Apartment located in a quiet and serene area of Caniço, in Santa Cruz. It is a tourist area and where many foreigners also reside. It is very close to the beach and the most awarded and certified diving center of Madeira Island - Manta Diving Center. Just a few steps away are cafes, restaurants serving delicious local and international dishes, as well as supermarkets for all your daily needs.
This accommodation is 10 minutes away from the airport and 15 minutes away from Funchal.
If you choose to go to the center of Funchal, take the opportunity to explore the city and look for more information about all kinds of activities you can do during your vacation: cultural activities, radical activities, nature related activities... whatever the purpose of your visit to Madeira Island!

The best option to get to the property will be the transfer. Ask us to book one with our local partners. It is cheaper than the taxis you find at the airport.
If you rent a car, any navigation app can easily find the address.

You have access to all areas of the property.

We are always available to help or answer any questions. We do our best to reply all requests. We also have an app for guests with all the important information about the property and other useful information for your stay.
OTHER OBSERVATIONS
- According to Portuguese law, all guests are required to present a valid ID. (passport or identity card).
- Check-in hour must be scheduled in advance. If it is not scheduled within a maximum of 48 hours before, guests will be subject to the availability of our team.
- All bed linen and towels are provided. We can also put a baby cot, a high chair and a baby bath if needed, but you should request. There are a first aid kit, extinguishers and fire blanket in the property.
ATTENTION
We inform that a Municipal Tourist Ecotax will be charged for person staying overnight in the municipality of Santa Cruz. All guests staying in tourist developments and / or accommodation establishments, aged 13 or over, will be charged 2,00€ per person/night, up to a maximum 7 nigths stay/ 14€ per person. Close to your arrival, you will receive the link to pay this fee.

Nagyon csendes környék, kifejezetten pihenni vágyóknak. A helyi busz, ami bevisz Funchalba 3 perc séta a szállástól, ami rendkívül kényelmes. Az egyik legszebb strand van 10 perc sétára, érdemes megnézni. Boltok, éttermek szintén 2-5 percre vannak a szállástól. Egy dolog nem tesztett, a matrac. Rugós matrac nekem nagyon kényelmetlen volt. A tisztasága, a bútorok minősége teljesen rendben van.

Ist eine sehr ruhig Gegend. Teilweise hört man abends das Meer rauschen. Alles wahr für uns gut zu Fuss erreichbar. Sauberes grosses Badezimmer. Das wirklich Negative war, dass das Schlafzimmer vor dem Fenster kein Mückenschutz hat.

The garden looks pretty It was extremely hard to find, took at least an hour. Also the bathroom and kitchen werent properly clean, extreme stench. Also the people who rent it out live upstairs, so there’s not really any privacy in the garden as you share it.

Die Unterkunft ist sehr schön und ruhig gelegen. Der Self-Check-In war total unkompliziert, wir haben sehr genaue Anweisungen bekommen mit Bildern und Videos. Die Wohnung an sich ist recht klein, aber alles was man braucht ist vorhanden. Innen ist es ein wenig düster, aber man kann wunderbar auf der Terrasse mit privatem Garten sitzen und den Blick aufs Meer genießen! Im Haus wohnt außerdem eine ganz liebe und verschmuste Katze, was uns besonders gefreut hat, da sie uns die Zeit sehr versüßt hat! Für Menschen mit Katzenhaarallergie ist es allerdings wahrscheinlich gut zu wissen, da sie auch mal in die Wohnung kommt.

Overall the house was fine, the location is quiet and peaceful which matches the description. The house was a bit too damp and humid, probably because it’s a ground floor. A dehumidifier would definitely help to improve the air quality.
The unit itself was smaller than expected, and the floor could have been a bit cleaner. I also suggest to change the ceiling lights to a more yellow and warmer tone. Some of the plugs were also not working.
We also thought the garden would be a bit more private when we checked the pictures.
On the other hand, the person in charge of the house was quite friendly and responsive with very clear instructions on how to reach it. Overall it was fine.

We really enjoyed this accommodation to explore Madeira. Caniço is more quiet then Funchal, but still has all the resources and a good connection to all the must do' on the island. There is always parking (€0.40/hour during the day) in the streets parallel to the house. We stayed here for two weeks with our baby. An Island Apart provided everything we needed, which was very convenient. Communication with host went very smoothly. Highlight of the apartment is definitely the private garden, with a covered and non-covered balcony. There are a lot of mosquitoes some days and no insectdoors tobthe actual house, so I'd recommend bringing repellent.

Gospodarz (Beatrice) była bardzo pomocna i uśmiechnięta. Przekazała nam od razu wiele rekomendacji gdzie warto zjeść czy zrobić zakupy. Była bardzo komunikatywna w języku angielskim. Sam apartament położony jest w bardzo cichej i spokojnej okolic dlatego można naprawdę odpocząć. Duży plus za wyposażenie kuchni, dostępną pralkę, nową suszarkę do włosów oraz żelazko. Gorąco polecam! Malutki minus za parking wyłącznie na ulicy- w tygodniu oraz w soboty płatny zgodnie z taryfą miejską.

It was a really excellent stay which met all our expectations. It was clean and tidy with a lovely garden. The area was very peaceful and it was so nice to watch the morning sunrise above the island out to sea! An additional angle poised lamp would have been handy but that is a really minor point to make! Beatrice e foarte drăguță , ne-a făcut șederea minunată, o căsuță cochetă cu o grădină superbă situată într-un cartier incredibil de frumos pe malul oceanului . Ai toate dotările necesare la bucătărie , detergent de haine, condimente , cafea, ceai, chiar și un vin din partea casei. Cel mai frumos loc în care ne-am cazat până acum . Mulțumesc Beatrice !

Lovely location, gorgeous garden and patio space that is perfect for a breakfast coffee or evening meal. The inside of the apartment is a little lacking and very dark. It had the basic kitchen amenities and the bathroom was well equipped, although the bedroom was bleak. It's a good place for a few nights but I wouldn't recommend it much longer than that. We did have trouble with a foul smell emanating from the washing machine and there is a huge ant problem inside and out so keep your food in the fridge. Overall, with a few finishing touches it could be the perfect place but as it is, I wouldn't come back.

Wir haben die Zeit in der Wohnung mit den wunderschönen Terrassen sehr genossen. Zu Fuss ist alles wichtige erreichbar und Parkplätze gegen eine kleine Gebühr an der Straße vorhanden. Man kann mit dem Auto nicht bis zur Tür fahren. Dies hat uns nicht gestört. Das Appartement ist etwas dunkler als auf den Bildern und hat alles was im Urlaub benötigt wird. Wir buchen wieder, wenn wir auf Madeira sind.

Der Aufenthalt von An Island war insgesamt sehr gut, jedoch würde ich einen Aufenthalt für nicht länger als 14 Tagen auf Grund der Größe des Apartments empfehlen. Die Gastgeberin war sehr freundlich und immer zu erreichen. Sehr gut gefallen hat uns auch der persönliche Check-in, da wir spät nachts angereist sind und das Apartment nicht ohne Hilfe gefunden hätten. Nicht so gut lief die wöchentliche Reinigung. Diese hat leider nur einmal, statt der angekündigten dreimal stattgefunden. Ansonsten können wir die Unterkunft weiterempfehlen.

Beatrice was very welcoming and helped us settle right in. The location is quiet, yet driving anywhere doesn't take too long due to the small size of the island.

Petit endroit très agréable , le vraie plus d’avoir un extérieur ! Manque à notre sens de prises au niveaux du couchage , mais bon rien de dramatique 🙂. Logement bien situé pour visiter , une hôtesse accueillante et disponible. Sacha était lui très accueillant 😻
