DIE UMGEBUNG ÜBERBLICK
Diese Wohnung befindet sich in einer der angesehensten Gegenden von Funchal und liegt in der Nähe von Supermärkten, Apotheken, Geschäften, Bars, Theatern und dem Casino da Madeira.
Neben dem Casino befindet sich der wunderschöne Santa Catarina Park mit großen Grünflächen zum Joggen, Entspannen oder Picknicken mit Blick auf die herrliche Bucht von Funchal.
Die Lage ist ideal, um die Stadt zu Fuß (zehn Minuten zu Fuß von der Kathedrale, dem Yachthafen und dem Stadtzentrum entfernt) oder mit den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln (die Bushaltestelle ist nur zwei Minuten zu Fuß entfernt) zu erkunden.

ANREISE
Obwohl die Haltestelle des Aerobus für die Ankunft und den Abflug vom Flughafen nur fünf Minuten zu Fuß von der Wohnung entfernt ist, empfehlen wir den privaten Transferservice als die beste Option für die Anreise. Kontaktieren Sie uns im Voraus, um einen privaten Transfer mit unseren lokalen Partnern zu vereinbaren. Es ist billiger, als auf eigene Faust ein Taxi am Flughafen zu nehmen!

Für alle Gäste, die in Ferienanlagen und/oder Unterkünften übernachten und mindestens 13 Jahre alt sind, wird eine Gebühr von 2,00 € pro Person/Nacht erhoben, bis zu einem Maximum von 7 Nächten und einem Maximum von 14,00 € pro Person/Aufenthalt. This was our second stay at Ilhéus IV. We like the location which is not too far from the city center. The neighborhood is quiet in the evenings, close to some restaurants, and Santa Catarina Park is nearby. The apartment was spacious, and we enjoyed having a balcony to watch the weather toward the mountains as well as the sea. We would stay again!

Prostorný, čistý a skvěle vybavený apartmán v pátém patře domu s výtahem a podzemní garáží. 2 ložnice a 2 koupelny. V kuchyni dostatek místa, dlažba - dobré na úklid. V přístavku pračka, sušák, vybavení na úklid. Velká místnost s jídelním stolem a gaučem s TV. Balkonek s možností posezení a výhledem na moře. Část bytu s ložnicemi oddělena dalšími dveřmi, takže je opravdu klid na spaní. Dochozí vzdálenost do centra.
Pokud chcete využít parkování v podzemní garáži, nepůjčujte si velké auto - prostor je umístěn tak, že do něho nejde dobře vjet. Ale v okolí domu jde poměrně dobře zaparkovat i venku. Nefungovala nám wifi.

Check-in prévu pour 16h : nous arrivons avec 10 minutes d’avance, juste avant le personnel de nettoyage ! Nettoyage fait plus que sommairement : sols sales, tapis du salon avec des miettes, balcon impraticable pieds-nus !
L’école en bas est utilisée l’été par un centre de loisirs : bruyant !
Le supermarché n’est pas à proximité et il faut bien 20 minutes à pied pour atteindre de centre-ville, 40 pour la première piscine naturelle.
Jamais le même interlocuteur lors des échanges par mails.
Heureusement, cette escale fut de courte durée

Das Airbnb hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Die Wohnung ist wirklich sehr groß und auf dem Balkon kann man gut die Seele baumeln lassen.
Der Parkplatz den man in der Tiefgarage findet ist leider nur für kleinere Autos gedacht. Wir konnten mit unserem T-Roc dort leider nicht parken. Die Garage befindet sich auch einmal ums Haus rum und nicht direkt neben dem Eingang wie vermutet.
direkt gegenüber vom Haus befindet sich eine Schule die aber nicht wirklich stört, wenn man eh den ganzen Tag unterwegs ist. Die Anbindung war sehr gut und die Innenstadt war innerhalb weniger Gehminuten zu erreichen.
Die Unterkunft hat alles geboten was man brauchte. Ein netflix Zugang oder einen Smart TV wäre dennoch ganz gut gewesen.
Wir waren aber trotzdem super zufrieden mit der Wohnung und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Mieszkanie bardzo wygodne, dobrze wyposażone i przestronne. Miejsce parkingowe troszkę ciasne, ale byliśmy małym autem i nie było problemu, najważniejsze że było tylko dla nas😀Przy otwartych oknach słychać odgłosy ulicy, pobliskiej szkoły, mimo że często mam problem ze spaniem w nowych miejscach, to tutaj spało mi się bardzo dobrze.Pobyt uważam za bardzo udany i polecam!

Die Lage der Wohnung war für uns ideal. Wir waren mit 2 Kindern unterwegs und konnten fußläufig einen schönen Park mit Spielplatz, Bäckerei und einige leckere Restaurants/Cafés erreichen. Wir haben einen Hochstuhl in der Wohnung vorgefunden und es war sauber. Die Aussicht vom Balkon und die Aufteilung der Zimmer haben uns sehr gut gefallen.
In den Bädern besteht Handlungsbedarf damit es hygienischer ist.
Der Parkplatz in der Tiefgarage ist aufgrund einer Säule recht schmal und für einen Ford Focus noch ausreichend. Größere Autos könnten Schwierigkeiten haben.
Wir würden die Wohnung wieder auswählen.

This is our third time staying at this apartment, it hasn't changed since our first visit which is fine, could need a bit of TLC but nothing major. The location of the apartment from the city centre is very good and very convenient, apart from the dogs barking early morning, this happened last time we knew what we would get. However, due to location, we discovered that locals use it as a parking area before walking into town, as the apartment does not have air-conditioning, and it could be stuffy at night, it was very noisy at night. When they returned to pick up the cars it was like they couldn't just pick up and go they had to talk before they left. I don't know if it's due to the location of the apartment, but the sound quality in the flat was like you were downstairs with them. Again, I can't blame the host for this, could help if the apartment had air-conditioning. If you are a light sleeper, this may not be the best place to stay.

Endroit en principe calme mais toutes les nuits 4 chiens de type Beagle du voisin de droite aboyais.

La casa è grande e confortevole , contiene 2 camere con 2 letti ognuna e 2 bagni, ampia cucina ben fornita di utensili e salotto con tavolo per mangiare. La casa è situata a 20/25 minuti a piedi dalla zona vecchia di Funchal. Sotto casa si trova un bar x fare colazione.
Non è vicinissima a supermercati. Per arrivare in centro a piedi bisogna camminare in discesa e poi salita x una ventina di minuti. Arrivano messaggi continui da Booking e da An Island Apartment per cui si crea confusione e si rischia di non capire bene cosa fare x check-in check-out e gestione della casa.

Super Unterkunft, sehr geräumig und in guter Zentraler Lage. In 10 Minuten ist man am Hafen von Funchal. Lediglich die Badezimmer muss ich bemängeln. Hier gibt es Schimmel an den Silikonfugen der Dusche. Ist aber aushaltbar.

Would give this place 2.5 stars.
Keys were not in the pick-up location as said in the app. Had to call up the host and meet us to give in person. Not a self check in as described.

Water on the floor of the kitchen when we first arrived. Not enough kitchen towel, asked for more but was told not possible. No shampoo provided.

We visited on a hot week in October, there were 2 fans provided but it was insufficient to cool the flat which retained the heat.

Would have preferred other accommodation options closer to town.

Unfortunately, it didn't get off to a good start, as one of our colleagues had an unforeseen incident and was unable to leave the key in the flat's lock boxes. It was a one-off situation because our team is very responsible, but unforeseen events do happen. :(

With regard to the other problems you mentioned, we're sorry you didn't mention them on the days you were in the flat, as we have a maintenance team that is always available to resolve these types of problems.

Regarding the hot weather, in October it is not common for the weather to be so hot, however, you booked a flat without air conditioning and our team had to improvise and provide 2 fans so that your stay would remain comfortable. We're sorry it wasn't enough.

We are sorry that the location of the flat you rented was not the best for you and we would like to apologise for you not having the experience you deserved in one of our properties. We would like to welcome you back to one of our many properties and provide you with a better experience.

Ár-érték arányban kiváló, nagy és kényelmes lakás jó környéken. Szerettük a panorámát a teraszról. Tiszta volt, pár apróbb dolgon lehetne változtatni de összességében elégedettek vagyunk. A konyha jól felszerelt, világításán lehetne javitani. Szuper h van mélygarázs hely, igaz ne friss jogaival próbálj parkolni mert nagyon szűk és tolatva érdemes közelíteni. Lehet h másnak evidens de ha bérelt kocsival érkezel először menj fel a lakásba mert a garázsba a fenti kulcson lévő távnyitóval tudsz bemenni. Kommunikáció pontos volt és érthető különben.
Amit már olvastam az előző véleményeknél, a szembe lévő iskola 8-18 között hétköznap nagyon zajos volt, azt hittem már nincs tanítás de táboroztattak és egész nap ment az üvöltés. Ha csak aludni jársz a lakásba nem probléma. A parkolóhely gyakorlott vezetőknek ajánlott. Mosógép egyszer jól jött volna de nem működött.

Clean, same as on photos, very good location near to centrum by walk. Quit, no noise from car, only from children in kndergarden. But no problem for us. Some shops and many restaurant 5 min by walk.

Only one bad thing that we have cockroach on room. But it could be happend on each accomondation (we saw roachs on different places outside). And maybe we brought it in our backpack from different place.

Très bel emplacement, à 15/20min à pieds de la vieille ville et à 15-20min à pied des restaurants proches des stations balnéaires. Un petit bar/snack en dessous, des centres commerciaux/stations essence assez proches pour dépanner. L'appartement est grand, spacieux, lumineux et bien décoré. Les salles de bains sont bien équipées, l'eau est chaude même si parfois elle redevient froide avant de réchauffer ;-) les lits sont très confortables.
Il y a une école en face de l'appartement, avec parfois un peu de bruit en semaine (sonnerie, enfants, parents qui viennent chercher les enfants et bloquent la route) et le week-end quelques personnes peuvent faire du bruit la nuit. Il y a aussi beaucoup de chiens (errants ou d'une autre propriété) un peu au dessus qui aboient parfois.

Attention si vous avez une grosse voiture, la place de park intérieure est serrée (contre un mur au coin avec un poteau devant). Nous avions une Seat Ibiza et cela passait mais avec une voiture plus grande, la manœuvre aurait été difficile. Il faut récupérer la télécommande dans l'appartement avant d'ouvrir la porte du garage. Un parking payant se situe juste en face.

Die Wohnung liegt günstig gelegen , man geht zu Fuß ca 15 min in die Altstadt und zum Hafen. Busanbindungen erreicht man in wenigen Minuten. Wegen der Garage ist es auch kein Problem das Auto sicher zu parken , wenn man sich eines mietet . Der empfohlene Autovermieter ist zuvorkommend und sehr verlässlich. Die Wohnung und alles Drumherum ist zu empfehlen und bietet eine gute Grundlage für einen perfekten Urlaub!

A lovely, modern apartment, very conveniently located about 10 mins walk from the heart of Funchal. The decor was lovely and we enjoyed reading on the pretty balcony looking at the sea. We had a couple of hiccups in that the travel cot etc wasn’t there for us when we arrived and we struggled with lack of WiFi signal in the bedrooms but the An Island team helped us.

Superb location, well sized, underground garage, balcony with view, wifi - overall good value for money.

In need of a spruce-up at the moment - however I would not hesitate to use the accommodation on future visits, if small issues which have been shared with the host are attended to.

Best flat that I could imagine staying for 2,5 weeks with my two mates and work as digital nomad from Funchal. Everything around the flat was 10/10. The highlight is the service and guest platform I got access to which includes all necessary inf around the stay but also a wide range of services like contact to host, every instruction of the electr. devices as pdf but also some recommendations for restaurants, events, FAQ and even info about emergencies, etc.
Never saw such guest platform before and I was very impressed how good it worked :)

Nice, spacious flat and a nice balcony from where the ocean can be seen.
The flat is in a good location, about 15 min walk from the centre. It has an underground parking space, which will help a lot if one is renting a car.
The check-in and check out were smooth and easy and every question we had afterwards, it was answered quick. They even have good recommendations for tourists, thank you especially for the renting car one!
Overall, everything went well, we felt really good and it is a place I would recommend.

The apartment is centrally located and a very modern and clean area. There many restaurants within walking distance. A 10-15min walk takes you to the city center. There is a mini restaurant/cafe/bakery just by the entrance of the apartment complex with really friendly owners. Perfect for a quick snack, breakfast or just a coffee. The apartment itself is on the 5th floor and very quiet and rather bright. It has a lovely balcony with a really great view towards the port and city center. Perfect for receiving direct Sun until noon (incl sunrise) and relaxing in the afternoon/evening with a glas of wine. The rooms are large and so is the kitchen. Everything we needed for some cooking and dining was available. We really loved this place. And the hosts were very attentive and super helpful whenever we had a question or needed something. There is a parking space in the garage. Within 8min car drive one is at the highway to explore the island. We used the place for remote work, exploring the area but also the island with a car. They cooperate with a car rental and everything went really smoothly. There is nothing to complain about but only room for more praise. Would definitely stay here again! :)

Deze airbnb biedt de perfecte mogelijkheden om Madeira te ontdekken. Het is centraal gelegen - op een paar minuten van een busstop en circa 10/15 minuten (heuvelaf) van het centrum. Er was veel ruimte en de communicatie liep allemaal soepel.

Lovely clean flat with plenty of room and close to Funchal centre. A great place to stay as a jumping off point for your time in Madeira. Only thing that could’ve been better is the communication as didn’t have a response to one of my messages other than that everything was great.

We enjoyed our 2 week stay at Ilhéus IV. The accommodations were bright and spacious and accurately displayed in the photos. The kitchen was well-equipped and mattress/pillows were comfortable. There is a school across the street, so expect to hear children on the playground during the day. Nice balcony with sea view! We would definitely stay in this apartment again.

Nette en comfortabele woning, dichtbij centrum. Er zijn veel leuke restaurants dichtbij. Ook een kleine snackbar naast de deur waar je onder meer koffie en vers brood kan halen. De woning is overigens erg gehorig (geluid van buren). Keuken is prima voorzien van alles.

Although it can be a bit noisy, because there's a school right across the street and there's quite a lot dogs barking sometimes, it's still a great place to stay in Funchal, if you want to experience some local everyday life vibes and be in a walking distance to everywhere in Funchal. It was an ideal place to stay for active vacation and just live for some weeks and work remotely, had no problems with Internet connection and there's also a big desk. When I return, this place would be my first option. :)
*The view: From the balcony the view towards the ocean and over town is great. Really enjoyed the sunrise and getting some morning sun on the balcony. At least in October and November it was possible to see the exact moment of sunrise, if there weren't any clouds hiding it.
*Location: Few minutes walking takes you down to the busy main street and there's already a lot of restaurants, cafes and beautiful Santa Catarina park. From there you can either take a bus or easily walk to Funchal central area or to Lido area. Closest decent supermarket is in the La Vie shopping center, in about 10-15 minutes walking distance.
*Apartment itself has a good planning and there is a lot of space. It's not the most modern, but everything looks clean and tidy and there is everything you might need (just no dishwasher in the kitchen.)
Also there's underground parking space reserved and the location is very easily accessible by car.

We had a great time in this apartment. The apartment was perfectly clean, the kitchen was equipped with everything you need. Every day we enjoyed the beautiful ocean view from the balcony. The apartment is located in a good location close to the center of Funchal. I recommend using an additional service - booking a taxi from(to) airport, - it is convenient and not expensive

If you want to stay in Funchal in a apartment that is clean, well serviced and in a great location this is the place for you. It is within easy walking distance to the centre of the city, Santa Caterina park and ocean front and there is a great public transportation system to all parts of the city close by. Travel to Madeira are very good to work with and offer excellent communications throughout your visit. We will definitely rent there again.

Dommage que l on ne puisse pas dormir correctement suite aux aboiements incessants de chiens toute la nuit .
L appartement est très bien , propre , bien agencé , près du centre et des boutiques et avec un garage , rien à redire .......sauf les chiens . Dommage.

Logement parfaitement conforme aux photos et à la description. Idéal pour petite famille avec ses deux chambres et deux salles de bains. Vue sur la marina de Funchal du balcon le top. Petit bémol sur le problème de wifi et d’eau chaude mais qui ont été très rapidement pris en charge par Catarina. Je recommande sans souci ce logement
