Its interior space has been used at its best, in order to offer the comfort paired with a modern and careful decoration, that will meet your expectations. The apartment has a bedroom with double bed, bathroom with shower and an small equipped kitchen. From the small balcony you have a privileged view of downtown architecture and the Cathedral Tower.
The property is fully prepared to make you feel at home!
THE NEIGHBORHOOD OVERVIEW
Guests have easy access to several restaurants (there is a small cafe just outside the building), shops, shopping centre and supermarket.
This flat is situated very close to the famous Farmers’ Market (Mercado dos Lavradores), the historic centre of Funchal (locally known as ‘Zona Velha’) and the Cathedral. From here you can explore by foot many of the main tourist attractions of our beautiful town. (e.g. The Cable Car, Funchal Marina, CR7 Museum, Madeira Wine Lodge, etc ...)
Barreirinha Beach is about twenty minutes' walk away, where you can relax and dip into the crystal clear waters of the island.
GETTING AROUND
Although a aerobus bus stop for airport arrivals and departures is within four minutes walk distance from the flat, we recommend the private transfer service as the best option to get there. Contact us in advance to schedule a private transfer car with our local partners. It is cheaper than taking a taxi by your own in the airport!

Guests have access to all areas of the flat.

OTHER OBSERVATIONS
- According to Portuguese law, all guests are required to present a valid ID. (E.g. passport, identity card).
- Check-in must be scheduled in advance. In case the check-in is not scheduled within a maximum of 48 hours prior arrival, guests will be subject to the availability of our team.
- All bed linen and towels are provided. We can also provide a crib, a baby high chair and a baby bathtub if needed. First aid kit, fire extinguisher and fire blanket are available in all properties.
ATTENTION
Please be advised that a Tourist Fee will be charged to all persons staying overnight in the municipality of Funchal. Thus, all customers staying in tourist resorts and/or accommodation establishments, aged 13 or over, will be charged €2.00 per person/night, up to a maximum of 7 nights and a maximum of €14.00 per person/stay. When you arrive, you will receive a link to pay this municipal tax.

Der Aufenthalt war sehr schön! Die Wohnung ist eigentlich wie auf den Fotos zu sehen. Liegt super in der Altstadt, wodurch man schnell vieles erreichen kann! Die Wohnung ist sehr gut ausgestattet, vor allem die Küche. Der Kontakt mit An Island war sehr unkompliziert, schnell und freundlich. Was uns sehr positiv aufgefallen ist, war der Service während unserem Aufenthalt. Nach fünf Tagen Aufenthalt wurde unsere Wohnung geputzt, das Bett neu bezogen und so weiter.
Das einzige Manko ist die Dusche, die schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen aussieht.

Het complex ligt echt op een top locatie, middenin het centrum van Funchal. Het waren lekkere bedden en er was een keukentje met voldoende apparatuur (magnetron/oven, pannen, bestek, glazen) Er kwam een onwijs vieze lucht uit de badkamer (riool/schimmel lucht), schimmel was ook te zien bij de kabine wanden. We hebben dit gemeld en ze kwamen schoonmaken. Hierna rook het enkele uren naar schoonmaakmiddel, maar daarna kwam de geur weer terug.. ook vroegen we halverwege ons verblijf (na 4 dagen) om schone handdoeken. Hier moesten we echter 15 euro voor betalen.

Nicely tucked away in a corner in the center of the city, close to everything. Loved the secret agent vibes of the place, coming to our floor from the elevator it took our tired brains a second to realize there were doors there at all 🤭 check in was easy and effortless, the place was clean and neat. The airing of the place could have been a bit better, but didn't hinder the experience. Perfect sized for an 'out all day' -kind of vacationer and the staff was very friendly and accomodating.

Apartamento muito limpo e arrumado.
Tínhamos todos os utensílios de cozinha necessários para preparação de refeições. O secador de cabelo não funcionou.
A persiana não fecha completamente, isso deixa o quarto bem claro logo nos primeiros raios de sol.
Como sugestão: Colocar mais duas almofadas nas camas, ficaríamos mais confortáveis.

Good location close to everything in Funchal. A bit hard to find as it is hidden in a corner and not aligned with the other house numbers. Easy check in with keypad and well organized client portal. However, when I did have issues, it did take a little bit for them to respond. Overall, it was a good stay, and what I needed for the time.

Alloggiare in questo appartamento è stata la migliore scelta che potessi fare per visitare Funchal e l'intera isola di Madeira. Due giorni prima del mio arrivo mi è stato comunicato dalla struttura che nell'appartamento che avevo prenotato era stato riscontrato un problema con l'acqua calda e quindi mi hanno invitata ad accettare una sostituzione. L'appartamento in cui ho soggiornato rimane praticamente "dall'altro lato della strada" rispetto al precedente, 1 o 2 minuti a piedi di distanza. Appartamento bellissimo, nuovo, ben arredato e dotato di ogni comfort. In posizione ottimale per visitare Funchal, non è dotato di parcheggio, ma a 5 minuti c'è un silos in cui è possibile lasciare la macchina a pagamento (non sono molti i parcheggi gratuiti in città). Il personale è stato molto gentile e disponibile.
Tornerò sicuramente!

La ubicación es excelente, muy céntrico y con muchos restaurantes alrededor, el apartamento es pequeño pero tiene todo lo necesario para pasar unos días.
El chico que nos atendió por el chat fue simpático, atento a lo que necesitábamos. El agua caliente en ciertas horas era inexistente, varios días nos tuvimos que duchar con el agua casi fría. Además la limpieza del primer día dejó bastante que desear, había trozos de comida en la cocina y el baño no estaba muy limpio. En el baño las tuberías tenían un olor un tanto desagradable

Check In Anweisungen waren klar, wir haben die Schlüssel für die Unterkunft sofort gefunden. Allerdings wäre es hilfreicher gewesen zu erwähnen, dass sich die Unterkunft in einer nicht befahrbaren Straße befindet. Die Lage ist zentral, ein günstiges Parkhaus ist 500 m von der Unterkunft entfernt. Durch die Lage kann es auch mal lauter werden. Hafen, Supermarkt, Seilbahn und Geschäfte sind vorhanden. Die Sauberkeit war okay, es waren Reste wie Haare und Seife in Bad und Schlafbereich zu finden. Wir hatten nicht das Gefühl, dass dort jemand geputzt hat, sondern nur grob durchgefegt hat. Staub auf sämtlichen Oberflächen. Der starke Raumduft bei Ankunft, diente dazu den übel riechenden Kanalgeruch aus dem Bad zu übertönen. Die gläserne Duschtür hat geklemmt und schloss nicht richtig wodurch Wasser auslief. Dies sorgt zusätzlich für einen Geruch der Feuchtigkeit. In der kleinen Küche hatte man alles da was man für einen kurzen Aufenthalt benötigt, diese haben wir sauber vorgefunden.

Fantastisk beliggenhet. Rolig, sjarmerende og veldig sentralt område. Verten var rask til å svare og hjelpsom. Leiligheten hadde det vi trengte, men vi var litt skuffet over at det ikke var veranda når bildet viste det i annonsen.

Nice furniture, cleanlines, well equipped kitchen and location in city center. Affordable parking available in nearby public parking building. Insufficient air ventilation in bathroom makes shower a bit moldy. Power outlets need some love.

Great place and staff. There was an issue with the shower door they quickly responded and came round to fix it.
The apartment is ideally located with everything on your doorstep. Kitchen and bathroom were well equipped and had everything I needed. Highly recommend and would use again.

We stayed here for 4 nights. It was a good stay.
The key was not where it was supposed to be, someone had to come bring it after we called them.
But there was a lot of noise from the other apartments in the building. You could hear the toilet flushing in the room above us. That was not so pleasant.
Also the shower could use more cleaning.
Overall it was okay

I really appreciate that the flat was in the city centre and pretty new. Location is very quiet. Our flat was a little too tiny and the bathroom was very tight. For a vacation it is just fine anyway.

El apartamento está súper limpio, no hay ningún ruido, las camas súper cómodas y luego con muchos detalles (café, aceite, sal, etc). La ubicación es perfecta, cerca de restaurantes y del mercado de los labradores. El trato ha sido excelente. Tuvimos un problema personal por el que tuvimos que cancelar la reserva. Posteriormente pudimos finalmente hacer el viaje y no dudaron en aplicarnos el precio de la reserva inicial. Lo recomendaría sin ninguna duda. No comment

I didn’t stay at the apartment I booked. The place was advertised as a penthouse with a beautiful terrace overlooking Funchal. I stayed in a tiny hole with no terrace and no view.

Location We were misled by the advertising photos. We booked a penthouse with a terrace overlooking Funchal. Instead, they put us in a tiny place with no terrace and no views. We are really disappointed. We would have never booked this place if we knew what we are getting at. This was our worst accommodation experience in Madeira.

Det bedste ved lejligheden er den centrale beliggenhed. Det var nemt at ankomme da al information var tilsendt på forhånd. Lejligheden er fin, lille og moderne. Der var hvad vi skulle bruge i de 14 dage vi opholdt os der. Vi er vandrere, og for os var der ikke langt til offentlig transport det fungerede upåklageligt. Hvis vi kommer igen i lejlighedskomplekset vil vi foretrække den på 5. sal som så ud til at have en skøn terrasse, men det var også penthouselejligheden. Man skal lige vide at der udelukkende er mikroovn, og begrænset mulighed for at kokkerere. Til gengæld er der mange mulige caféer og spisesteder lige i nærmiljøet.

Thanks for hosting me! Overall the service was very good, staff was super nice and responsive when contacted and internet is fast.
The apartment has all the amenities needed, however the bed is extremely uncomfortable, especially the pillows.
On a less positive note, the building needs to be checked. The smoke alarm flashes red every few seconds and there are weird noises coming from the entrance area on the 4th floor that are ongoing and made me feel uneasy.

L'endroit est accessible facilement. La chambre est petite très moderne et bien agencée. La localisation géographique est proche d'une des rues les plus commerçantes de Funchal. Il y a une machine à laver neuve et un sèche linge au rez de chaussée donc bien pratique. La salle de bains est très bien aussi. Les locaux sont très propres et bien équipés. Le bruit de la rue, même en étage élevé et les voisins dont un chien qui jappe sans cesse le soir, Les bars et restaurants en contrebas sont souvent bruyants, sans oublier les clochards qui se querellent et enfin les nombreux clients de passage deux ou trois jours au plus qui se fouttent des règles internes de la résidence. On entend absolument tout et j'ai très mal dormi. Comme il n'y a prsonne de permanence sur place, on doit appeler la police si on veut le calme après 22 heures. De plus, l'appartement que j'avais était orienté en plein soleil toute la journée. Du coup, on est ébloui sauf à utiliser le pare soleil transparent noir ce qui est plutôt désagréable. Enfin, les horaires de ménage inadéquats (dimanche fin d'après-midi) pour ceux qui comme moi restent un mois voire plus. J'ai regretté d'avoir payé d'avance si longtemps.

Emplacement dans funchal idéal, à deux pas de toutes commodités. Tres propre et plutôt bien équipé. Manque de transparence sur l'appartement qui vous est attribué. Vous pouvez tomber sur le 1er étage comme sur le 5ieme, vous pouvez avoir une terasse ou non, avoir un lit double ou deux lits simples... vous n'en savez rien avant d'arriver! Appartement trop bruyant

L'emplacement, la propreté, l'accueil, parking payant à proximité, mais stationnement possible à 100m gratuit dans les emplacements quand il y a de la place. La rue commerçante et piétonne et de l'autre côté, côté route une bonne boulangerie pour le petit-déjeuner en prenant les escaliers attenants au logement et en redescendant la rue. Apartamento pequeno, mas muito funcional, correspondeu totalmente às necessidades para uma semana de férias a dois na madeira. Apartamento bem apresentado, com facilidades a nível de cozinha e lavandaria. Bom sistema de check in e check out, que facilita a informação a quem aluga a casa. Apartamento bem localizado no centro do funchal. Ausência de estacionamento à porta, o que dificulta o processo de check in e check out. Fomos devidamente informados que só existia estacionamento pago nas imediações. Só tivemos contacto com uma pessoa que nos entregou a chave na recepção, e a nossa impressão deste momento não foi positiva.

Genialna lokalzacja, nowoczesny budynek z windą. Kompletnie wyposażona kuchnia i jeśli tylko ktoś chce, może sam gotować. Pokój świetnie wyposażony. Na parterze pralnia z suszarka, można więc zapakować się w bagaż podręczny i zrobić pranie. Niczego nie brakowało. Świetne miejsce na wakacyjny pobyt, warte polecenia. Widok z okna ale z 4 lub 5 piętra! Poniżej raczej nie ciekawy. Brakowało kosmetyków w łazience, mimo że Pani na powitaniu to zauważyła, nie zostały to uzupelnione! Zapach z odpływu w łazience, wystarczyło uzupełnić wodą aby odór z rur nie wychodził do pomieszczenia. Pozycja dla serwisu aby do prania ręczników dodawać vanish, nie będą pachniał stęchlizną. Może się czepiam, ale to jedyne minusy miejsca.

The staff member we met was excellent in suggestions and always reachable.
The room was modern and very clean, but a bit small than our expectations and did not have a sea view (unlile what i saw in pictures).
Kitchen was fully equiped including also salt, coffee powder and oil.
The toilet was modern looking but was less maintained. The door lock did not work, the shower door was defective and the toilet seat flap was unstable.
Apart from these small hickups, I would come back.
