Contemporary apartment completely renovated, near the ocean, in the area of Caniço de Baixo.
This property is located in the locality of the 'Reis Magos'. It is a fifteen minute drive from the centre of Funchal and ten minutes from the airport.
In a quiet area, it is ideal for those who like to stay close enough to the city not having big displacements, but equally far from the city movement.
This property has one bedroom with a double bed, another bedroom with two single beds, a living room with a sofa bed, and a complete bathroom. It accommodates up to 6 people.
AREA
The 'Reis Magos' area is known for its quietness and beautiful promenade, which connects the sea and the land in perfect harmony. The building is situated five hundred meters away from this fantastic walk, ideal for a walk in the summer evenings and winter afternoons or to make beach during the hottest days.
Nearby there are several bars and restaurants where you can enjoy our gastronomy or international dishes. Besides the closest options, you can also go to the centre of Caniço (five minutes by car) where you will find a greater variety of restaurants, a pharmacy and a shopping centre with a medium-sized supermarket.
GETTING AROUND
The best option to get to the apartment will be the transfer. Ask us to book one with our local partners. It is cheaper than the taxis you find at the airport.
If you rent a car, any navigation app can easily find the address.
To get to Funchal, there are bus stops nearby.
ACCESS TO PROPERTY
You have access to all areas of the property.
INTERACTION
We are always available to help or answer questions. We do our best to reply all requests. We also have an app for guests with all the important information about the property and other useful information for your stay.
OTHER OBSERVATIONS
- According to Portuguese law, all guests are required to present a valid ID. (passport or identity card).
- Check-in hour must be scheduled in advance. If it is not scheduled within a maximum of 48 hours before, guests will be subject to the availability of our team.
- All bed linen and towels are provided. We can also put a baby cot, a high chair and a baby bath if needed, but you should request. There are a first aid kit, extinguishers and fire blanket in the property.
ATTENTION
We inform that a Municipal Tourist Ecotax will be charged for person staying overnight in the municipality of Santa Cruz.
All guests staying in tourist developments and / or accommodation establishments, aged 13 or over, will be charged 2,00€ per person/night, up to a maximum 7 nigths stay/ 14€ per person. Close to your arrival, you will receive the link to pay this fee.

Free cancellation up to 14 days before check-in. If the reservation is made less than 14 days before check-in, the cancellation is free up to 48 hours after the reservation, up to a maximum of 5 days before check-in.
After that, guests may cancel up to 5 days prior to check-in and receive a refund of the price per night and the cleaning fee, but not of the service fee.

Einzig beim check in hätten wir uns mehr Anweisungen gewünscht: Man muss zuerst zur Schlüsselbox, dann mit diesem Schlüssel in die Wohnung, dort den anderen Schlüssel mit dem Öffner für die Tiefgarage holen. Erst danach kann man mit dem Auto in die Tiefgarage fahren. Wer die Tiefgarage nicht findet, bekommt ein Video, mit dem man dann gut hin findet. Dort muss man 1 Stockwerk nach unten und dann nach rechts, dort ist der reservierte Parkplatz
Mir wäre es lieber, wenn die city tax direkt bei der Buchung mitgezahlt wird und nicht überraschend noch danach dazu kommt

Enige kleine minpuntje is dat het tussen andere gebouwen staat, de balkon foto is een beetje verneukeratief want precies tussen 2 grote appartementencomplexen door kan je een stukje zee zien. In het voorseizoen (wij waren de eerste week van maart) had je maar heel even zon op het balkon, na 10u tot ong 14u (en dan ben je meestal niet in het apt)

Das Haus davor hat uns nicht gestört, da man so auch den ganzen Tag auf dem Balkon sitzen kann und keine direkte Sonne abbekommt bzw. es auch immer etwas kühler als draußen war.
Das Apartment liegt in der 2. Etage, der Hauseingang allerdings in der 4. Etage. Das führte zunächst zu etwas Verwirrung, das Apartment im Haus zu finden. Die Schlüsselbox befindet sich direkt am Hauseingang.
In den Schlafzimmern hat man keine Steckdosen am Bett.
In der Küche befinden sich nur Tassen, die etwas an kleine Suppenschälchen erinnern. Wir haben uns einfach 2 Kaffeetassen als Andenken gekauft und konnten so unseren Kaffee auf dem Balkon genießen, ohne dass er schnell kalt wurde.
Ansonsten stand Kaffee, Olivenöl, Salz und etwas Tee zur Verfügung.
Falls man doch mal den TV nutzen möchte: es geht nur HDMI (irgendwo findet man 3/4 deutsche Sender).
Es gibt Duschbad, einen Fön und extra Wechselhandtücher in den Kleiderschränken.

Die Mitarbeiterin war super zu erreichen und konnte uns schnell den Zugang zur Wohnung und Tiefgarage ermöglichen.
Die Ausstattung entspricht komplett der Beschreibung. Alles in allem sehr zu empfehlen.
Ein kleines Manko, welches der Vermieter in den Griff bekommen sollte wenn er weiter gute Bewertungen bekommen möchte: In der Küche befindet sich eine Ameisenstraße. Es wurde auch seitens des Vermieters Ameisenfallen aufgestellt aber diese nützen scheinbar nichts.

I prefer higher floor with better sea view. I was confused about recycling. I didnt know where to put plastic, there were many bins with no signs.

The check-in instructions were the only hick-up we had, as we arrived quite early and the person we were assigned that was supposed to handle our check-in hadn't arrived yet. I think it would be easier for other guests to self check in if you specified that the lockbox is at the Estr. Avelino Pinto entrance, not the R. Dom Francisco Santana entrance.

We appreciate all the comments and feedback that guests share with us, only then we can improve. Mostly, when it comes to pertinent but above all real situations. It clearly visible that the guest obtained incorrect information using dubious sources resulting in this ill intended review (if the guest had a reservation of 6 nights how she mention 12 days without elevator?).
The things exposed here are not true and are clearly exaggerated. We are always willing to help with whatever is necessary, but we cannot do anything if the complaint arises with malicious intent. Still, we showed a willingness to help (and continued). We guarantee that security, privacy and communication are always preserved. We also confirm that no one entered the apartment or did anything without the guest's consent. Also, all information provided by us is correct, accurate and accessible in various ways.
There are things we cannot control or predict will happen. Although our properties undergo numerous safety, cleaning and maintenance checks, little things can always happen (like a pipe breaking). Please note that it was promptly repaired and cleaned, and this reported situation was completely and quickly resolved in 1 hour. This is one of the things that sets us apart as hosts :)
Surprisingly, we are seeing this less positive review, as the guest ended up agreeing with one of the several solutions we presented. Fortunately this is an isolated situation in the community ;)

Thank you for your input. Madeira having a tropical climate is prone to pests we have taken precautions to have this fixed. The pictures on Booking.com show the best angles from the windows to the sea but it is clearly pictured that the sea view can be seen from on of the bedrooms and the side of the living room, the building in front is also pictured. We have also responded to all your emails in due time, during the holidays.

La foto que aparece en booking es confusa lo que tenemos enfrente es un edificio y bastante cerca por cierto. El mar se ve en la esquina de la terraza.
La persona de contacto no fue de ayuda todos los problemas con los que nos encontramos no los soluciono.
En los días de alojamiento no funcionó el
ascensor teniendo que subir 4 pisos con las maletas, la compra,…
Desde que entramos en el apartamento comuniqué que en la
mesa de la cocina había hormigas, no solucionaron el problema. las hormigas aparecían después en los armarios.Tardaron 6 días en traer un producto
Se paga la limpieza y solo cambian una vez las sábanas y ponen un juego de toallas.

The hosts were very responsive about it and did apologize.
The residents in the apartment building were also not very pleasant with us which I realize is not the hosts fault, just made for some uncomfortable situations.
The location is great and close to the airport.
