Country house in a quiet area, with garden and fruit trees, ideal for those seeking a quiet, private and welcoming rural environment. Located in Canhas, Ponta do Sol, this house offers its guests a harmonious setting and the experience of direct contact with nature in its purest state.
Country house, with two floors, ideal for those seeking a vacation destination in a rural atmosphere. On the entrance floor of this typically Madeiran house, you will find an open-plan living and dining room, access to the kitchen and a suite with double bed, private bathroom with shower and a single sofa bed. The access to the upper floor is made through a spiral staircase. On this level there is an office area, a bathroom with shower, and a bedroom with two single beds, which gives access to a nice balcony.
The architecture of the house and the stone walls are typical of the area where it is located, which makes the rural experience even more authentic. The quiet atmosphere where this property is inserted, allows you to hear and enjoy the chirping of the birds, in a private grass garden. The outdoor dining area also connects to the cultivated area where you can find fruit trees accessible to guests, vines, lemon, anone, and tangerine trees, as well as yams, spinach, and other varieties of plants and flowers.
A perfect place for those who wish to escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. Ideal for relaxing with family and very close to Levada dos Canhas, for those who enjoy hiking and being in touch with nature.

AREA
This property is located in Canhas, Ponta do Sol, in a very quiet area. This house is close to Levada dos Canhas and a few minutes away from Madalena do Mar, a town well known for paragliding and where you can find a beach, bars and restaurants with fresh fish. Very close to this property you will find mini markets and some bars.
Canhas is about 30 minutes drive from the center of Funchal.
If you choose to go to the Funchal centre, take the opportunity to explore the city and find out more information about all sorts of activities you can do during your holiday: cultural activities, radical activities, nature related activities... whatever the purpose of your visit to Madeira Island!
GETTING AROUND
The best option to get to the property will be the transfer. Ask us to book one with our local partners. It is cheaper than the taxis you find at the airport.
If you rent a car, any navigation app can easily find the address.
ACCESS TO PROPERTY
You have access to all areas of the property.
INTERACTION
We are always available to help or answer questions. We do our best to reply all requests. We also have an app for guests with all the important information about the property and other useful information for your stay.
OTHER OBSERVATIONS
- According to Portuguese law, all guests are required to present a valid ID. (passport or identity card).
- Check-in hour must be scheduled in advance. If it is not scheduled within a maximum of 48 hours before, guests will be subject to the availability of our team.
- All bed linen and towels are provided. We can also put a baby cot, a high chair and a baby bath if needed, but you should request. There are a first aid kit, extinguishers and fire blanket in the property.
RULES
We want you to feel at home. We do not ask for more than respect for neighbours and care for the property, in addition to not smoking inside the house.
ATTENTION
-Please be advised that a Tourist Fee will be charged to all persons staying overnight in the municipality of Ponta do Sol. Thus, all customers staying in tourist resorts and/or accommodation establishments, aged 13 or over, will be charged €2.00 per person/night, up to a maximum of 7 nights and a maximum of €14.00 per person/stay. When you arrive, you will receive a link to pay this municipal tax.
-No pets allowed. Please don’t feed wild or domestic animals.
-No parties allowed.

Cancelation policy
Free cancellation up to 14 days before check-in. If the reservation is made less than 14 days before check-in, the cancellation is free up to 48 hours after the reservation, up to a maximum of 5 days before check-in.
After that, guests may cancel up to 5 days prior to check-in and receive a refund of the price per night and the cleaning fee, but not of the service fee.

Einfahrt von der Straße sehr schmal und leicht zu übersehen. Auffahrt zum Haus auch nur mit rangieren möglich.

loved that could pick fresh lemons from the garden and made some lemonade.
Lovely fireplace with wood provided kept us toasty warm in the evenings.
Fully equipped kitchen was very useful and handy.

In the ground floor the humidity was usually higher so for showers we used the bathroom in the 1st floor mainly.
Since its located between the coast and Paul da Serra we went for several trips to both sides, great for exploring!

Gute Ausgangslage für Wanderungen in der Umgebung.
Kleiner Supermarkt 5 Autominuten von der Unterkunft entfernt.
Während der Mitte unseres Aufenthalts (10 Tage) wurde das Haus geputzt, Bettwäsche und Handtücher gewechselt.
Das Haus liegt sehr steil am Berg, Zufahrt zum Haus etwas versteckt.
Parking eng.
Wir haben uns in der ruhigen Gegend sehr wohl gefühlt und können einen Aufenthalt in dieser Unterkunft für Ruhesuchende sehr empfehlen.

Ein kleines Manko an der Wohnung war der kleine Schimmel im unteren Badezimmer. Hier ist die Lüftung auch nicht so leicht, da es kein Fenster nach draußen gibt, nur ein Fenster in eine Vorkammer. Ich empfehle das obere Badezimmer ;-)
Ansonsten war die Wohnung sehr ruhig gelegen und wir konnten nachts super schlafen. Die Wohnung liegt relativ weit oben am Hang, sodass man jeden Abend etwas fahren muss. Die Straße ist sehr eng, wir empfehlen einen kleinen Mietwagen.

Die Gegend war auch sehr malerisch und ruhig gelegen. In Laufweite ist eine Bar mit einem kleinen Lebensmittelladen.
Absolut empfehlenswert, wenn wir mal wieder auf Madeira Urlaub machen, werden wir definitiv wieder diese Unterkunft buchen.
Check-In & Check-out waren auch absolut einfach und gut erklärt.
5/5 Sterne sind absolut gerechtfertigt.

Descanso y tiene unas maravillosas vistas, al estar lejos de zonas urbanas, se pueden contemplar las estrellas por la noche.
La zona te permite vivir la experiencia de Madeira real, local.
El alojamiento estaba impecable, nuevo y limpio.
Dispone de aparcamiento propio.
Totalmente recomendable.

Muy confortable, silencioso para el descanso y con maravillosas vistas. Al no estar cerca de centro urbanos, se aprecian perfectamente las estrellas.
Tiene todo lo necesario para tu estancia y aparcamiento en el propio alojamiento.
