Locatie, fantastisch zwembad en de ruimte in en om de woning Vaatwasser functioneerde niet altijd. Helaas konden we pas om 19.00 in de woning. Dat was lastig met kleine kinderen (0, 4 en 5 jaar).

Wir sind im gross und ganzen sehr zufrieden. Wir haben lediglich Schaufel und Besen oder einen Staubsauger der funktioniert vermisst. Kleiderwaschmaschine konnten wir ebenfalls nicht finden. Die Kommunikation mit dem Host war sehr unkompliziert und hat schnell reagiert.

My family & I stayed here for 5 nights & absolutely loved it. The house is STUNNING. The views & pool are BREATHTAKING. The house is spacious & comfortable. Check in was frustrating. I requested early check in but my host reached out to me & told me that check in was at 6pm rather than 4pm as listed & then didn't repond to me for over a day. Any time I messaged on the Airbnb app to the company, they were helpful & responsive, it is just a shame that the host was slow to repond. When we did come to check in the host was an hour late & rushed to leave rather than talk us through the property. We had questions about the hot tub and pool but she wasn't able to answer. We were missing hand towels & bath mats, but after texting, this was resolved within 24 hours. Similarly we text to ask how to warm the hot tub & that was solved in 24 hours. I definitely recommend staying here - you will not regret it. Service could do with improvement but the house is worth it! Definitely book Sky Villa!

Vue époustouflante.Villa très confortable ,spacieuse ,tres bien équipée.5 salles de bain et eau (2 d’entre elles non rattachées à l’étage chambre ). Overall, great villa for the price we paid and would revisit.
Views are amazing. Outside area and downstairs were great for family to spend time together. Upstairs the rooms had enough space for us to feel like we had our own space in each of the 5 rooms. An Island Apart were responsive when we needed them. Very quiet and felt like home. Usually easy enough to get taxi to busier areas. Can also get food delivered easily if you want to eat in (or stock up on items).
Overall, definitely represented value for money for us and was a great place to stay. Area around the golden bathroom needs improved as some paint peeling due to what looks like damp, the room itself also often had a damp smell. Would recommend more towels/bedding available particularly for longer stays.
Take bug spray! Don't think this was specific to the villa but we were eaten alive by bugs, apparently has become more of a problem in Madeira in recent year or two.

Amazing place. The view is stunning and the pool and jacuzzi are the cherry on top. Nice area, quiet and peaceful. Not too far from the centre. Couple of fast food options very close (burger king/mcdonalds). Overall, great place to stay and hosts were very helpful.

This villa is exactly as it appears in the photographs. Our family group, ranging in age from 14 to 84, thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
We hired a car and travelled a bit around the island but could revisit and do lots more. It was difficult to tear ourselves away from the poolside terrace with such a spectacular view.
It was easy and reasonably priced to get a Bolt taxi to and from Funchal and there were lots of options on Uber Eats when we just wanted to stay in the villa.
We would absolutely recommend the beautiful island of Madeira and this lovely villa for a family holiday. We would love to return one day.

We had an amazing stay at Sky Villa. We were 5 adults staying for 1 week in late May/June. The property is beautiful and the home is well appointed for a vacation. The pool overlooking the ocean is the perfect spot to relax and take in a spectacular view. Our host was extremely responsive. We had an issue getting the hot tub hot and I reached out to the host and they responded almost immediately. They sent Fernando over to fix it and he was able to get it up and running. Check in and Check out was seamless. We slept great in the beds and the balconies on the bedrooms were perfect for early morning cups of coffee and views. We loved our stay here and would definitely return.

The views from the Sky Villa were amazing, with gorgeous sights of the ocean and coastline below. The home accommodated our family nicely, and we loved spending time in the pool and hot tub. It also had all the facilities we needed, with a full-featured kitchen and washing machine (no dryer though).
The home missed the mark when it came to bedding — I expect a luxury villa to have luxury mattresses/bedding, but it was all IKEA and quite uncomfortable (particularly the pillows). Additionally, one of the bedrooms is an old entryway that has been converted, so you have a door directly to the front porch right alongside the bed.
The location is a bit obscure, though that’s to be expected in order to be up above it all, so a drive into Funchal takes approx 20 minutes.

This place was a disappointment! If you have high standards or expect a luxury home, you will not be happy here. Pros: 1. We were given an early (self) check in. 2. Great views for sunset. 3. Kitchen well-equipped. Cons: 1. Carpet in bedroom dirty and badly stained. Photos misleading. 2. "Pink" bathroom has a foul odor and is very dated. Perhaps mold (no window and fan doesn't work) or canalization? Either way, we couldn't use it because the smell was so bad. 3. Bedding smelled bad - mildew and strong fragrance 4. Poor quality towels and sheets. Comparable to lowest level budget hotel. 5. No machine clothes dryer. 6. Not secure. "Lock" on door to enter property was a joke because you can just reach around door and unlock it from outside. 7. Upstairs is dated - needs renovation. 8. Staircase is a major hazard - Anyone taller than 6 feet will hit head. 9. Communication was uneven - at times company not responsive. They said someone would come out to check out bathroom but no one did.

Vi koste oss veldig. Oppvarmet basseng, romslig kjøkken og gode senger. Sol fra 8 om morgenen til 18 om kvelden på terrassen/bassenget. Området er rolig. 5 min gange til lokalt bakeri og 10 min til stor dagligvarebutikk. Ligger på en høyde, så litt bratt bakke opp til husene var det, men det må man jo regne med med den fantastiske utsikten som er der 🙌

Don’t hesitate just book this place. Taxi in to Funchal, this is the most amazing place to stay, like a paradise out of the hustle and bustle of the city. 10 minute walk downhill to Mac Donald’s and a KFC and a great little supermarket (takes a bit longer to walk back up though!!) home delivery also available from MDs. Taxis were happy to stop at supermarkets enroute back to villa. Local taxi firm recommended by the villa were fantastic and their tours were fab and cheaper than most. Jacuzzi super hot and the pool a lovely temperature, sunset amazing from the patio. Loved it.

Beautiful apartment, I would recommend it unconditionally. Only one bathroom ("the golden one") could be renewed soon. The absolute highlight is the view, especially when you sit in the whirlpool and watch the sunset.

A home for the whole family, 10 people can stay in comfort.
House with a beautiful view and a large heated pool.
The jacuzzi bath was a pleasant surprise.
Nice furniture and kitchen fully equipped.
No air conditioning (you can feel the dampness in the house).
Parking spaces for one car.
Plaster to be improved in the rooms (paint is coming off due to dampness).
In the pool, individual tiles are falling off - also to be improved.
Laundry room - very dirty and messy. Should be cleaned up or not available to renters.

this is a beautiful villa, the hill up to it is very steep so you will need to rent a car or use a taxi to get around. You will not be able to walk up and down the hill, the road is narrow and cars come and down.
The villa provides fans which go on for 120minutes, these fans are not adequate to cool the villa down. It should really have air conditioning. The villa is well stocked but there were cockroaches and ants in the kitchen
The drain in the black bathroom was very smelly indicating a blockage. The water sprayed all over the floor making it very dangerous to walk on post showering.
There really should be a screen fitted at the shower to keep the water in .
The swimming pool is amazing though and the view is glorious .

Lovely villa with great features and amazing views. Those views do come with a small downside of being further out of town and higher up the hill but they are worth it! Everything was clean and well presented. Rooms are bright and airy, balconies were shaded and comfy spots to sit outdoors and the pool and hot tub were put to great use.

We had a fantastic stay. The home was in a beautiful location and large enough for us all to be comfortable. It’s up a steep hill, so walking into town requires some work, but it gave us incredible views. Everyone in our group liked using the waterfall shower overlooking the ocean. We had a few questions during our stay and they responded very quickly.

Location and views over the water were stunning. Pool temperature and relaxing areas were very spacious and private. Morning sunrise and sunsets were spectacular. Support staff were excellent and quick to respond to requests. Ants were a problem within the kitchen area. All items of food had to be stored in the fridge as there weren't any containers for storage. Remember to clean up with disinfectant straight after cooking.

A superb villa that lived up to the photos. Pool is the best we've ever had, heated and large, and the view is stunning, in the day, at sunset, and after with Funchal below and the surrounding hillsides lit up beautifully. Very quiet but within easy reach of restaurants, supermarkets and activities in Funchal. Our family of 7 have left with a week's worth of wonderful memories.

Wirklich ein wunderschönes Haus in perfekter Lage. An der ein oder anderen Stelle hätte das Haus etwas sauberer sein können. Besonders in den Bädern und auch das Geschirr ist nicht sauber gewesen. Tassen und Gläser mussten zunächst gespült werden. Eine der Duschen lief nicht richtig ab und die Spülmaschine ist undicht. Aber das sind alles wirklich sehr kleine Punkte im Vergleich zum Haus, der tollen Außenanlage, allgemein der Lage des Hauses und der Aussicht und auch der Ausstattung. Auch die Kommunikation war fantastisch. Vielen Dank für einen tollen Aufenthalt!!

The location is incredible, close to everything! The house has sun all day, we can watch the sun rise and the sun go down.
The house is incredible and the common spaces are great for family and friends get-togethers. The equipped kitchen and integrated into the living room give life to the house.
We were met in all our needs and we always had quick answers.

Widok jest genialny, pewnie jeden z najlepszych w Funchal. Parter budynku (salon i kuchnia) również na odpowiednim poziomie. Niestety sam budynek, a przede wszystkim jego część sypialniana (1 piętro) jest w dość słabym stanie - Wilgoć na ścianach, stare meble, etc. Zdecydowanie konieczny generalny remont. Byłem na Maderze po raz 4 i wiem, że za taką kwotę można wynająć domy o zdecydowanie wyższym standardzie. Załączone zdjęcia tylko z głównej sypialni.

Das Haus lässt fast keine Wünsche offen, die Lage ist ruhig und nicht zu weit vom alltäglichen Leben entfernt. Die Ausstattung ist gehoben und nicht verwohnt. Bei kleinen Problemen wurde uns zügig geholfen. Wir waren mit 9 Erwachsenen für 10 Tage hier und haben die Zeit sehr genossen.

The bedroom layout wasn’t suited to us and was of the understanding that all rooms had an en-suite which isn’t the case. The fifth bedroom is a converted entrance to the front door and doesn’t have a window to open.
The pool was amazing - the whole family enjoyed it , especially with the spectacular view but we did find that the quantities of chemicals used wasn’t accurate as there was discolouration of hair, clothes and inflatables - tinged green!
Even with these hiccups, we all had a fab time and found the island of Madeira utterly beautiful .

We had to check-in online (with every single information possible about every guest) , then send the picture of the passport (which is not legal), then we had to be at the villa all the same moment so that they check the passport. Even if the villa was empty the day before or after they wanted to charge us more if we arrive earlier or later.

Hello Romain, guests are obbligated by law to show their passports at the check-in even if they have already filled-in a previous form. We actually need to confirm that it's really you and that all the data is correct. Since you weren't all arriving at the same time we have asked you to send it during the following days. We have emailed you, texted you, called you and no answer was given. So on the last day we went to the house directly and you were quite rude with our coworker. There was no need for that if you had just showed the requested identification on the first place. Regarding an early check-in and late check-out, as you can see on our house rules there is a check-in time at 16h and a check-out time at 10h. Earlier or later than that there is an extra fee. No need to complaint, it's a common practice. But let's be fair, you were using two houses and checked-in earlier on both of them just paying one early check-in. It was nice from us! On top of that you have left the house a complete mess. We had to buy new pans and lots of glasses. It was a hell of a party!

Liked the overall space in the property and the view is superb Seemed to have some plumbing issues, particularly with drainage in the main shower. Had to call someone in on two occasions to look at plumbing and the induction cooker is hopeless.

Excepcional!! Todos nós adoramos a casa, um sonho. Bem localizada, zona calma e com uma vista maravilhosa e por-do-sol de cortar a respiração. Com uma decoração perfeita e quartos espaçosos, limpa e com tudo o que necessita pra ter as melhores férias de sempre. E um muito obrigado aos hosts por me terem permitido festejar os meus 30 anos com amigos e familia e passar o melhor tempo possivel. Recomendo a 100% e quero voltar :)

Spacious rooms, bathrooms and pool. We stayed there with six guys during our mountainbiking trip and couldn't be happier: 5 individual sleeping room, huge couch to watch our GoPro-Videos on the large TV, modern kitchen, BBQ, huge pool, and most importantly, the view!! The accomodation couldn't not have been better!

The villa was absolutely amazing, brilliant space, fantastic pool and terrace, bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and modern. The views were stunning but a car is highly recommended as the hills are pretty steep!

The villa is amazing we absolutely loved our stay we stay at great quality villas as a family group often and we actually booked this one last minute because the original one wasn't child safe even though it listed as one, when we arrived the host (João) was very helpful full of information and really welcoming couldn't have been welcomed by a more hospitable host. The villa, it's location the amenities are perfect. Everything was so perfect our family of two 4 year olds and 6 adults stayed here with ample perfect tranquil space . Book without a doubt, you won't be disappointed.

The home is just as lovely as the photos! The view from the patios and the pool is even better in person! 7 adults and 1 toddler stayed here for 1 week. We had plenty of space to enjoy dinners together, hang on the patios, or sleep quietly in our own rooms. We came from Colorado for a week of mountain biking. We had plenty of space for our bikes, hoses to clean up gear at the end of the day, and a pool to swim in and relax by every evening. The sunsets are amazing! We grilled out for dinners almost every night because we didn't want to leave the house! We liked being away from the noise and bustle of town, but were a mere 10 min drive or 10 euro taxi to town when we wanted to go out. Nice touches, like pool floats and charcoal for the grill. Great communication from management. Very safe and quiet neighborhood (although we all used white noise machines to block out a barking dog on a few nights....) :) It's a TEN of a vacation house, we would certainly stay there again!

The villa is as seen on the photos ! What a view, the pool is fantastic we stayed in it for hours. The rooms clean and great. The one bathroom with the big window towards the coast what a view during a shower. The living room and kitchen in front of the pool perfect ! We were 4 adults and two children and had enough space to retreat. We will come back !
