Far enough from the hustle and bustle of the city but not isolated, the location of this property allows for relaxation and also easy commuting.
The villa has 3 floors, where the terrace stands out where you can have meals taking advantage of the barbecue and catch some vitamin D while watching the Atlantic Ocean.
With two bedrooms, one with a double bed, the other with two single beds, this property has a maximum capacity to host 6 people making use of the sofa bed in the living room.
Enjoy the terrace and the sun on the south side of our island, go to one of the nearby beaches and enjoy Caniço and Madeira.
AREA
From here you can go anywhere on the island, due to the proximity of the highway access, which allows you to move quickly to the points of interest.
Near the apartment there is a restaurant and snack-bars. A five-minute drive away is the center of Caniço, where you have access to pharmacies, bars, restaurants, a hypermarket and a medium-sized shopping center.
If you wish to find other types of places or activities, the city of Funchal is 15 minutes away by car.
HOW TO GET TO
The best option to reach the apartment will be the transfer. Ask us to book one with our local partners. It is cheaper than the cabs you find at the airport. If you rent a car, any navigation application will easily find the address.
There is a bus stop 5 minutes walk from the villa.

You have access to all areas of the property.
INTERACTION
We are always available for help or questions. We will do our best to accommodate all requests. We also have a guest application with all the important information about the property and other useful information for your stay.
OTHER REMARKS
- According to Portuguese law, all guests are required to present a valid identification document (e.g. passport, identity card).
- Check-in must be scheduled in advance. If not booked within a maximum of 48 hours, guests will be subject to our staff's availability.
- All bed linens and towels are provided. We can also place a crib, high chair, and baby bathtub if needed. There is a first aid kit, fire extinguishers and fire blanket at all properties.

We inform that a Municipal Tourist Ecotax will be charged for person staying overnight in the municipality of Santa Cruz.

Gepflegtes Haus für bis zu fünf Personen mit netten Cafés und Restaurants der einheimischen Bevölkerung in der Nähe. Leider ist der Kamin nur Deko und kann nicht genutzt werden - anders als auf der Seite beschrieben. Da für uns der Kamin der ausschlaggebende Grund für die Buchung dieser Unterkunft war, waren wir natürlich entsprechend enttäuscht, dass wir ihn nicht nutzen konnten. Sonst lief aber alles reibungslos.

Nice place to stay for a big family. The apartment isn't ideal for two couples. The double bed on the ground floor is not comfortable (it consists of two separate beds that can be moved around). The room is also not well soundproofed: we could clearly hear noises coming from the kitchen and the toilets upstairs.

Apartament jest przyjemnie i funkcjonalnie urządzony. Z całym sprzętem jakiego można potrzebować na wyjeździe. Ma 3 tarasy/balkony z których można podziwiać przepiękny widok na ocean z wysepką nieopodal. Można obserwować samoloty i statki. Pomimo poniżej opisanych utrudnień zdecydowałabym się drugi raz, a więc polecam! Przy check-in brakowało informacji gdzie konkretnie znajduje się skrzynka z kluczami. Pomocni okazali się sąsiedzi. Informacja otrzymana przed przyjazdem wskazuje, że apartament znajduje się w budynku E. Budynek nie jest oznaczony. Łazienki wymagają doczyszczenia.

Wir haben uns zu dritt sehr wohl gefühlt. Der Blick auf den Atlantik war fantastisch. Die Räume sehr angenehm modern für uns und vier WCs und zwei Duschen sehr angenehm. Nach einer Woche wurde Wäsche komplett gewechselt. Das war auch aufmerksam. Gerne wieder!

All in all we were very satisfied with the place and would gladly choose it again. It has a good location: relatively close to Funchal, 5 minutes from the motorway and still quiet. It is spacious and huge, actually a lot bigger than what we expected. It is very well equipped, the only thing we missed is sharp knives (for food preparation). Stable high speed wifi. Comfortable beds. Huge dining table. Private parking behind closed gate. Nice ocean view from the balconies and from the dining table. There are only a few minor things that could be improved: broken soap dispenser and toilet brush, useless dish washing machine. The self check-in instructions could have been clearer, although we figured it out ultimately. Communication with "An Island" in writing didn't work (we received no answer) but when reaching out to them by phone, they were very helpful and flexible that we appreciated a lot.

Plus za czystość i piękne widoki z tarasu i balkonów. 2 łazienki. możliwość parkowania w garażu lub przy apartamencie. Gospodarz bardzo miły i pomocny. Lokalizacja na uboczu, 15 min na lotnisko oraz do Funchal. Raczej ciężko bez samochodu mimo, że przystanek jest niedaleko to nie wyobrażam sobie Bardzo wygodne łóżka. Jak jesteś z małym dzieckiem trzeba uważać na schody, ponieważ są 3 poziomy. Przydałoby się więcej naczyń w kuchni. Poza tym wszystko super.

Der Aufenthalt gestaltete sich sehr ruhig und ohne Probleme. Wer lieber ein bisschen mehr Leben und Grübel haben möchte, sollte sich allerdings eine andere Wohnung suchen. Wer die Ruhe und den Blick aufs Meer sucht, ist hier genau richtig. Einzig und allein die ganzen Hunde in der Nachbarschaft sind zu hören. Außerdem kann man gut die Flugzeuge bei ihrem Landeanflug beobachten.

Maison sur 3 étages très agréable avec magnifique vue sur l’océan. Terrasse grande avec possibilité de barbecue. Dommage que la cuisine ne soit pas au même étage que la terrasse mais nous en avons malgré tout bien profité. Plusieurs Wc et deux salles de bains qui facilitent la vie au quotidien.

Wir verbrachten als Familie mit 3 Kindern (davon 2 Teenies) einen wunderschönen Aufenhalt. Die Wohnung ist toll gelegen, um Ausflüge zu unternehmen. Auch waren wir froh, in der Nähe des Flughafens zu sein da unser Rückflug sehr früh war. Das Beste an der Wohnung ist die wunderschöne Aussicht auf das Meer - Sonnenuntergänge, Sonnenaufgänge sind vom Balkon oder der Terrasse aus zu geniesen. Einfach wundervoll.
Unter einziger Nachteil war, dass während über einer Woche Handwerker in der Nachbarwohnung tätig waren, hier wurden wir jeweils früh morgens durch den schlagenden Lärm geweckt. Ich vermute, dass hier eine Grundsanierung der Wohnung durchgeführt wird. Aber ansonsten war alles Bestens und die Bilder entsprechen vollauf der Realität. Das Untergeschoss mit dem Fernseher könnte noch viel mehr genutzt werden, da ist räumlich noch viel Platz vorhanden.

A FANTASTIC apartment with a terrace for sunbathing or eating, plus 2 other balconies overlooking the ocean. Very spacious and clean. Lots of amenities. Good communication with management company. Steep driveway and roads. A couple restaurants and bars nearby which were VERY affordable. You will absolutely LOVE the views, especially sunrise. Very quiet inside, but a few barking dogs nearby when on the balcony.

Everything was perfect. The location is really convenient, 10 minutes by car from airport and maximum 1 hour to the farthest point on the island. The property had everything we needed, it was clean and the communication with landlord was easy going. The view is spectacular, we could watch the sunrise in the morning from the balcony. We could park the car inside the garage or outside near our vila. This place felt like home. The only regret we had is that we didn’t stay more days there. 🙂🤍

Die Wohnung hat alles was man für vier Erwachsene und ein Kind braucht. Sehr praktisch sind die vier Toiletten. Die Aussicht auf die gegenüberliegenden Inseln ist spektakulär und auch anfliegende Flugzeuge kann man sehr gut beobachten. Dies ist auch ohne Fluglärm möglich, nur die Hunde der Nachbarn sind zeitweise ein wenig nervig. Wer nicht kochen möchte, der muss oberhalb des Hauses an der großen Kreuzung nach rechts unten laufen dort ist eine gemütliche Dorfkneipe ( Ricanto da Pitada) oder nach links oben zum Restaurante Vila Verde. Beide sind fußläufig gut zu erreichen und gegenüber des Restaurant liegt auch noch das Bistro Boutique Vista Bela wo man morgens tolle und günstige Riesenbrötchen und andere Backwaren bekommt. Wir kommen gerne mal wieder 😊

An sich ist die Unterkunft sehr schön und stilvoll eingerichtet. Auch die Lage fanden wir gut. Leider konnten wir unseren Aufenthalt aber nicht ganz so gut genießen, da die Sauberkeit und Pflege für uns nicht gestimmt hat.

Mooi appartement met mooi uitzicht maar de hygiene was niet goed. Toen wij aankwamen was het appartement nog vies terwijl het schoongemaakt zou zijn. Er zaten vlekken op het aanrechtblad. De tafels en stoelen waren plakkerig. De grond was vies. De laatste dagen vonden we mega grote kakkerlakken in het appartement. En een dag later lagen er buiten voor de voordeur ook dode kakkerlakken. De spatels etc in de keuken waren niet goed schoon en zat nog allemaal aangekoekt eten aan.
Wij verbleven 10 dagen en er is op dag 5 een tussentijdse schoonmaker gekomen, ze heeft de bedden verschoont en gedweild verder niks.

Wir haben die Zeit in Canico sehr genossen. Der Ausblick vom Balkon ist traumhaft. Empfehlenswert ist ein Auto, denn von dort kann man alle schönen Ecken der Insel gut erreichen. Die Ausstattung des Hauses ist sehr gut. Ich kann dieses sehr gut weiter empfehlen

Sehr gemütliches Apartment mit insgesamt 3 Terrassen auf denen man sich herrlich die Haut verbrutzeln kann. Bis es schön rot glüht. Für die körperliche Ertüchtigung sorgt der steile Aufstieg aus Canico. Die verbrannten Kalorien lassen sich hervorragend mit dem Mousse Chocolate bei Laranjinha wieder auffüllen. Was will man mehr?

Die Unterkunft hat uns super gefallen. Es war alles da, was man braucht. Sie ist schön groß und verteilt sich gut. Auch die drei Balkone waren super. Alles ist sehr modern und in einem super Zustand. Gostámos muito da estadia! A casa é grande, está bem decorada e bem equipada (tem forno, o que não é nada comum em airbnb) e tem uma vista e-s-p-e-c-t-a-c-u-l-a-r ! A comunicação com os anfitriões foi fácil e a garagem com acesso directo à casa foi um plus, especialmente no dia em que choveu. Só tivemos pena de não ficar mais dias!

The location is great, overlooking the ocean - there is a patio and 2 balconies, all with great views and comfy chairs to enjoy the area. The apartment itself is veery spacious and natural light comes in. It was very clean in the apartment and all furniture is new, modern and comfy. It is a great place to stay for a few days, especially for groups of 4, since it has plenty of space.

В целом вилла хорошая, есть вся нужная бытовая техника, кухонные принадлежности и расходники. Также нам понравилось расположение и наличие гаража. Но общение с хозяином было очень сложным. Перед заселением нам прислали ссылку на сторонний ресурс, где хотел общаться хозяин. И только на нём мы нашли подробности как можно заехать на виллу, на arbnb вы этого не найдете. Там была инструкция как попасть на территорию, на которой находится много апартаментов и они все с виду одинаковые. На ключах была надпись villa skyline, но дома с такой табличкой не было. Пришлось звонить хозяину и спрашивать. Он сказал, что это 3 дверь, но на самом деле нужные апартаменты это 4 дверь (это нам сказали соседи). Ещё один нюанс в заселении, что мы были на машине, а ключи которые мы нашли по инструкции были только от калитки, но не от ворот. Оказалось, что ключи от ворот находятся в апартаментах. Также для каждого дома есть своё парко место, для наших апартаментов это номер 14, но это также не было указано на странице или сообщениях arbnb. Мы нашли эту информацию на буклете внутри дома.
Мы писали хозяину в сообщениях на сайте, но ответил только спустя несколько дней. Коммуникация была очень слабая. Также ближе к выезду нам сказали, что мы не оплатили eco fee, который составляет 15 евро. Хотя мы его оплатили ещё до заселения. Даже после того, как мы прислали выписку с банка хозяин продолжал утверждать, что ссылка на оплату, которую он нам прислал до заселения была не рабочая. Коммуникация сильно испортила впечатление от общего пребывания

The facilities were in very good standard and very clean. Great car parking spot. Good solar exposition. There was never really hot water. If there would be sunny, the water would get warmer, but never really hot. In the winter when is cold outside, it's not really pleasant to come home for a cold shower. Also that we rented the house for 4 people (and paid extra for it), but there were only bed sheets/towels for 3 people.

Das Haus ist schön und geräumig, die Einrichtung modern. Es hat eine sehr schöne Terrasse mit einem tollen Blick auf das Meer. Sehr zentral gelegen, vor allem, wenn man sich die nähere Gegend um Funchal genauer anschauen möchte. Check-in war um 16 Uhr und wir fragten, ob wir auch eher kommen könnten. Das Haus war bereits fertig gereinigt, aber wir sollten dann 15 € extra bezahlen. Inzwischen könnten auch einige kleinere Mängel ausgebessert werden.

Très bon emplacement pour cette maison pour se rendre dans toute l île. Elle est très agréable et très propre mais il ne faut pas avoir peur de monter et descendre les escaliers car la maison est sur 3 niveaux. Cela permet de chauffer les muscles pour les randonnées...;)

We stayed for a month. It is a very spacious & clean house. It has all you need! Comfort. We stayed with the 3 of us (couple & brother) and could easily find some ''me-time'' in the house as well. We also loved the terrace and had some nice BBQ nights up there! We had a car, that made it very easy since the surrounding can be tuff to walk (steep hills) but lot of things in walking distance.

Stylish and comfortable house with a lots of space and beautiful view over the ocean. Plus: car parking in the garage and amazing barbecue on the terrace. It has everything you need to enjoy your stay in Madeira. Absolutely recommend.
