Das "Varandas do Funchal" ist eine freundliche und einladende Wohnung mit Zugang zu einem angenehmen Schwimmbad.
Hier sind Sie ganz nah am Zentrum von Funchal! Die Lage ermöglicht es Ihnen, zu Fuß zu den interessantesten Sehenswürdigkeiten der Stadt zu gehen.
Diese Wohnung bietet Platz für insgesamt vier Personen, zwei in einem Zimmer mit einem Doppelbett und zwei auf einem Schlafsofa im Wohnzimmer. In den Gemeinschaftsräumen des Gebäudes finden Sie einen Swimmingpool, der von der Wohnanlage gemeinsam genutzt wird, wo Sie das gute Wetter genießen und sich in Gesellschaft von Freunden und Familie sonnen können!
Wenn Sie ein Auto mieten möchten, verfügt das Gebäude über eine Garage, in der Sie parken können.
Das Haus ist komplett mit allen Annehmlichkeiten ausgestattet.

DIE UMGEBUNG ÜBERBLICK
In der Nähe gibt es mehrere Cafés. Die meisten Geschäfte, Einkaufszentren und Supermärkte sind in zehn Minuten zu Fuß zu erreichen.
Diese Wohnung liegt in der Nähe des Bauernmarktes, der Altstadt von Funchal und der Kathedrale. Von hier aus können Sie zu Fuß die verschiedenen Sehenswürdigkeiten unserer schönen Stadt erkunden. (z.B. Seilbahn, Jachthafen Funchal, CR7 Museum, Madeira Wine Lodge, etc ...)

ANREISE
Für Abflüge und Ankünfte vom Flughafen ist der Transfer die beste Option, um zur Wohnung zu gelangen. Kontaktieren Sie uns im Voraus, um einen privaten Transfer mit unseren lokalen Partnern zu vereinbaren. Es ist billiger als ein Taxi auf eigene Faust am Flughafen zu nehmen!
Es gibt Bushaltestellen in der Nähe, um Sie ins Zentrum von Funchal zu bringen.

Für alle Gäste, die in Ferienanlagen und/oder Unterkünften übernachten und mindestens 13 Jahre alt sind, wird eine Gebühr von 2,00 € pro Person/Nacht erhoben, bis zu einem Maximum von 7 Nächten und einem Maximum von 14,00 € pro Person/Aufenthalt. We stayed here for a week and it was lovely. The hosts were helpful and responsive and the apartment was pretty much as described. Some small issues with the apartment that have been described in previous reviews, but honestly it didn’t really bother us that much! We stayed here for our honeymoon in Madeira and the hosts were very sweet. Just prepare yourselves for the hill that leads up to the apartment from the town centre! Swimming pool was lovely too, almost always quiet and lovely to chill next to. Thank you!

Super Aufenthalt! Die Verwaltung war fix und unkompliziert – falls mal was war, wurde es direkt geregelt. Der Pool? Perfekt zum Abschalten. Und die Lage hat echt gepasst: Alles Wichtige, ob Shops oder Verkehrsanbindungen, waren easy zu Fuß erreichbar. Kann man auf jeden Fall empfehlen!

Die Wohnung top ausgestattet. Wir hatten einen Pool und Meerblick. Leider auch eine Baustelle vor der Tür, aber es war in der Gegend immer noch überraschend ruhig. Die Möbel sind etwas älter, aber okay. Was nicht okay war, war das Personal für den Check-in. Die abgemachte Zeit zur Schlüsselübergabe wurde nicht ansatzweise eingehalten. Statt um 18 Uhr, kamen wir erst um 19.20 Uhr in die Wohnung. Statt gesagt wurde, dass es noch mindestens eine Stunde dauert, bekamen wir die Info, dass er noch einen anderen Check In macht und dann sofort kommt. Ich bezweifle, dass es nur einer war. Die Kommunikation war schlecht. Auch bei der Zentrale, nur Ausreden, obwohl ich nette Verbesserungsvorschläge gab, wie z.B. Schlüsselsysteme einzurichten um Personal zu entlasten. Leider hat es den Aufenthalt versaut. Auch die zig Formulare zum Ausfüllen davor und danach. Ein entspannter Urlaub war es nicht.

Alles was prima verzorgd. zelfs koffie en thee was er, toiletpapier, voldoende handdoeken.

Prima uitvalsbasis! Wel steile heuvel terug vanuit dorp...

Alleen het balkon was s middags en 's avonds NIET in de zon. Dat vonden wij jammer.

Wat er ontbrak: comfortabele stoelen op balkon. En thee/keukendoeken om zelf af te wassen. (We gebruikten de afwasmachine niet, want maar met 2.).

Al met al, heerlijk verblijf in centrum Funchal! Lekker zwembad ook. Dank!

Goed verblijf, op loopafstand van het centrum. Wel steile weg op laatste stukje, maar dat is een mooie workout tijdens de vakantie. Fijne parkeerplek in de garage.
Goed uitgerust appartement.
Enige nadeel is de grote bouwplaats aan de zwembadzijde, dat wisten we niet van tevoren. Er is best wat overlast van in geluid.
Verder een perfecte uitvalsbasis om Funchal en heel Madeira te ontdekken.

В цілому для довгого проживання комфортно, бо є все що потрібно і є місце куди можна розкласти речі. Великий плюс що є свій критий паркінг за який не треба перейматись. Місцеположення дуже комфортне, поблизу є кафе і магазин. Чиста і нова постіль з рушниками )
Із мінусів це те що наприклад диван дуже затертий і в плямах, ну і в цілому на стінах є пятна, на фото виглядає краще ніж в житті, тому мені здалось що ціна б мала бути менше за такі апартаменти.
І ще дуже шумно , бо чутно як заходять сусіди кожен раз , і ще була там собака яка чомусь гавкала як ненормальна всю ніч, але це слава Богу було в першу ніч, в інші дні ми були настільки змучені що спали як вбиті тому можливо і не чули

The location is excellent
The property is in a very poor condition. An electrical socket was hanging out of the wall when we arrived and we had no hot water for two days. Much of the paintwork on the walls and doors is very badly worn and chipped. Some of the bottom of the bathroom door is missing. The toilet cistern makes a very loud whistling noise when filling. The hair drier sounded terrible and smelt of burning. The floor in the lounge area has lifted dangerously in places. There appeared to be blood stains on the bedroom wall (? from swatted mosquitos)The bedroom is much too cramped for the bed, there being no proper side access. The cutlery in the kitchen is exceptionally uncomfortable to use. The shower temperature is unpredictable and very difficult to regulate. Potentially a nice apartment but needs investment and proper maintenance. There is no way that it currently justifies four stars.

After reading the reviews we were really positively surprised. Sure the apartment is not as brand new as it appears in the photos but with this price you can’t really expect that. The place was clean enough and the kitchen well equipped. Toaster was a bit broken but still we were able to use it. Garage was great and the location too. We were not disturbed by the construction work nearby. Bed was comfortable enough and the temperature was fine.
Toilet made an annoiying whistling sound after flushing. It was a little bit difficult to get hot water from the shower.

gefallen konnte uns wegen der Mängel nichts
Großbaustelle mit 10 Stunden Lärm auf dem Nachbargrundstück. Verschmutzte und abgewohnte Wohnung, Lärm nach 22 Uhr durch andere Bewohner. Auf Klage gegenüber der Agentur kamen nur Ausflüchte und Unterstellungen.

Dichtbij het centrum en parkeergarage
Het was vies. Overal mieren en super veel muggen. Moesten snel douchen ivm het warme water. In de slaapkamer was het 27 graden. Wil niet weten hoe warm het hier in de zomer is. Voor ons was bouw, naast ons werd een appartement gerenoveerd dus lawaai van 8.00-19.00 uur.. het zwembad was vies. Het is een flat met 90% bewoners en 10% vakantiegangers. Wij hadden dit niet verwacht dus er was totaal geen gezelligheid. Bewoners laten hun honden uit in de tuinen.. bij het doorspoelen van de wc komt er een super hoge piep. Je moet een een erg steile heuvel omhoog lopen.. laten we zeggen dat dit met een kinderwagen niet fijn is.

Erg jammer. Op de foto’s lijkt het allemaal erg luxe maar de foto’s doen anders lijken. We konden de parkeerplek niet vinden, deze stond anders aangegeven. Gelukkig konden we ons contactpersoon bereiken en stond hij ons op te wachten. We werden fijn geholpen met de koffers dus dat was allemaal prima.

We kwamen hier om nog een paar daagjes te relaxen maar helaas is dat niet gelukt.

Wij willen u eraan herinneren dat, in tegenstelling tot een hotel, dat ook vrijetijdsactiviteiten aanbiedt, een vakantiehuis een meer onafhankelijke ervaring biedt. Bepaalde bijzonderheden, zoals nabijgelegen werken en de aanwezigheid van omwonenden, maken deel uit van de woonomgeving en kunnen de beleving op een andere manier beïnvloeden.
Wat betreft insecten zoals mieren en muggen begrijpen wij dat deze voor ongemak kunnen zorgen. Vanwege het subtropische klimaat van het eiland Madeira maken insecten van nature deel uit van het lokale ecosysteem, en ondanks onze voortdurende inspanningen om de besmetting te bestrijden, kan hun aanwezigheid af en toe voorkomen.

Wij waarderen uw opmerking over de garage en de steun van onze contactpersoon, die op alle mogelijke manieren probeerde te helpen. Het spijt ons dat uw verblijf niet zo ontspannend was als verwacht en we hopen dit te verbeteren op basis van uw feedback.

Only the location and the garage.
The property is very very used. The bed and the sofa were uncomfortable. The apartment was full of mosquitos not only in the air also bloody spots everywhere on the walls. The floor and the walls were also dirty. The walls are thin so you can enjoy the sounds of the neighbors. Next to the property a buliding is under construction that is why the place is noisy from 8 am until 6 pm.

Grazie per la tua recensione. Siamo felici che tu abbia apprezzato la posizione del nostro appartamento e le strutture offerte come la piscina. Siamo dispiaciuti di sentire che l'appartamento era più piccolo di quanto ti aspettassi e che hai riscontrato problemi con le zanzare. The apartment has plenty of room for a couple. The bed was very comfortable. It has free parking spot, a pool, full equipped kitchen and lot of other facilities.
You need to go a bit uphill when you go back from Funchal but it is Madeira.

Locatie en rust
Mieren in keuken en ook in bed, overal platgeslagen muggen, vieze gordijnen en vieze kussentjes op de stoelen, hele smalle slaapkamer zodat je vanuit het voeteind het bed in moest kruipen. Late checkout niet mogelijk terwijl we vanaf 12 u buiten hebben gezeten met onze koffers en om 15.30 uur nog niemand zagen om het appartement schoon te maken…. Latere checkout had dus gewoon gekund!!

About the late check-out, we didn't any request from you and actually wasn't possible because the next guests checked-in at 18:00 and the cleaners arrived to clean at 16:00. Usually, when you have check-in in the same day than the check-out, the late check-out it's not available.

We hope that despite these problems, we can welcome you again in the future. Thank you for taking the time to share your experiences with us.

As others have mentioned, the apartment is older and in poorer condition than the pictures lead you to believe. You would expect better condition, based on the pictures.
I would describe the condition of the apartment as "fair" or "OK" instead of "Good"/"Great";

Pluses:
+ It is with a good location; you can walk to city center of Funchal
+ Pool is nice
+ Cleaners came 3 times to change towels
+ Parking spot included
+ Kitchen (basic)
+ Laundry machine

Minuses:
- No smart-TV
- First floor, so ants & mosquitoes get in
- Neighbors have dogs that bark all the time (we kept the doors & windows open).
- Check-in instructions were not good; I had to contact property separately and call a person that did not speak english properly..
- Toilet makes high pitch sound after flushed
- Bedroom door handle is loose and makes a loud sound when opening the door (you will wake up your partner when going to toilet)
- General condition outdated (e.g moisture damage on the hallway floor)

The apartment is located in a quiet residential complex. At night there was no noise from the neighbors or from the city, ideal for those who want tranquility. The location with respect to the historic center is exceptional: in less than 10 minutes you can reach the seafront, but there is the advantage of having a private garage (parking in Funchal is difficult to find and requires a fee). Ground floor apartment, really spacious with a nice little terrace from which you can exit directly to the swimming pool. Gas cooker with a good supply of utensils and a washing machine that is very useful for washing clothes after the long walks in Madeira.

L'appartamento è situato in un complesso residenziale tranquillo. Di notte non si sentivano rumori nè dai vicini nè dalla città, ideale per chi vuole tranquillità. La posizione rispetto al centro storico è eccezionale: in meno di 10 minuti si raggiunge il lungomare, ma c'è il vantaggio di avere il garage privato (i parcheggi a Funchal sono difficili da trovare e a pagamento). Appartamento a piano terra, veramente spazioso con un bel terrazzino dal quale si esce direttamente in piscina. Cucina a gas con buona dotazione di utensili e lavatrice utilissima per lavare i vestiti dopo le lunghe camminate.

The apartment is overall OK but we were expecting way better for the pretty high price we paid: compared to the pics, the whole place needs a refresh (stains & yellow marks in the bathroom, traces on the walls), plus some equipments are really ancient like the fridge and washing machine, so we were surprised that with such a price charged per night they still did not replaced those by new ones.

When we came they were doing some maintenance for the building by painting the facade, so we were not able to use the balcony nor have a view on the pool since the whole place was covered with a construction curtain ; for that, I asked a discount when they notified us, which they gave me (10% of the price).

The living room and the bedroom are fine & feel pretty cosy ; the pool area is great, and there is a parking spot included in the rental, which is very very practical if you want to rent a car. The location is very good, really near from the center, juste next to the flower market!

When we arrived we were surprised to find that construction work was going on right in front of our balcony. They failed to inform us about the situation. We were therefore not able to use the balcony during our stay. However the team of an island apart handled the situation well. People at the office and supervisors were there for us to discuss this issue and so we got a discount on our booking.
All in all still a great place to stay, right in the center of funchal. The rest of the appartment was in good condition and furnished nicely. Also, the parking lot in the garage was very helpful.

It was nice to spend a week there. Everything needed was in the apartment. It was clean. Good location. Close to bus stop, also to that one where a bus from the airport stops. About 7minutes to the supermarket and 10minutes to the street with many cafes. The team was in contact in advance and provided their watsapp for communucation. The only problem was to go up from the main road. There are just a couple minutes to go up which is no problem for young people at all, but can be not that easy for seniors.

I enjoyed my stay in this lovely spacious apartment. The terrace gets sun in the morning. There was a funny, curious cat roaming the garden that made breakfast entertaining. I didn't get into the pool as I found it too cold but it was very well maintained and clean. The bed was very comfortable, kitchen had all the common appliances. The apartment is a 10 min walk from the city center and supermarkets.
I would highly recommend this apartment.
The fridge makes a loud sound periodically but easy to ignore. Regarding the leakage in the shower, this is because there's a small slit between the glass screen and the bathtub and I fixed it by sliding a towel into the slit. No more water on the floor! The apartment is located on a steel hill, so may not be ideal for those who find it difficult to walk up hills but shouldn't be a problem if you have a car. There's a garage as well.

l’amabilité du personnel
la propreté de l’appartement , sa fonctionnalité, et sa localisation . le calme de la résidence , la piscine était également propre. une place de parking en intérieur .
En 10minutes à pied on est dans le centre historique avec les restaurants et tout , et aussi de la côte , donc vraiment nickel comme emplacement .( attention à la côte avant de rentrer , elle est raide , très raide , mais ça fait du bien après des bons repas).
je n’ai pas mis 10 pour deux petites raisons , l’eau chaude sautée de temps en temps et on devait attendre un petit moment avant d’en récupérer , mais on a quand même pu toujours se laver à l’eau chaude donc rien de bien méchant , et juste la literie qui pour ma part n’était pas hyper confortable mais ça allait quand même , on est pas sur une planche non plus , rassurez vous .

Manager is a pro, good instructions, responsive. Good location for city access. Assigned garage parking is a big bonus. Liked the lush green yard behind the kitchen window. Well equipped kitchen. Lovely patio and nice views from it.
Plastic tea kettle - come on :-) That steep climb on the last stretch will be for fit people. Instant hot water heater was unpredictable, showers were hardly warm. Bedroom is pretty small but we knew it before we booked.

My family enjoyed a fantastic week in Madeira and were all extremely happy with the apartment. Not only is it a great size, easily accommodating the four of us, it was also in a great location within minutes of the centre of Funchal, a large supermarket as well as the old market, cable car ride and the sea/marina front. Many fabulous restaurants were within a 15 minute walk. We hired a car for two days to tour around the island, and the provided car park spot was ideal - literally one lift stop below the apartment, and easy access via a key controlled electric door. Overall we can all heartily recommend staying here - you will not be disappointed

O apartamento tem tudo o que é preciso, desde máquina de lavar roupa, de louça, máquina de café, secador de cabelo, estendal.
Tinha detergentes para as máquinas, para a alouça, café, sal, pimenta, azeite e vinagre.
A piscina é muito boa com água agradável, talvez com o máximo de 1,50m de altura.
Fica a 5m a pé do centro do Funchal, descendo a rua vamos ter ao famoso Mercado dos Lavradores. No regresso é a subir... umas escadinhas ou uma subida íngreme: bom para fazer exercício!
Cheguei com um pé magoado e um funcionário, um jovem muito simpático emprestou-me as suas canadianas/muletas e havia gelo no congelador!

Dat het zo dichtbij de binnenstad lag en het zwembad! Dat er een wasmachine was, was ook prettig! Er werd in de twee weken een tussenschoonmaak gedaan. Ook konden we eerder (tegen betaling) het appartement in en je hebt een gratis parkeerplek in de garage.
Het kon schoner: achter meubels was niet schoongemaakt. Het was een beetje smoezelig. Er miste ook een airco en salontafel.

très bien situé, tout est fonctionnel, très propre. Les filles ont adoré la petite attention de la femme de ménage qui a mis leurs doudous avec leurs pyjamas bien pliés sous leurs oreillers. A 10 minutes du centre historique de Funchal.
il faudrait juste penser à réparer le grand volet noir qui n’avait plus sa ficelle à notre arrivée et mettre la VMC dans la salle de bain mais à part ça rien à dire.

An sich nette 2-Zimmer Wohnung mit gut ausgestatteter Küche. 10 Minuten Fußweg bis zum Meer/ in die Stadt, viele Restaurants und Cafes in der Nähe. Der Mann, der uns empfangen hat war nett aber sehr in Eile. Der Kundenservice war freundlich. Praktisch ist auch der eigene Parkplatz in der Garage.

Es war sehr laut und hellhörig, neben uns hat eine Familie mit ständig schreiendem Baby gewohnt, weswegen wir und viele weitere Nachbarn nicht schlafen konnten. Die Außentüren des Gebäudekomplexes waren sehr schwer, sodass man auch davon aufgewacht ist, wenn eine davon zugefallen ist. Der Aufzug war defekt, der TÜV war schon einige Monate abgelaufen.

Während unseres Aufenthaltes (2 Monate) traten immer wieder Probleme auf: Das Wasser aus dem Pool wurde für längere Zeit wegen Problemen mit der Pumpe abgelassen. Insgesamt war dieser, wenn Wasser drin war, meist voller Blätter und toter Fliegen. In den ersten Tagen hatten wir kein warmes Wasser zum duschen, der Backofen wurde nicht richtig warm und die Toilette hat nicht mehr von selbst aufgehört zu spülen. Auf Nachfrage kam nach einigen Tagen jemand vorbei, danach hatten wir warmes Wasser und konnten den Ofen bedienen.

Ein mal pro Woche wurde die Wohnung geputzt, dafür bekamen wir eine Nachricht mit einem 5 Stunden Zeitfenster, während dem wir im Idealfall nicht in der Wohnung sein sollten. Leider war die Reinigung nicht sehr gründlich, alles wurde nur oberflächlich abgewischt. Für einen kürzeren Aufenthalt kein Problem, doch innerhalb der 2 Monate hätten wir uns insbesondere im Bad eine gründlichere Reinigung gewünscht. Laut Inserat sollten Verbrauchsartikel nachgefüllt werden - Das war allerdings nicht der Fall.

Insgesamt war der Kundenservice zwar bemüht, brauchte aber recht lange zum antworten. So hatten wir z.B. mehrfach um andere Kissen gebeten, da eines davon super riesig war und wir ständig Nackenschmerzen hatten. Nach der Zusage, die Kissen auszutauschen, hat es noch zwei Wochen gedauert bis die Kissen getauscht wurden.

Obwohl uns Wohnung und Lage prinzipiell gefallen haben, hat für uns hat das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis leider nicht gestimmt. Verglichen mit der Wohnung die wir in Funchal vorher hatten und der Wohnung unserer Nachbarn, die 3 mal so groß war und nur halb so viel kostet, war die Unterkunft wirklich zu teuer. Die vielen kleinen Ärgernisse haben sich summiert, sodass wir die Wohnung (zumindest für längere Aufenthalte) leider nicht weiter empfehlen können.

wij hebben hier een maand verbleven, was een top vakantie. enige minpuntjes, het zwembad was kapot, dus daar konden we jammer genoeg geengebruik van maken (hebben wel een compensatie gekregen maar bleef toch jammer) en dan......... die berg omhoog, niet te doen. we waren telkens kapot als we boven waren.Prachtige ligging maar een hel om er te geraken. als je iets ouder bent zou ik toch twee keer nadenken. voor de rest kan je over kleine prullen zagen, maar daar heb ik geen behoefte aan, vriendelijke groeten Maria

The apartment was a super solution to our stay in Madeira.
A very quite and safe area, in the same time super close to the Funchal cafe&bars area, as well as to the harbor / walking distance!
We felt there as in our own home - all utensils to our use, cute little balcony for breakfasts & dinners with a pool view :)
Our IslandApart contact person was super responsive, kind and helpful.
We could count on him with no issue - everything was explained very well & we were well taken care of.
Garage included makes it all easy - it's better to rent a car if you wish to really see everything that Madeira has in store for adventure lovers.
To sum up: We recommend IslandApart very much, and this place even more :)

Die Wohnung ist schon etwas abgenutzt, aber bietet alles was man brauch. Der Standort ist super (auch wenn der Weg nach oben nach einem Abendessen durchaus anstrengend ist) und der Parkplatz Gold wert. Insgesamt also ein gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis und ein guter Aufenthalt.

Ein paar Dinge waren leider schon etwas kaputt und am Anfang hatten wir Probleme mit dem warmen Wasser, hierauf wurde allerdings schnell geantwortet und auch Hilfe geschickt. Ein Staubsauger wäre auch hilfreich gewesen. Die Waschmaschine war sehr praktisch. Mit den Mücken muss man sich arrangieren ;)

Während unseres Aufenthalts wurde auch einmal sauber gemacht, hierüber wurden wir vorher nicht informiert. Nach der ersten Schrecksekunde haben wir uns aber über die Sauberkeit und neuen Handtücher gefreut.

Insgesamt war es ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt. Es war alles vorhanden und wir haben gut geschlafen.
Die Wohnung hat einen, wie wir finden, sehr guten Standort und es war relativ leise.

Was uns gestört hat war, das die beiden Stühle auf dem Balkon, insofern kaputt waren, das die Sitzflächen nicht mehr gehalten haben und die Stühle hin und wieder zusammen gebrochen sind.

Der Fußboden/Laminat kam an einigen Stellen hoch, sodass man barfuß aufpassen musste, sich nicht zu verletzen.
An der Balkon Schiebetür hat es sehr geschliffen und das öffnen der Tür erschwert.

Leider gab es keinen Staubsauger, das man mal den Sand vom Strand oder Staub hätte wegmachen können.
Es wurde aber nach einer Woche einmal vom Anbieter während unserer Abwesenheit und unserem Wissen gereinigt (eine Info das jemand das Appartement während unserer Abwesenheit betritt wäre wünschenswert gewesen).

Ein von zwei Sichtrollos war demontiert und ein von zwei Verdunkelungsrollos hing nur noch an einer Schraube.
Aber man sagte uns das diese Dinge nach unserem Aufenthalt Instand gesetzt werden.

All in all ist das Appartement o.k., aber an der einen oder anderen Stelle verbesserungsfähig.

The apartment is a good size, the kitchen is fully equipped. The people who live there are very friendly, we had nice chat every evening in the pool. Water is always clean in pool.

Kitchen was really well equipped and bathroom (with a bath) was really nice.
Cats were not a problem as long as you remember to close terrace doors.
The bedroom could get stuffy because was small but we felt it only once when door and windows were closed.

Finding a centrally located apartment in Funchal with free parking and a pool isn’t easy, and in this respect this is an ideal choice. It is reasonably well priced too.

Future travellers should be realistic, though, that this comes with a bit of a trade-off. It’s a well worn rental, and it’s clear the photos aren’t recent. But if you manage your expectations, and accept that you’re not going to find an A1 space when you arrive, you’ll be fine with it.

Extremely well equipped, super clean, excellent comms with the management company. All went very smoothly. Lovely sunny flat.
A couple of minor points others have raised - cats on the balcony, trying to get in, were kind of annoying. And the outside table and chairs were a bit wobbly and past their best.

Nice apartment close to the Center. A steep way to walk up to the place but it’s not to long so you get used to it. The pool area was very quite, but it might be Because it’s mars, and not a heated pool.

it was really easy to get there, we got a transportation via the host. you have everything you can possibly need in the apartment. Nice view, nice balcony, good location. there is a parking spot under the building.
there is a lot of cats walking around and if you are not careful they come into the apartment. it was noisy at the times, since the apartment is next to the entrance.. you could even hear the neighbors upstairs. Still I think it was very good value for the money.Pool is quite small

The views of the cable car, spacious apartment, very clean, close to town. There are some negatives - see below - but we really enjoyed our stay.
Apartment block 3 J. The shower (awful), the bed was comfy but difficult to get in and out, no air conditioning- just 2 fans which are ok at this time of year but not in height of summer. Ground floor so could not leave doors or windows open as lots of cats about. Really steep access to property- I know this has been mentioned but it would be a big issue for anyone who is not fully fit. Tour companies cannot get to property for pick up, have to make way down steep hill to main road on foot ( and back up again!)

Really friendly check-in and communication throughout the whole of the trip, even just to let us know what time the cleaner would be coming in halfway through our week. Really lovely apartment with all the things you need in the kitchen. One thing to note is that it is up a very steep hill which is a killer when you go down to do your shopping, however that isn't unusual in Madeira as it is so hilly everywhere.

The apartment feels much more in the local area and not in the touristy bit which we enjoyed. Would definitely stay here again!

Bon appartement avec une belle piscine, à 10 minutes à pieds de la vieille ville et du front de mer. Le garage privé est très appréciable si vous louez une voiture.
Juste un peu bruyant en fin de soirée et toujours quelques fourmis qui se balladent.

Everything was very nice - the flat is clean and the well equipped. Good if you like to cook but also shops and restaurants are within 10 min walking distance! The po is great, unfortunately quite cold at this time of the year.. :)

Perfect location for exploring Funchal, in a great apartment complex. Perfect with private parking garage and elevator to the apartment. The apartment worked nicely with one small toddler, as well. The only annoying problem, was ants in the kitchen. They where everywhere. The most annoying thing about it, was that the company knew but didn't tell us until we did the check-in. That is our only critique, for a otherwise lovely stay.

Location très bien placée par rapport au centre ville et lieux d'intérêt de funchal, dans une résidence avec piscine agréable ! Parking très pratique quand on prévois de rayonner dans l'île.
L'appartement est particulièrement bien équipé (lave linge, lave-vaisselle..).
Nous y retournerons avec plaisir en cas de nouveau séjour à funchal !
