Fantastisches Ferienhaus mit gemeinsamem Schwimmbad für ein einzigartiges Erlebnis zwischen Wein und Wald.
Casa do Lanço ist Teil eines 25.000 m2 großen Weinguts in einer Übergangszone zwischen dem Laurissilva-Wald und dem Ackerland von São Vicente. In den terrassierten Weinbergen wachsen die Rebsorten Tinta Negra und Verdelho, aus denen der berühmte Madeira-Wein gewonnen wird.
Das Anwesen liegt in einer Häusergruppe, in der sich mehrere Gärten mit jahrhundertealten Bäumen befinden, darunter eine große, über 250 Jahre alte Eiche und mehrere endemische Arten von Lorbeerwäldern wie tis, vinháticos, barbusanos und loureiros.
Das Haus ist mit verschiedenen Details eingerichtet, in einer Mischung aus Klassik und Moderne, die der Tradition eines Familienhauses folgt. Das Haus verfügt über ein Schlafzimmer mit zwei Einzelbetten im traditionellen Stil, mit einer Zugangstür nach draußen, so dass Sie mit einem fantastischen Blick auf den Hof und die Gärten des Hauses aufwachen können.
Im Haus können Sie den gemeinsamen Swimmingpool genießen, einen Spaziergang entlang des Baches und der Gärten machen oder draußen im Garten frühstücken (nicht inbegriffen), der jeden Morgen vom Hausmeister gemacht wird. Während Ihres Aufenthalts haben Sie die Möglichkeit, bei der Weinlese dabei zu sein oder die Weine zu kaufen, die im Haus erhältlich sind.
AREA
Das Haus liegt im Norden der Insel, genauer gesagt in Rosário, einer Gemeinde in der Gemeinde São Vicente. Da es sich um eine eher abgelegene Gegend handelt, gibt es in der Nähe des Hauses keine Geschäfte. Zehn Autominuten von der Stadt São Vicente entfernt finden Sie lokale Geschäfte, Restaurants, einen Supermarkt und eine Apotheke.
In der Nähe des Hauses haben Sie Zugang zu mehreren Wanderwegen und Levadas, wo Sie die Gelegenheit nutzen können, um unsere fantastische Insel zu Fuß zu erkunden.
Wenn Sie andere Orte oder Aktivitäten finden möchten, ist die Stadt Funchal 45 Autominuten entfernt.
ANREISE
Die beste Möglichkeit, das Haus zu erreichen, ist der Transfer. Bitten Sie uns, einen bei unseren lokalen Partnern zu buchen. Er ist billiger als die Taxis, die Sie am Flughafen finden.
Wenn Sie ein Auto mieten, kann jede Navigations-App die Adresse leicht finden.

SONSTIGE BEMERKUNGEN
- Nach portugiesischem Recht müssen alle Gäste einen gültigen Ausweis vorlegen. (Reisepass oder Personalausweis).
- Die Check-in-Zeit muss im Voraus festgelegt werden. Wenn der Check-in nicht innerhalb von 48 Stunden im Voraus vereinbart wird, hängt er von der Verfügbarkeit unseres Teams ab.
- Bettwäsche und Handtücher werden zur Verfügung gestellt. Wir können auch ein Babybett, einen Hochstuhl und eine Babywanne zur Verfügung stellen, falls erforderlich, aber Sie sollten dies anfordern. Es gibt einen Erste-Hilfe-Kasten, Feuerlöscher und eine Feuerlöschdecke im Haus.
ACHTUNG
Bitte beachten Sie, dass das Haus nicht über eine Waschküche verfügt. Es besteht jedoch die Möglichkeit, einen Wäscheservice in Anspruch zu nehmen, der von unserem Reinigungsteam gegen einen Aufpreis durchgeführt wird und direkt in bar bezahlt wird. Für weitere Informationen oder um diesen Service zu arrangieren, kontaktieren Sie uns bitte während Ihres Aufenthalts.

My wife fell in love with the two little dogs that live somewhere in the complex of houses. Pool was a nice touch and nice to use after a long day hiking. Thank you.

Die Feuchtigkeit ist teilweise ein Problem, da es dadurch im Badezimmer immer etwas muffig war. Unsere nassen Sachen haben sehr lange gebraucht zum trocknen.
Ansonsten hatten wir kurzzeitig Probleme mit Ameisen im Schlafzimmer, die aus der Steckdose kamen.
Ein größeres Ärgernis war eine nervige Amsel, denn das Haus und alle Scheiben sind verspiegelt, wodurch sich Vögel von ihrem Spiegelbild "angegriffen" fühlen und ab früh 7 Uhr den ganzen Tag gegen die Scheibe fliegen und hämmern. Ich empfehle sehr, etwas dagegen zu unternehmen, beispielsweise mit einer Folie. Wir haben irgendwann Handtücher vor die Fenster gehangen. Vor den Fenstern und Türen war irgendwann alles mit dem Kot der Vögel verschmiert.

This is a lovely quite secluded place overlooking the valley. Its location was ideal for exploring the northen part of the Madeira with their Lavadas. The property is lovenly maintained with attractive gardens and ideal for relaxation. The off the road private parking was a bonus, one thing less to worry about.

Perfect place on the more quite side of Madeira. Comes with two lovely dogs that will keep you company. Beautiful scenery from the terrace and large apartment. Easy to drive to all locations on Madeira. Lots of parking space on the property as well. Would totally visit this bnb again!

It’s extremely beautiful surroundings and the house. There are more houses if the same kind hosting people around in a property. The only down side is that it is chilly in the area as the sun only comes around 11am in January. There are heaters inside and the fireplace works but still not easy to make the house really warm. Other than that great communication with the host and fantastic surroundings.

Der Kamin konnte nicht genutzt werden, da das vorhandene Holz zu groß war. Automatische Außenbeleuchtung fehlte. Warmes Duschwasser kam nur langsam und zu wenig. Unsere Bewertung bezieht sich auf das Haus Verdelho.

Die Lage ist sehr schön!
Leider sehr enttäuschend
Unser Aufenthalt in diesem Appartement war leider alles andere als angenehm. Das Gebäude und die Einrichtung sind stark in die Jahre gekommen, es hat sehr unangenehm störend gerochen.
Besonders ärgerlich war, dass die angeführte Waschmaschine nicht vorhanden war.
Der Pool war prinzipiell sehr schön, allerdings gab es nicht genügend Liegen und keinen Sonnenschirm.
Die Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin war minimal – statt eines persönlichen Empfangs gab es lediglich eine kurze Nachricht, die uns mitteilte, wo der Schlüssel versteckt ist.
Die Eigentümerin gab sich trotz Anwesenheit nicht zu erkennen und die Dame von der zuständige Agentur war sehr nett.
Zudem war unser Aufenthalt durch eine lautstarke Party gestört, die die Besitzerin in ihrem eigenen Haus auf demselben Grundstück veranstaltete. Das hat unsere Erholung erheblich beeinträchtigt.
Sie hat sozusagen während der Zeit dieser Party (ihres vermeintlichen Enkels) die Vermietung nicht gesperrt und wollte auch hier Profit machen.
In der Hausordnung ist jedoch angeführt, dass kein Lärm und keine Partys erlaubt sind.
Besonders besorgniserregend war jedoch die Elektroinstallation. Der FI-Schutzschalter ist mit 300 mA ausgelegt, was in Wohngebäuden nicht zulässig ist und eine ernsthafte Gefahr für die Sicherheit darstellt.
Insgesamt können wir dieses Appartement leider nicht weiterempfehlen!
Für 1200€ pro Woche ohne Verpflegung erwarte ich mir viel mehr!

Die Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin war minimal – statt eines persönlichen Empfangs gab es lediglich eine kurze Nachricht, die uns mitteilte, wo der Schlüssel versteckt ist.
Die Eigentümerin gab sich trotz Anwesenheit nicht zu erkennen und die Dame von der zuständige Agentur war sehr nett.
Zudem war unser Aufenthalt durch eine lautstarke Party gestört, die die Besitzerin in ihrem eigenen Haus auf demselben Grundstück veranstaltete. Das hat unsere Erholung erheblich beeinträchtigt.
Sie hat sozusagen während der Zeit dieser Party (ihres vermeintlichen Enkels) die Vermietung nicht gesperrt und wollte auch hier Profit machen.
In der Hausordnung ist jedoch angeführt, dass kein Lärm und keine Partys erlaubt sind.
Besonders besorgniserregend war jedoch die Elektroinstallation. Der FI-Schutzschalter ist mit 300 mA ausgelegt, was in Wohngebäuden nicht zulässig ist und eine ernsthafte Gefahr für die Sicherheit darstellt.
Insgesamt können wir dieses Appartement leider nicht weiterempfehlen!
Für 1200€ pro Woche ohne Verpflegung erwarte ich mir viel mehr!

The location in the North of the island is nothing short of stunning. The house is surrounded by Laurissilva Forest and a mosaic of semi-agricultural land. The views are great and all three species of endemic terrestrial birds were to be found in the garden! The house had everything you would need and was very comfortable. It’s close to the amenities in São Vicente, although you really have to drive due to the hilliness. Not too far away from larger towns and shops either (~ 30/40 mins dive to Funchal). Plenty of options for day trips in the area though. All in all I would absolutely recommend staying here.

The property is beautiful, feels like staying in a garden. Nice views from the pool and the terrace. It is located in the hills above Sao Vicente, 5 min drive from a supermarket, 30 mins drive to funchal, Kid friendly, we were provided with a child chair and a bed. very helpful host, they did laundry for us as there was no washing machine on property. Also communicated fast and were ready to help with anything.

Amazing stay with great facilities! Hosts are very responsive and even gave us some wine and fruit on arrival. Lovely feel as well.
The only issue we had was no WiFi throughout the whole visit, they were very responsive but kept saying it was fixed when it wasn’t - if it wasn’t for that it would’ve been 10/10 - I would definitely come here again and hope they can sort the WiFi issue.

The place is magnificent, surrounded by beautiful natural and villas are well- designed and equipped. We loved that place is quiet and has a fireplace for a relaxing atmosphere. If you are with a car you can reach the city and ocean in 5 minutes. Property has a large garden and terasse to enjoy nature.

Wir hatten eine wirklich schöne Zeit und würden die Unterkunft auch weiter empfehlen. Nur stimmte der angegebene GPS-Standort nicht und wir hatten Probleme die Unterkunft zu finden. Das sollte man meiner Meinung nach anpassen. Ansonsten hat man eine wirklich schöne Unterkunft die im Winter mit offenem Kamin gemütlich ist. Es ist etwas schattig, das hat uns aber nicht gestört.

The place offers an excellent accommodation with spectacular mountain views. It located in very quiet place and perfect if you want to relax from city life and have a car. The apartments are very comfortable and cosy with excellent design and decoration. Especially, we loved the fire place. It gives a very special evenings with magic atmosphere. Linda was an amazing host! We had problem with the wi-fi connection when we arrived (the router was broken) and despite it being a weekend, professional came and fixed it under 24 hours. The location was a bit hard to find on map, but not impossible. The mountains around are absolutely beautiful. There is the kindest dogs living around which we enjoyed a lot. It’s ”winter” season, so keep in mind the appartment can get cold, but the heater in the bedroom and living room helped a lot. Would definitely stay again :)

We enjoyed a lovely stay at the Verdelho property. The property was exactly as advertised, with comfy finishings and a stunning view. Be sure to look up directions to the property ahead of time, as we lost internet service on approach and got a little turned around as a result. We loved watching the sun rise over the valley.

Das Haus ist sehr schön und sehr gut eingerichtet und, zum Beispiel in der Küche, sehr gut ausgestattet. Auch sehr nett war der Empfang mit Obst, Kuchen, Wein.
Ich hatte mir einen Park vorgestellt, die Anlage ist jedoch klein und nur bedingt zum spazieren geeignet. Es gibt nicht wie angegeben eine Waschmaschine, sondern man kann die Wäsche zum Waschen jemandem mitgeben ( das fand ich störend).

Heel ruim appartement, wat zeer fijn is met een baby erbij. Alle basiscomfort aanwezig.
Uitzicht was heel mooi.
Heel vriendelijke mensen. De wasmachine was stuk maar in ruil werd onze was voor ons gedaan, gewassen en gestreken en dat helemaal gratis.
De locatie is mooi maar in de nabije omgeving is niet veel te doen. Een auto is een must.

It is a beautifull and peacefull place to stay And discover north part of Madeira Island. Linda is incredibly helpfull host, she answered all our questions and did all that was possible to make our stay a pleasant memory.

Die Unterkunft liegt sehr idyllisch und ruhig in einer ländlichen Umgebung, 5 min von Sao Vicente entfernt. Ideale Lage für alle Ausflüge rund um die Insel. Einfaches Einchecken, Mitarbeiterin kam vorbei und hieß uns willkommen. Die Ausstattung ist gut, geschmackvoll, ein Ort zum Wohlfühlen. Evt. könnten die Gartenliegen eine Erneuerung gebrauchen.
Leider gab es einen Wasserschaden im Badezimmer und Baumassnahmen am Nachbarhaus, die uns vor der Reise nicht kommuniziert wurden. Das hat unseren Aufenthalt beeinträchtigt. Der Betreiber der Anlage hat aber auf unsere Reklamation direkt reagiert und ist uns im Preis fair entgegengekommen.
Die Anlage ist uneingeschränkt zu empfehlen, wir würden wiederkommen.

One of a pair of bungalows on a beautiful property up a quiet valley from Sao Vicente. Lovely grounds to wander down and enjoy, quite steep. Reasonably well equiped kitchen and confortable bed. Not too hot. Parking and turning on the property are easy.

beautiful location and perfectly positioned to explore all corners of the island. Linda was super helpful as a host. Nothing was a hassle for the host agency even when we got locked out of our property late in the evening, they came down to open the apartment. property is well equipped for everyday cooking. A car is recommended for this part of the island.

The apartment is a short walk from the town Sao Vicente. It is located in a quiet part of the village and offers beautiful views of the mountains and the garden. There is a huge farm around the house and the garden is completely quiet. It was also a great advantage that we were the only guests here. In fact there are 4 houses in total on the property. The house has a very cozy living room with fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom and a nice bedroom. There is a parking space on the property. From Sao Vicente you can easily reach all corners of the island by car.
Everything was perfect. But if you come here, you should be aware that the accommodation in the house has its own specifics. It's definitely colder than a hotel. The bathroom is very cold in the winter months. If you won't chop wood and light a fire in the fireplace, you'll be cold. It is also good to know that the accommodation is conveniently accessible by car. But you can't get here by bus and it's quite a long and uphill walk from the town.

We were unfortunately disappointed with this property. The living room displays brochures that advertise an on-site representative, who we tried to get a hold of many times to assist with certain things but she wasn’t anywhere to be found. We called a number on the brochure and they said this person would call us, but they never did. The brochures also advertise being able to purchase wine, a food basket, etc. When I contacted the representatives on the Airbnb App, they said to ask the mysterious on-site person who, you guessed it, didn’t exist… We received very little check-in instructions and had to ask in-app, but figured it out eventually after we called to speak with someone on the phone that gave us the info over the phone. There are no instructions on how to locate things like firewood or if the fireplaces were ready to use. We weren’t really sure what we had access to. Our neighbors were equally as confused. The property is advertised as a supported experience, but it just isn’t. The pros are: the location is stunning and the dogs are really cute. This side of the island is truly a beautiful place.

We had a very pleasant stay and we enjoyed going back there every day. The location is great, the nature around is beautiful, the house is nicely equipped, the communication was great, there were electric heaters and there are two funny cute dogs on the property :) On the other side the wifi was a bit slower than promised, there wasnt as much privacy as I hoped initially and there were a lot of spiders and other insects, but that is understandable since you are right in the nature and there is pretty much nothing the host can do about it, I am just typing so the potential guests are prepared :) Overall very pleasant stay and definitely recommend.

We had a wonderful time at our stay. The house and the surrounding nature is absolutely beautiful, especially the mountains behind the house make a stunning view.
Núria and Fabio were very friendly and helpful. They organized an airport transport for us, which was much cheaper then the airport taxis, even though we asked super spontaneously on the day of our arrival.
We really much enjoyed our time there and on the beautiful island!

We had a really beautiful stay in the appartement which is clean and cozy, but the kitchen equipment is very basic.
The nature around the house is stunning, quiet and there are many places on the property to enjoy the view. Besides, it is a really good starting point for many of the islands famous treks. Thank you very much.

We had an amazing stay at the lodge! Location was perfect, surrounded by vineyards and mountains with incredible views, whilst being only a short drive away from Sao Vicente with shops and restaurants. Very easy to get to and a perfect base to explore Madeira. Communication with the host was excellent from booking to right throughout our stay. Super clear check in instructions and they were always on hand to help. We had trouble with our rental car company which resulted in us being stranded at the airport when we landed late at night, however Fabio our local host was on hand to help and sorted out a transfer for us amazingly quickly! It was peaceful and relaxing and even though there was no air conditioning it stayed surprisingly cool within the lodge even when temperatures rose outside. Highly recommend ordering the breakfast at least once too, delicious! Thanks again for a great stay!

A gorgeous location! The Airbnb couldn’t be in a more picturesque location. There are a lot of trails nearby to walk or hike, either in town through the vineyards or above on the mountain through the levadas or in the park. An easy drive to the other nearby towns and the pools- we had a wonderful time. The only difficulty we had was not having a parking space one night, as it’s shared with adjacent apartments

Take into account though, that the cottage is not wholly yours, since there are two apartments in one building. you will have neighbours.

All in all we enjoyed our stay at Caso da Lanco and would recommend other people to come here. We enjoyed especially the company from the cute dogs on the property. :-)
The place is in the middle of nature and should be a quiet and nice place to relax, normally. However, during our stay there was some big construction work goiing on close to the property, which was loud and annoying for us. But it was only during the day and on weekdays. If you do want to spend quiet time during the day at the property, we would recommend to ask beforehand, if the construction work is still going on or not.
The apartment itself is nice as well. Only the bathroom was a bit dissapointing for us, since it was not exactly as nice as in the pitcures and there was some mold. Should be not too much work to fix it. Hopefully, the owners will fix it soonish.
However, as we said in the begin:
All in all we enjoyed the stay and would recommend others to stay there, too.

Logement bien placé dans São Vicente et le lieu est très calme. Nous conseillons le restaurant La Caravela situé à 10min en voiture du logement. Les supermarchés sont situés à 10min du logement à peu près. La cuisine est bien équipée et les espaces dehors permettent de se reposer et de profiter du paysage.
Le logement est bien mais un peu sombre en terme de luminosité. Attention lorsque vous modifiez l’heure d’arrivée depuis leur outil de gestion, nous avions modifié l’heure mais elle n’a pas été prise en compte...

Es handelt sich um ein Haus mit zwei nebeneinander liegenden Wohnungen, wobei man sich einen Vorplatz teilen kann. Das Haus liegt mitten im Grünen, eingebettet in einen wunderbaren Garten mit weiteren Sitzplätzen, doch leicht erreichbar von São Vicente (mit dem Auto). Frühmorgens hört man die Vögel an den steilen Bergflanken pfeifen. Der Ort eignet sich als Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen und Erkundungen auf der ganzen Insel. In einer Viertelstunde erreicht man den Encumeada-Pass, Ausgangspunkt für schöne Levada-Wanderungen. Ein toller Ort für Naturfreunde!

This space is so beautiful - the views are just stunning! You’re surrounded by the gorgeous backdrop of a vineyard and waterfalls in the distance. What more could you ask for? It was nice to enjoy a bottle of wine by the wood burning fireplace. A bit cold in April, but to be expected it seems. There were the cutest little dogs on the property which made me miss mine at home!

Our stay at Casa do Lanço was amazing. Love the Madeira house. It was super clean and beautifully decorated. The gardens and views are spectacular. This was one of our favourite places. We will be back.

We totally enjoyed our stay in that beautiful house. The surrounding is stunning, if you are into nature, you will be speechless. It is more than beautiful, the view to the mountains with waterfalls is amazing. The garden with the flowers, the old tree, cute Little dogs.... So lovely! Joao created us a wonderful arrival, he is super nice and always available for questions. The house is super clean, cosy and you feel at home immediately. You can reach all places on the Island in a more or less short ride, nothing is really far away. We will come back for sure!

Great place, location close to mountains and in a kind of center of the island so it is easy to explore all directions.
Accommodation meets the description so we had a great family week in Casa do Lanco. Joao, our local host, was very helpful whenever we needed advice or help.

Wonderful apartment located on a beautiful small farm in the north of the island. It's super easy to reach all the highlights of the islands within 1 hour or less of driving and the garden and the terrace are great for relaxing or having breakfast/lunch outside.
And probably the most convincing part of this apartment: There are 6 super cute and extremely friendly small dogs living on the farm :-)

Ah Casa do Lanço...! :) There‘s no way you will not enjoy this location!
The housekeeper, Irina and João, who was in charge of the check-in are super kind! The country house has such a comforting, cozy touch, you just feel at ease!
At arrival (and even during your stay), you feel like you „landed“ in the jungle, except there are no dangerous animals but dog puppies awaiting you.
These cuties were such a highlight for us and our son!:)
They prepared a huge bowl of fresh fruit and local beverages to welcome us, which was very appreciated.
This location is the best ever, but rent a car if you plan to stay in Madeira. There are so many beautiful places to visit in a short time laps. But discover on your own;)

We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage, the location is amazing. Exactly what we needed for a few relaxing days away!
The cottage is nice and cosy with everything provided, local shops are a short drive away.
I would recommend this cottage to anyone as the scenery is stunning and is a great location to relax and enjoy the island

If you want to experience real Madeira and enjoy true nature - this is the right place! The house and the environment give the right picture and spirit of the island. Interior of the house is authentic and beautiful (better than photos), designed with a lot of taste, taking care of every detail. We were a bit late on arrival, because of the problem with rent-a-car agency, but even with that Joao welcomed us warmly and I'm thanking him again for that!
We saw the whole island, and this is the part of the island and the place we will come again definitely! See you next time!!!!
