Modern and sophisticated apartment, with an inspiring artistic decoration present in all areas. This property has a suite, with double bed, bathroom with "walk-in shower", direct access to the garden, which provides a cosy atmosphere. The living room area, with view and access to the garden, cable TV and a comfortable sofa, is shared with the dining area. The kitchen is large, fully equipped and also connects to the outside. There is a guest WC available.
The private garden, with dining table and sun lounger, is the ex-libris of this apartment.
This property has the capacity to host a maximum of 2 people.

AREA
Property situated in one of the most prestigious areas of Funchal. This apartment is close to a pleasant seafront promenade, supermarkets, pharmacies, shops and the Forum Madeira Shopping Center, which have several international renowned stores and movie theatres.
Nearby there are several bars and restaurants where you can delight our gastronomy or international cuisine. In addition to the nearby options, you can travel to Funchal city centre (5 min by car) where you will find a greater variety of restaurants.
Also, in the Funchal’s city centre there are several tourist attractions and information about cultural activities, radical activities, activities connected to nature, whatever the purpose of your visit to Madeira Island.
GETTING AROUND
The best option to get to the property will be the transfer. Ask us to book one with our local partners. It is cheaper than the taxis you find at the airport.
If you rent a car, any navigation app can easily find the address.
ACCESS TO PROPERTY
You have access to all areas of the property.
INTERACTION
We are always available to help or answer questions. We do our best to reply all requests. We also have an app for guests with all the important information about the property and other useful information for your stay.
OTHER OBSERVATIONS
- According to Portuguese law, all guests are required to present a valid ID. (passport or identity card).
- Check-in hour must be scheduled in advance. If it is not scheduled within a maximum of 48 hours before, guests will be subject to the availability of our team.
- All bed linen and towels are provided. We can also put a baby cot, a high chair and a baby bath if needed, but you should request. There are a first aid kit, extinguishers and fire blanket in the property.
ATTENTION
Please be advised that a Tourist Fee will be charged to all persons staying overnight in the municipality of Funchal. Thus, all customers staying in tourist resorts and/or accommodation establishments, aged 13 or over, will be charged €2.00 per person/night, up to a maximum of 7 nights and a maximum of €14.00 per person/stay. When you arrive, you will receive a link to pay this municipal tax.

The apartment is lovely and nicely decorated. It’s in a good location - within walking distance to the supermarket, shops, restaurants and lido. It’s also only a 30 min walk to the old town of Funchal. The apartment is on a main road which can be a bit noisy but that didn’t bother us and it was nice to eat meals out in the garden. I would definitely recommend a stay here and the communication from An island apart was great!
Just a few minor areas for improvement. Overall the apartment was lovely but there were a few amenities missing. There were no hand towels for either bathroom or any spare towels at all, and no tea towels or ironing board. I can see other reviews have also highlighted these areas. There also appeared to be a problem with the drains or the in-sink macerator as there was a bit of a funky smell. But overall a fantastic stay and would stay again!

Die Unterkunft hat in allen Aspekten überzeugt und ist uneingeschränkt empfehlenswert. Die Zimmer waren sauber, geräumig und geschmackvoll sowie wertig eingerichtet. Überrascht hat uns der hohe Komfort der Betten, der für eine erholsame Nachtruhe sorgte, auch wenn dieses mit 1,40m gerne ein bisschen größer sein könnte. Toll war der Garten mit Südlage. Auch die Lage der Unterkunft war super, da sie sowohl Ruhe bot als auch eine gute Anbindung an öffentliche Verkehrsmittel hatte.
Die Küche hatte allerhand Ausstattung von Kaffemaschien bis Toaster. Was fehlte waren allerdings noch ein paar scharfe Messer und Schneidebretter (und ein Bügelbrett). Es gab je 2 Dusch- und Handtücher & ein Geschirrtuch, welche nach 5 Tagen gewechselt wurden -dank Waschmaschine gerade ausreichend - andernfalls etwas knapp bemessen bei 2 Toiletten. Die Garage war etwas schwieriger zu befahren, aber nach einer Weile hatten wir es ganz gut raus - selbst mit einem VW T-Roc . Wir kommen gerne wieder :)

At this time of year, it is normal on our island for there to be mosquitoes and lots of insects, which fortunately have pest control in homes like the one we stayed on.
In relation to this, the house has air conditioning, exactly so you don't have to open the windows to cool the house and of course mosquitoes can enter.
Issues related to lighting are already being discussed with the building and condominium construction company so that it can be improved.

Wunderschöne moderne Wohnung mit toller Ausstattung und sicherem Parkplatz
Die Klimaanlage war fantastisch!
Der Garten war wunderschön und es gab viele kleine Eidechsen mit denen wir uns angefreundet haben.
Wenn dann nur Kleinigkeiten.
Es war zu Beginn leider kein Klopapier da, was einem erst auffällt wenn es zu spät ist (es wurde jedoch sehr schnell vom Besitzer gelöst)
Die Tagesdecke auf dem Bett war sehr dreckig.

We like the apartment. It was very close to the Quinta da Casa Branca where we spent a lot of time.
Very private, well equipped and with a nice garden.
We appreciated the flexibility on an earlier check-in.
What can be improved:
1. There is a need for a bigger bed in the room. It is very difficult for 2 people to sleep in it. It is very narrow.
2. You need better blackout curtains in the sleeping room as there is a lot of light coming from the street. Also there are some lights beeping all the time during the night. Those ones should be turned off.
The rest was pretty good.

Apartmán je spíše na efekt než praktický, malá postel, malý gauč, spousta obrazů a nevyužitelného nábytku, co je fajn je terasa a malá zahrádka. Čekání přes hodinu na paní, která přijela udělat check-in bylo po celém dnu velmi nepříjemné.

We stayed at this air b and b for our 5 day vacation on the island, overall it was good. The air b and b appeared like it did in the photos, was just up the hill from restaurants, and grocery store/shops. It was important for us to have a washer and dryer and it was one unit that did both and was quite confusing at first. The air b and b mentions a user manual for appliances in the condo but was told it got thrown away. The other thing that was lacking was towels, the first bathroom had no hand towels at all for washing your hands, and the bedroom bathroom had 3 towels that were over used and we felt like we had to keep washing them considering we were there for 5 days. It did have a parking garage for your car that was hard to park at the angle it was at but manageable after a few tries.

We stayed un Casa Branca for two weeks and it has much nicer than a hotel. You got a lot more space, a full kitchen and a small backyard. The place had also a nice garage which made it very convenient as parking in Funchal is hard.

La casa tenía todo tipo de comodidades, muy moderna y con un jardín maravilloso. Televisión grande y moderna y dormitorio muy amplio con cómodo colchón. Para tener un solo dormitorio, es de agradecer que tenga además de un cuarto de baño, otro aseo. Fácil acceso al parking.
En la cocina que era muy moderna, había un olor insoportable de las tuberías. Teníamos que dejar la puerta cerrada y la del acceso al jardín abierta para que se ventilara, olía como si hubiera un animal muerto dentro, horroroso. Supongo que el alojamiento pondrá solución, es muy desagradable.

We really enjoyed our stay in the apartment. Although the apartment is on a busy street (that could be noisy if you want to chill in the garden), it did not bother us, we left early in the morning for hiking/sightseeing and only arrived back late in the afternoon when we either cooked something easy or went to a restaurant nearby (there are plenty of them).

- La cafetera (tipo Melitta) no disponía de papeles filtradores para poderla utilizar.
- La la lámpara de la mesita de noche, al lado de la puerta de entrada a la habitación, la que esta al lado de sofá, esta dando problemas la bombilla. Tenéis que cambiarla.
La ducha resbala, se puede solucionar con una alfombra de goma dentro de la propia ducha. Por lo demás, todo perfecto.

A casa é maravilhosa. É extremamente confortável e bem decorada. Está muito bem equipada. O jardim é uma mais valia para usufruir das refeições ou de pequenos momentos tal como a garagem privativa. É super próximo do Lido e do comercio e restaurantes sem estarmos no meio da confusão. Equiparam a casa quando souberam que nos íamos deslocar com um bebé pequeno. Recomendo!

The apartment is as described. It is new, hence in good condition. Small kitchen appliances doesn’t match overall quality of the place. Equipped for cooking. The only downside is slightly worn bedding. The garden overlooks the street, that gives some noise and smell during day and night. This won’t be a problem with closed windows and blinds. Big wardrobe. Parking place enough for SUV. Few shops at a walking distance. May be a good point to explore the island and staying for 3-6 days.

The location is great, we rented a car so we were happy to stay away from Funchal city centre, which is only a 5 to 10 minutes drive away.
Flexible check-in - we arrived quite late due to flight delay but the friendly representative from An Island waited for us at the apartment until we arrived - thank you so much.
The apartment is very spacious and stylishly decorated. The kitchen is well equipped. Underground parking is a plus.
There are quite a lot of nice restaurants nearby which we highly recommend trying.
Overall we enjoyed our stay very much and will definitely want to stay in the same apartment again in the future.
Flexible check-in - we arrived quite late due to flight delay but the friendly representative from An Island waited for us at the apartment until we arrived - thank you so much.

Die Wohnung war sehr komfortabel. Eigene Garage, Garten und man konnte die Wohnung ohne schwierige Verkehrsverhältnisse erreichen.
Lediglich einen zweiten Liegestuhl sowie einen Wäscheständer haben wir in der Ausstattung vermisst, als wir unsere Wäsche aufhängen wollten, aber das ist sehr pingelig formuliert.
Ansonsten Top :)

Très bel et grand appartement. On se croirait dans un hôtel 4 étoiles.
Situé proche de la zo e hôtelière avec beaucoup de restaurants pas très loin.
Hôte très réactif, j’ai dû réserver au tout dernier moment et 1h après l’appartement était disponible.
L’appartement donne sur la rue, c’est un peu bruyant le matin et en fin de journée.

Die Wohnung war ein Traum! Super Einrichtung, eine wunderschöne Wohnung. Die Lage war gut, wir konnten zu Fuss in die Stadt und mit dem Auto überall auf die Insel. Die Garage war sehr praktisch. Wir würden sofort wieder buchen. Wir hatten nach drei Tagen einen Reinigungsservice, was super war.

Fantastic quality accommodation in a great location, lots of space and privacy - preferable to staying in a hotel! Even had private offstreet garage/undercroft for parking.

Die Unterkunft ist wirklich wunderschön, top modern und gut ausgestattet. Obwohl außerhalb vom Zentrum von Funchal, haben wir alles gut erreicht. Lasst euch nicht durch die geringen Bewertungen abschrecken, die Beschreibung und Bilder sind so wie angegeben. Zudem hat man eine Garagenbox in der Tiefgarage mit Funkfernbedienung zum öffnen, falls man mit Mietwagen unterwegs ist auf Madeira. Das parken am Anfang ist etwas fummelig aber machbar, wenn man keinen Riesen SUV gemietet hat. Wir hatten einen VW Polo gemietet.
Alles in allem eine schöne, sehr saubere Ferienwohnung, welche auch nach 7 Tagen vom Betreiber gereinigt wurde mit frischen Handtüchern und neuer Bettwäsche bezogen wurde. Den Rest haben wir zwischendurch selbst gewaschen mit der Waschmaschine.
Fazit: Absolute Empfehlung wenn man auf Frühstück und Abendessen verzichten kann, bei den ohnehin günstigen Restaurants und Lebensmittel auf der Insel. Einziges Manko, ein paar Handtücher mehr wären toll gewesen.

The apartment was very nice and exactly as described. Modern and comfortable design. The location is great and close to everything. Might be a little bit noisy during a day because of a road nearby but it didn't bother us much. Overall - highly recommended!
